Scoring & Verdict
Royal Family Mochi Strawberry Cheesecake
Score: 7.5 / 10

Review
These are pale pastel pink with a light dusting of sugar, and the inside is white cream. Honestly, I’m surprised by how accurate the flavor is. It really tastes like a fairly sweet strawberry cheesecake you’re biting into. It’s exceptionally creamy and milky, and the combination of sugar and strawberry really brings out the full flavor profile.

Royal Family Mochi Mint Chocolate Chip
Score: 7 / 10

Review
These are all individually wrapped. Like the packaging, they’re chocolate-looking mochi with a dusting of sugar. The inside is a faint green-white filling with tiny chocolate chips. The taste is a balanced combination of mildly sweet mint and chocolate, reminding me a lot of those vintage chocolate treats that are overly sweet and overly minty. But this is much milder, almost dull, with a very inoffensive, smooth mint and a darker chocolate flavor. If anything, I wish it were a smidge sweeter. That aside, it has the same chewy mouthfeel as any other mochi, but I do appreciate the little bits of chocolate chips, which provide some contrast.

CW Mochi Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookies
Score: 7 / 10

Review
These are individually wrapped, with a cute character on each. They look exactly like they do on the package: a darker chocolate chip cookie. However, the inside is not white at all; in fact, it’s quite a dark, translucent gel. There is a good amount of this filling, which causes the cookie shell to crumble when you bite into it.
The cookie part is a bit too dry, though the lightly chewy inside somehow works, essentially making it all stick together when chewing. It’s an interesting mouthfeel experience to say the least. Flavor-wise, it’s a fairly sweet, dark chocolate chip cookie. The filling has no flavor whatsoever; the cookie shell provides everything. It’s a good, chocolately cookie taste overall, and the filling makes you raise an eyebrow — not necessarily in a bad way, though.

Hershey’s Affogato Chocolate Bar
Score: 7.5 / 10

Review
These look similar to a regular Hershey’s bar, except they are squares and you can break off pieces. It also smells almost like a regular Hershey’s bar with a hint of creamy, sugary, coffee-ish flavor. They have a very thin, almost solid caramel layer and below that, a soft, solid, creamy white layer.
Flavor-wise, it’s just a richer, creamier Hershey’s bar with a slightly different profile. To me, this also has a hint of sugary-creamy coffee, which boasts the chocolate flavor itself without throwing you a punchy “this is coffee” taste.
What you get is an elevated, richer, and more premium-tasting Hershey’s bar with a soft inside. Although the chocolate shell is already pretty soft, so the insides aren’t too noticeable–it’s basically uniform in texture from the shell to the filling.
Release Date
Hershey’s released Affogato- and Salted Caramel-flavored bars on September 1, 2026. Found at Walmart in early October 2026.
KitKat Breaking Bones
Score: 7.5 / 10

Review
A dressed-up vanilla Kit Kat package. They’re notably creamy, reasonably sweet, vanilla-boasting KitKats. They’re about the same sweetness level as their chocolate cousins, but with a smooth, creamy, non-artificial sugary vanilla flavor. Combined with the light wafer crunchiness, it makes for a good and pleasant combination.
Release Date
Released in 2022, replacing the orange-colored Halloween KitKats. Found in early October 2026 at Walmart.
Harry & David Maple Pecan Filled Wafer Rolls
Score: 7.5 / 10

Review
The filling in these is a darker white/pale brown, surrounded by a chocolate brown shell. These aren’t incredibly filled either. Taste-wise, it’s a fairly sweet, smooth, sugary vanilla-like flavor. Not precisely vanilla, although it’s most of the flavor profile—there is something else there. Perhaps a touch of sugary maple and pecan? Sort of–frankly, I wouldn’t have guessed if you blind folded me, although after a few bites, I can start to see it. There’s at least definitely more maple than any explicit nut flavor, to say the least. It’s a unique flavor I haven’t encountered in other wafers, and furthermore, these are a hair sweeter than average compared to the competition, which is nice.
In terms of mouthfeel, the cream is soft and provides a nice contrast to the biscuit-crunchy wafer. Yeah, the wafer is smooth, pleasantly crunchy, and only slightly flaky. Then, in terms of taste, I don’t think it does much, as the filling seems to provide all of the sweetness and flavor.

Karens Bakery Vanilla Danish Puff Pastries
Score: 6.5 / 10

Review
They are covered with sparkly sugar crystals–so pretty! Two of these diva biscuit-looking cookies surround a fairly thin white frosting. Biting in, I’m reminded of a cannoli in terms of texture and mouthfeel. They have that iconic soft, flaky, light chew with a mildly moist, buttery glaze. Then, in terms of taste, it’s mostly a moderately sweet sugar with some mild vanilla notes. Honestly, kind of boring, as the vanilla doesn’t really come out much, and the cream in the center, while nice, could be thicker and more substantial.
Essentially, imagine a sugar-tasting cannoli or puff pastry with too little filling. Still, if you like sugar, you’ll enjoy these.

Cinnabon Cinnamon Roll Frosted Pretzels
Score: 6.5 / 10

Review
As a pretzel-covered-anything hater, these were pretty good!
A slightly thin, smooth, darkish-white frosting surrounds these pretzels. Biting in, I’m immediately met with primarily salty pretzel taste, then hit with a sweet, sugary vanilla-ish taste with a hint of cinnamon. I really was expecting more cinnamon, though I appreciate the sweet, creamy, almost milky vanilla taste. I also wish the cream frosting was a bit thicker, though it’s sufficient as it stands, providing a soft, creamy contrast to the thin, lightly crunchy inner pretzel–yeah, these aren’t as crunchy as a regular pretzel nor quite as thick as one.
Release Date
Released around mid-to-late 2025. Found at Burlington in mid-October 2026.
Tastee Coconut & Marshmallow Chocolate Pie
Score: 5.75 / 10

Review
These are all wrapped individually. They’re thick, with a thin layer of chocolate that surrounds the entire thing. They resemble a Moon Pie: the thin chocolate shell surrounds two super-soft, shortbread-like crumbly cookies with a thick marshmallow in between.
It’s a mildly to moderately sweet, mostly buttery taste with hints of chocolate and coconut. As a coconut person, I can definitely attest that these need more flavor, as they more or less taste like a less-than-flavorful, buttery cookie. Also, these are super crumbly, likely because they’re on the drier, airier side, especially the cookie part. Lastly, the inner marshmallow seems thin but has some strength, giving it a thick mouthfeel, but with the weirdly dry cookie part, it all seems a bit off.
When microwaved, the marshmallow expands, and the cookie as a whole becomes softer and more stretchy. It’s much better like this!
Overall, these are more or less moon pies with a fancy name.

Starbucks Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai
Score: 7 / 10

Review
Talk about a lengthy name! Anyway, it’s got a thick, pleasantly creamy foam at the top, and the drink as a whole feels rich. Taste-wise, it hits you with a sweet, eggnog-like flavor with notes of cinnamon and pumpkin. I don’t know if I got explicit chai from it; perhaps it was overpowered by the sweetness and eggnog flavor.
At least, that’s the foam flavor.
The underlying drink is more chai- and pumpkin-oriented, losing out on that eggy-ish taste and cinnamon.
Either way, it’s a fall- and even winter-reminding drink to me, though more pumpkin flavor, specifically with the foam, would be nice.

Snickers Banana Nut Bread
Score: 8 / 10

Review
Both inside and out, these look identical to a Snickers bar, which makes sense, since the package just says the nougat inside is banana-flavored. Similarly, the mouthfeel is identical to a Snickers, and the taste is nearly the same, perhaps a little sweeter. I honestly did not get any banana flavor, let alone any suggestion of banana bread from this. If you blindfolded me, I’d have guessed this was more or less a regular Snickers bar.
Release Date
Released September 18, 2026, exclusively to Walgreens. Found at Walgreens mid-October 2026.
