These taste somewhat like regular Twinkies. The sweetness here is slightly more tame, and the taste is a little different. If you find regular Twinkies too sweet, you may enjoy these more.
Instead of having a primarily vanilla flavor, these drop some of that and replace it with a light, warm brown sugar or cinnamon-like flavor, which comes from the inner creme. The vanilla is still there, but only partially. Combined with the taste of the cakey Twinkie shell, you do get a resemblance to a sugary, artificial snickerdoodle flavor; however, it still has a regular Twinkie-cake-forward taste.
Overall, I prefer the originals because they are a tad sweeter with a more pronounced flavor.
