Crumbl Cookie Review: Tres Leches Cake & Iced Oatmeal

Updated:

Descriptions

❄️ ICED OATMEAL
Sweet and spiced—this cinnamon oatmeal cookie is smothered with a yummy vanilla cream cheese glaze.

🍰 TRES LECHES CAKE
A light, fluffy vanilla cake soaked in a classic tres leches sauce, topped with whipped cream, and sprinkled with a layer of cinnamon.

Summary

I didn’t get the other cookies in this week’s lineup. Aside from that, the Tres Leches Cake is likely something to try.

Review

❄️ ICED OATMEAL
Score: 5.5 / 10
This looks amazingly gooey but if it only tasted as good as it looked. It comes across as a lite version of an iced oatmeal cookie as it simply lacks the flavor. It’s a little oaty and the texture is both thick and soft on the inside and lightly crunchy on the out. The sweetness and flavors such as cinnamon are really missing which makes the cookie more bland than your typical iced oatmeal cookie. At least the icing on top is a little sweet but it still doesn’t save it.

🍰 TRES LECHES CAKE
Score: 6 / 10
This is a traditional tasting tres leches cake. Super moist and milky at the bottom with a regular sponge tasting cake flavor and topped with whipped cream. If I had to criticize anything, I’d say it’s missing strawberries or some fruit because otherwise, in my opinion, tres leches can be on the more plain side. Notably, I personally find Crumbl’s Tres Leches cookie to be a lot better overall.
