Trail Mixes

Tropical Trail Mix

Score: 7.5 / 10

This mix could be absolutely wonderful if it weren’t for one thing: the chocolate chunks. Not that it needs less; in fact, if it had a lot more, it would be so, so good! Everything else is there: the crispy banana chips, the peanuts, raisins, and the rest of the other ingredients, which play a smaller part. But every time, reaching in, I found myself wanting to grab one of those thick chocolate chunks and pair it with everything else.

The whole thing is more of a salty-savory experience with some sweetness driven by the raisins, chocolate, and little fruit pieces. Texture-wise, like the ingredients, it falls on the lightly crunchy side but is easily complemented by all the soft and chewier pieces.

Going back, this is an overall good mix. I really appreciate how it doesn’t rely on the typical granola and pretzel, too, it’s just, as a sweets person, I’d really appreciate more chocolate because it would bring up everything else in this jar!

I’m unsure of an exact release date. Found June 2025.

Cookie Dough Trail Mix

Score: 6.75 / 10

The supposed “sweet” parts—the cookie dough and cookies and cream bites—aren’t all that sweet, and combined with the more salty stuff, this trail mix may be less sweet than you expect. Still, it runs between mildly and moderately sweet, depending on what you grab.

What is stagnant is the texture. The cookie dough pieces and even everything else are either crunchy or more of a soft-hard texture, so there isn’t much soft chewiness like other trail mixes.

I’d like to see more cookie dough pieces because, well, it’s literally called cookie dough trail mix. Making them softer wouldn’t hurt either. Further, include complementary pieces that are softer, chewier, and sweeter. Still, it’s not all bad, and the trail mix combination is good enough.

I’m unsure of an exact release date. Found June 2025.

Cotton Candy Trail Mix

Score: 7 / 10

Smells like a sweet, nutty cotton candy. Gathering a bunch—wow, what a combo! I get a light nutty flavor with a sweet sugary and creamy cotton candy and… what’s this? Popping candy too?!

It’s actually really weird how all these ingredients just work and how it really does taste like a creamy cotton candy. In reality, it’s a combination of strawberry, creamy yogurt, and a few other complementary pieces, so perhaps I’m using a bit of imagination. Either way, the vibe is absolutely there!

The textures work hand in hand too, offering light crunches and soft pieces.

Released around June 2023. Found June 2025.

Dark Chocolate Espresso Trail Mix

Score: 4.5 / 10

I expected a strong, bold coffee and chocolate flavor from these. Instead, while the flavors are present, they’re lighter than I’d thought they’d be. A mildly sweet dark chocolate with a small addition of a nutty coffee is the overall taste. It’s all pretty tame and, in my opinion, boring.

Lastly, the texture is mostly crunchy. There really aren’t many, if any, soft or chewy pieces to help contrast what’s going on. Personally, I’m just not a fan.

I’m unsure of an exact release date. Found June 2025.

Dill Pickle Trail Mix

Score: 6 / 10

For a pickle flavor, it’s a tad sweet and surprisingly quite pleasant, nowhere near as punchy as any pickle-flavored anything I’ve had! Overall, it’s very light and tasty, and combined with the saltiness, it works surprisingly well.

My biggest issue isn’t the flavor; it’s the texture. It’s uniform, and personally, I prefer a mix of things or softer textures. This instead is soft-ish crunchy—it’s not bad, it’s pretty good, just not my top choice. Also, I much prefer something sweet instead of savory.

Released April 2024. Found June 2025.

Peanut Butter Chocolate Trail Mix

Score: 7.25 / 10

Peanut, peanut, and more peanut! And chocolate! My first thought after having a few is, don’t think of these as a Reese’s; instead, they’re a lot like other chocolate peanut butter cups. Less sweet than Reese’s and containing more of an authentic peanut taste. The sweetness is still up there, though, especially from the chocolate, while the peanut flavor complements it perfectly well.

The texture is interesting. First off, several of my pieces started to mold together for some reason, perhaps because they were softened by the heat in shipping. Nonetheless, what was provided is a smorgasbord of soft chocolate and peanut from their respective candy chips with soft and lightly crunchy separate nutty peanut pieces. The chocolate and peanut feel about equal in flavor, which is great!

Definitely get these if you enjoy sweeter (but not overly so) chocolate peanut butter-based candies!

I can’t find a release date for these. Found June 2025.

Loaded Ice Cream Sundae Trail Mix

Score: 6.25 / 10

Ice cream sundae? Eh, I guess? I mean, it’s sort of the toppings for one, at least. What really bothers me is, well, the included salty pieces like the pretzels. It really seems like they tone down everything else, which to me isn’t a good thing because I love sweets! For example, I really enjoyed how this included a variety of so many sweet things like cookie dough bites, chocolates, peanuts, and birthday cake candy balls. It’s tasty, but the pretzels “balance it,” though, in my opinion, not in a good way.

Texture-wise, like the flavors, the pretzels make up a bulk of the crunch, with the tiny cut peanuts adding to it, while most other pieces of the mix fall on the softer-solid side; again, I’d prefer them without the pretzels. So, in the end, I guess I’m not a fan of trail mixes with pretzels—this would be great otherwise!

Spotted in stores around April 25, 2025, as part of Favorite Day’s seasonal offerings. Found June 2025.

S’mores Trail Mix

Score: 7.25 / 10

Pretty much s’mores mislabeled as trail mix. It has all the necessary pieces, and they all work equally well together. The only difference is the occasional crunchy peanut taste from the nuts.

My biggest gripe is the texture. Unlike s’mores, which have a soft, large marshmallow, most of the pieces in here aside from the marshmallow all fall more on the crunchier side—in fact, even the covered marshmallow present here isn’t nearly as chewy or enjoyable as a regular one. If anything, I’d like to see larger, soft marshmallows to counterbalance the harder, crunchier pieces.

I can’t find a release date for these. Found June 2025.

Peanut Butter S’mores Trail Mix

Score: 6.75 / 10

I’m not the biggest fan of trail mix, but what they included here was a good combination. Texture-wise, there are enough soft and equally crunchy pieces. On the other hand, in regard to its taste, similarly, some are sweet, some are more mild, and some are salty. The overall flavor falls on a more moderately sweet, peanuty side, not much of a s’more.

On that note, what’s disappointing is the supposed s’mores. Unfortunately, the marshmallows are tiny and resemble a less sweet cereal marshmallow in terms of flavor and texture. Further, the chocolate taste, while there, is quite light, overshadowed by the peanut and other goodies. So, for the most part, it’s missing most of the s’mores, unfortunately.

While I’m unsure of an exact release date, reviews date back to May 2024. Found June 2025.
