Cafe Valley Girl Scouts S’mores Mini Cupcakes
Score: 7 / 10

I immediately noticed the frosting sticks together. You try to bite a piece, and it all slides off entirely, like a weird goo. Essentially, it feels very artificial. The taste of both the cupcake itself and the frosting resembles toasted marshmallow and caramel, not any chocolate, really. The texture of the cupcake is typical: slightly moist, regular cake. Overall, it’s not really s’mores, just a sweet caramel marshmallow.
Released in August 2024 alongside other Girl Scout flavored cupcakes. Found at Walmart.
Cafe Valley Girl Scouts Coconut Caramel Mini Cupcakes
Score: 6 / 10

The first thing I notice: this frosting is weird! It’s kind of a soft-hard, artificial feeling, similar to a mix of ganache and frosting; it doesn’t have the softness of regular frosting, which really turns me away. This frosting tastes like a mix of artificial light chocolate and caramel; it’s moderately sweet. There are also little nubs of coconut in this frosting, but they aren’t too impactful. The cupcake cake itself is very plain and on the dryer side. Overall, these aren’t that close to their cookie counterparts; they’re a lot worse and feel cheap.
Released in August 2024 alongside other Girl Scout flavored cupcakes. Found at Walmart.
Reese’s Red Velvet Miniatures
Score: 8 / 10

I’ve never seen a red Reese’s; these are half pink-red, half dark brown. The flavor is exactly as advertised, with a noticeable red velvet flavor and the traditional Reese’s chocolate and peanut butter. However, these come across as just a tinge less sweet. Overall, it’s a great and welcomed combination!
Released in late December / early January 2024 for the Valentine’s season. Found at Walmart.
Sweet Haven Cocoa Cookie and Salted Caramel Truffles
Score: 6 / 10

Each piece is individually wrapped. Both of these are nearly identical in terms of taste and texture. Moderately sweet candies overall, they each sport a semi-crunchy shell and an overly thin and airy layer of filling; it feels cheap. The Salted Caramel one has a thin layer of artificial-tasting caramel slime, and the Cocoa Cookie has an airy-soft milk chocolate filling that reminds me of 3 Musketeers but a lot less soft and enjoyable. Simply put, it is too artificial and too thin.
I’m not sure when these were released; found at Ocean State Job Lot.
Aldi Park Street Limited Edition Snickerdoodle Cannoli Dip
Score: 8.5 / 10

It is so sweet, especially compared to regular cannoli, that it almost tastes like frosting except in cannoli texture. It tastes like they mixed: a bunch of sugar, a light amount of cinnamon, a good amount of butter, and some traditional cannoli flavor. It goes great with most cookies or crackers; honestly, it would even work on a cake!
Released on September 6, 2024, for the fall and winter season. Found at Aldi.
Benton’s Belgian Butter Waffle Crisps
Score: 6.5 / 10

It’s a mix between a cookie, a cracker, and a waffle. They’re semi-thick, semi-crunchy, and fall apart easily. They don’t seem to have a discernable taste other than being semi-sweet and having the slightest butter taste; most of the flavor comes from the dark chocolate-dipped side.
I’m not sure when these were released. Found at Aldi.
Pagasa Gingerbread Christmas Village Kit
Score: 5 / 10

The gingerbread house itself is pretty crunchy and has a light gingerbread taste. The frosting it comes with is weird; it feels cheap and slimy and slides off the house parts. It’s also very sweet, tasting like pure sugar. The additional two little tubes of white frosting taste extremely artificial, weird, and bitter. Overall, this house kit tastes extremely cheap compared to other ones.
I’m not sure when this was released. Found at Walgreens.
Cap Candy The Beary Hot Challenge
Score: 3 / 10

It’s just hot without any other flavor. At first, these tough-textured gummies are slightly sweet, but when you reach the inside, they are hot. Not really spicy, just “hot,” with no discernable flavor. I personally didn’t find it too bad; the hotness lasted a few minutes. Overall, it’s pretty bland and boring.
I’m unsure of an exact release date, although reviews date back to mid-2023. Found at Walgreens.
Kisses Meltaway
Score: 7.5 / 10

The chocolate on the inside of these tastes a little different than regular kisses, almost slightly sweeter and more chocolatey. These kisses are just like truffles as they have a soft-solid middle. It’s not exactly “melt in your mouth,” but it’s still quite soft and enjoyable!
Reviews date back to around early January 2021. These have come back every year since for the Valentine’s season.
M&M’s Strawberries & Creme
Score: 7.5 / 10

Coming in around the same level of sweetness as regular M&M’s, these instead sport a sweet strawberry flavor. The strawberry isn’t at all overpowering; it’s even nearly creamy. These M&M’s are chunky and thick, with a light crunch from the solid white inside.
Released in early January 2025 for the Valentine’s season.
