A ranking and review of Dubai chocolate bars, candies, and sweets. Which Dubai chocolate treats are actually worth buying?
General Review
Needless to say, the Dubai chocolate craze has taken over 2024 and beyond, with social media influencers, companies, and big chain stores making their own versions or spin-offs.
For the most part, my experience has been mixed so far. Many of the treats I’ve tried are good, though not great, and even more so, they’re expensive! You’ll likely find a lot of my reviews of these products are similar, because, well, they are! In fact, I’d go so far as to suggest that they’re all โ yes, Dubai products โ are perhaps overhyped, usually only adding a light crunch and, at best, mildly nutty and earthy flavors, often overshadowed by other represented tastes.
Unfortunately, the wealth of my experience chowing down on all these treats and candies has found that the difference between most is minimal, as the Dubai-based fillings and flavors are generally very mild and subtle at their strongest.
The key to appreciating this viral trend is to eat the snacks slowly and to pay attention to their nuances. With patience, you’ll notice the wonderful differences between them, well, most of them.

Pocas Hello Mochi Dubai Style Chocolate Flavor
Score: 6 / 10

Review
A very dark-colored mochi shell encases a softer, green filling. The two textures are different: the mochi is more gummy-like, while the inside is like a thicker paste or frosting.
Unfortunately, I have to report that I did not get any nutty or explicit Dubai flavor. It fell more on a mochi chocolate side, not sweet or dark–If you’ve had mochi before, you know what I mean. It has a rice-like chocolate flavor as its main flavor profile. They come across as mildly to moderately sweet overall.
Lastly, I did notice a few crunchy kataifi bits on the inside that got stuck between my teeth, but they didn’t add much crunch, as there were too few to even begin with. More or less, these are regular chocolate mochi, and even with the filling, the mochi shell overshadows it in both taste and texture.

Astor Gudlife Dubai Style Krunch Candy Bars: Pistachio Creme, Cookie Butter, and Cookies & Cream
Score: 7.5 / 10

Review
Just a note: I do notice that these are much softer and more susceptible to melting. The inside filling is very, very noticeably soft, and the chocolate part of the shell itself is also softer than your average chocolate, so be careful! Overall, the three bars remind me of Belgian or European-based chocolate: super creamy and premium, though these are much sweeter.
Pistachio Cremeย
Representing its flavor profile is a definite sweet milk chocolate. Unfortunately, I don’t get any nuttiness or Dubai flavor. Nonetheless, it’s extremely creamy, soft, and sweet; it tastes like an overly sweet premium chocolate bar with a European or Belgian twist. There’s also a light crunchiness from the inside, but it’s not a crazy amount by any means–they could have done a lot more in this department as well. So, while it wasn’t Dubai, it’s still a very premium, creamy, soft, and sweet chocolate bar.ย
Cookie Butter
Unfortunately, this was slightly deformed due to partial melting. It has a chocolate shell and a darkish cookie-looking filling.
The flavor, if you blindfolded me, I would have guessed a very sweet, chocolate-forward, cookie-dough-based European chocolate bar. Actually, now that I think about it, perhaps it’s actually cookie butter instead of cookie dough, but either way, the vibe is similar. Basically, it’s a very premium, creamy, super-sweet, European-style chocolate-flavored bar with a good amount of cookie butter (or cookie dough) flavor right behind that primary milk chocolate flavor.
If you like cookie dough or cookie butter, you’ll absolutely love this flavor combination together. Also, while it does say Dubai style, the only thing Dubai was was a few crunchy cookie pieces inside. Imagine grinding up a few little cookie bits and throwing them in โ nothing crazy, as they just provide the mildest contrast to the super soft and creamy chocolate bar as a whole.
Cookies & Cream
First, I love how bright pastel green these are, and the inside filling looks like ground-up cookies-and-cream bits all mixed together. It can almost be mistaken for a mint-flavor candy bar, at least in looks. But in terms of actual taste, imagine a cookies-and-cream bar, even sweeter. The sweetness definitely accentuates the cookies-and-cream part, and notably, the inside filling is lightly crunchy from the ground-up cookie bits. Overall, it’s a European-style feeling chocolate bar, with a super-sweet, creamy cookies-and-cream mouthfeel and flavor profile.
Release Date
While I can’t find individual release dates, they were likely released around May 2025. Found on Amazon (Cookie Butter and Cookies & Cream) and Five Below (Pistachio Creme) in early May 2026.

Review
Opening this up, I immediately noticed that the bar itself is quite thick and heavy. It has strips of light-green dye running through the center of the chocolate bar. I also noticed a chocolatey smell with a light nuttiness, so my hopes were up to say the least. The filling is a bright Irish-like green, and surprisingly, the shell is thinner than the inside filling itself, unlike most other Dubai chocolate bars.
Biting in there seems to be an equal balance of a light crunch from the shell, a very soft inner filling, and an even lighter crunch from the kataifi bits. The taste, unfortunately, while not explicitly Dubai, is sweeter than your average chocolate bar, with a very slight nuttiness. Interestingly, if you’d blindfolded me, I wouldn’t have guessed pistachio. In fact, I might have even guessed it was a hint of hazelnut or some other nut.
Either way, it’s primarily a sweet milk chocolate bar with a slight nutty tang. The big takeaway from these is the soft overall mouthfeel, thanks to the generous inner filling.

Muddy Bites Dubai Chocolate Filled Waffle Cone Snacks
Score: 7 / 10

Review
These look entirely like their regular dark chocolate waffle cones. I guess I expected something on top, but upon inspecting the package, I was wrong.
On the inside is a greenish soft filling, notably softer than other Muddy Bites fillings. When I bit in, I immediately noticed how soft the filling was. The taste was a creamy, lightly sweet dark chocolate. It wasnโt bitter by any means, nor super cocoa-like; it was between milk and dark chocolate, likely because the filling brought down the dark chocolate of the shell.
Unfortunately, I didnโt get any explicit Dubai or nutty flavors, and the waffleโs crunch likely overrode the inner filling’s crunchiness. Overall, these are just regular waffle cones that are pleasant to eat, noticeably creamy, and have a darker chocolate flavor.

Review
The appearance is a chocolate square with what seem to be painted swirls of yellow and green. Interestingly, this is not a frosting; it looks like a dye was added quickly to the chocolate mixture on top. Smell-wise, it smelled simply like sweet chocolate, reminding me of a Hershey’s bar. Then, breaking them open to inspect, it’s mostly a milk chocolate shell with a thin layer of dark green, soft filling.
The overall taste is remarkably sweet milk chocolate. It doesn’t taste weird or artificial, and it kind of reminds me of even a sweeter version of a Hershey’s bar. Granted, it doesn’t have that exact flavor profile, but what I’m getting at is that it doesn’t necessarily taste cheap or premium; it’s in the middle.
Unfortunately, with that sweetness, I felt like it overrode any potential Dubai, nutty, or pistachio flavors. But maybe there was just a hint of nuttiness? Either way, I could hardly tell. Simply put, the filling is too thin, and the chocolate is way too sweet. It does make for a good chocolate bar, nonetheless, assuming you want something very sweet.
In terms of its composition, it’s a regular chocolate with a hint of soft crunchiness from the filling. I also found that the shell itself wasn’t too hard nor too soft. Again, like its taste, this really does have the mouthfeel of a generic chocolate bar.
Overall, there’s nothing really Dubai about this. It’s really as surface-level as the dye they added to these chocolate squares. A sweet chocolate bar, nothing more.

Bolci Dubai Chocolate Bar
Score: 7.25 / 10

Review
Initially, when biting in, I noticed a small snap from the shell and a light crunchiness from the inside, which surprisingly worked well together.
In terms of flavor, the chocolate dominates, and it’s actually not a bad thing. In fact, it’s definitely an above-average milk chocolate, with a taste similar to a premium, European-based chocolate bar, but with more sugar. It’s noticeably smooth, creamy, and fairly sweet, and by itself, makes for a very good chocolate bar experience.
Unfortunately, we are also here for the filling. Besides the crunchy parts, I don’t think it really added much nuance or actual difference to the flavor profile.
Overall, a good, creamy, and sweet chocolate bar. In terms of a Dubai bar, I don’t think many will find this worth their while.

Whole Foods Dubai Cookie Bites
Score: 8.5 / 10

Review
The filling is incredible! Equal parts soft, airy, and very moist buttery cookie that practically melts in your mouth, and the other part, which is the Dubai filling, consisting of a lightly crunchy, moist, and thick wet-like goo. These two together provide a superb, contrasting mouthfeel, with the perfect amount of light crunch and overall moistness and softness.
The taste is clearly pistachio, though it’s not punchy or necessarily nutty, instead relying more on a sugary, authetic taste. Alongside this, a clearly distinct sweet mix of traditional Dubai flavors, all followed by a hint of chocolate. Then, lastly, the cookie part, which adds some creamy butteriness. Overall, it’s fairly sweet, which I think helps bring out the flavors and lets you appreciate the standout Dubai and buttery cookie flavors.
Definitely a top-tier Dubai-flavored treat that nails everything you want from something like this, not to mention the mouthfeel, and biting through it makes you want more… and more!

Review
They don’t look as good as on the package, instead having much duller, barely noticeable yellowish-green strips and some thin, ground-up, crunchy bits on top. For the most part, this looks like chocolate bark with some bits on top, nothing more.
Biting in, this feels like moderately sweet milk chocolate bark with a light, buttery waffle cone-like background taste. Chocolate-dipped waffle cone? Honestly, it’s very close! I just wish other flavors were more present, especially any Dubai! Otherwise, it’s a tasty, semi-crunchy, thin chocolate cookie.

Starbucks Dubai Chocolate Matcha and Iced Dubai Chocolate Mocha
Score: 5.25 / 10

Review
First, both have the salted brown butter topping. The difference comes from the ingredients below.
Chocolate Mocha has: espresso, mocha sauce, and pistachio cream cold foam.
Chocolate Matcha has: matcha powder and chocolate cream cold foam.
Onto the review…
Both were very similar in taste. Simply put, the Matcha had a mildly sweet overall taste, with equal parts milk chocolate and light matcha. If you’re expecting a bold matcha or chocolate flavor here, this isn’t it; it’s way too mild, and the sweetness level doesn’t help.
The Mocha had a similar sweetness level, but this drink was entirely milk chocolate with an essence of generic nuttiness from the pistachio foamโhonestly, it was literally chocolate milk, and a drink that was barely sweet enough to be just passable.
I found both of these drinks boring. No crunchy pieces, no Dubai-based flavors–why even label it as such? They could have done so much better with these!

Galerie Au Chocolat Dubai Style Milk Truffles
Score: 8 / 10

Review
These are huge truffles! The shell is a fairly sweet regular milk chocolate, and it’s thick and creamy enough to complement the equally generous and thick Dubai-filled center.
This center is a light green, and while it doesn’t resemble many other Dubai-based fillings in appearance, it’s sweet, crunchy, and the nuanced flavors of the Dubai filling are clearly present. Combined with the sweet chocolate, it works and is elevated substantially.
I really want to emphasize: the filling is very generous and feels so good as you bite through the thick chocolate shell and are met with a dense and crunchy center. The sweetness is also key to these, without being overbearing, instead bringing out all the flavors.
These were done very well!

Oasis Treasures Pistachio Dubai Milk Chocolate Bar
Score: 7.25 / 10

Review
The bar looks semi-dark chocolate, with pale green spooky swirls at the top. The bar is also visually very thick, with large, break-apart squares.
Each square deceptively has a larger portion of shell than filling; granted, the insides aren’t thin by any means. Instead, the shell itself is slightly larger, offering a soft, creamy snap and a regular, moderately sweet milk chocolate flavor. What stands out is the filling, which is a bright dark green that looks like it was dyed (if that makes sense), and gives it light additional crunch, some more mouthfeel softness when you bite through, and a touch of traditional Dubai flavor.
Regarding the Dubai flavor, nothing stood out โ it was at best a generic one. Nothing too nutty or earthy, just sort of plain, as if they didn’t give too much thought into the nuances and what would work with the chocolate-flavored shell. With that, I’d say the overall flavor profile of the entire bar is chocolate. It might actually be a bit too sweet for its own good, overshadowing the already reasonably thick Dubai filling.
What you end up getting is a fairly sweet, regular chocolate bar with a mild Dubai taste that could have been more bold and pronounced. Really, I didn’t expect the shell to be that thick, and despite the decent amount of filling, it had a much more subtle Dubai-based taste.
I’d say this is average in terms of Dubai chocolate bars, with the saving grace being the thickness of both the chocolate and filling. It would have just been nice if the large amount of filling were more flavorful.

Lindt Dubai Style Milk Chocolate Stick
Score: 6.75 / 10

Review
I had reviewed their regular chocolate Dubai-based bar here. The big question is, is this version any different? It definitely looks different from the outside; instead of a uniform flat chocolate bar, these have breakable parts that appear thicker, and hopefully, have more filling… or even a better flavor!
Definitely thicker filling than the regular Lindt chocolate Dubai bars, though, less chocolately. One more comparison: the chocolate shell is about identical in texture and size to its counterpart–soft-ish chocolate, and a snap when you break apart a piece. Again, what differs is the larger amount of filling.
And perhaps most importantly, the most nutty Dubai bar I’ve had!
I don’t think it’s exactly pistachio, it’s more like a generic nuttiness with a combination of other earthy, very mild seasonings that make it taste like a differently flavored Dubai bar, as well as figuring out what type of nut this is made from. What you end up getting is a light chocolate bar with a mild crunch from the phyllo (very light crunches, especially compared to other Dubai bars I’ve had) from the center as well as a nutty, Dubai-ish flavor.
This Dubai flavor is notably different from most of the other Dubai flavors I’ve had, as again, it’s the most nutty one I’ve had to date. It’s overall still a good candy bar, but something about it leaning too much on the nutty side while neglecting all the other flavors makes it more subpar than it should be. Maybe just me–I just prefer other Dubai-flavored treats.
Lastly, it doesn’t taste as creamy as regular Lindt bars nor Lindt’s other Dubai bar, and comes across as less sweet, which again, makes the nuttiness even more pronounced.
Interesting trade-off, and in the overall scheme of Dubai bars, expect nuttiness and a different take on Dubai flavor.

Russell Stover Dubai Style Chocolate
Score: 8 / 10

Review
Russell Stover is known for its ultra-sweet candies. Long story short, while this is one of the sweeter Dubai-based bars I’ve had, it’s very tame compared to the rest of the Russell Stover candies. This comes across as a more authetic chocolate and somewhere between mildly and moderately sweet–it’s about perfect in my opinion, especially for what it’s trying to put forward.
First, these are all individually wrapped. A semi-dark, thin-ish shell that has pretty green twirls on it is wrapped in a generous amount of dark green, ganache-looking filling.
Biting into it, it’s thick, chunky, and smooth at the same time, and most importantly, premium feeling. There is a generous amount of light crunches that resembles a roasted coconut-like mouthfeel, and with how thick and soft the filling is, combined with the soft shell, it’s a great eating experience.
Most importantly, these are surprisingly flavorful and creamy, especially compared to other Dubai bars. Perhaps it’s the sweetness or the amount of filling; I’m not sure. However, the filling, while mild, has a subtle taste of the traditional Dubai flavor, where you can detect the slight nuttiness and earthy notes characteristic of Dubai. It works well with the chocolate portion of the treat as well.
These are a tier above most Dubai products I’ve had until now. They’re fulfilling, the filling is substantial, and the flavors and sweetness are just right. Russell Stover nailed this!

Leonessa Chocolatier Dubai Chocolate Cones
Score: 7.25 / 10

Review
These cones are some of the largest filled cones I’ve ever had! The cone itself has a soft crunch, resembling a light waffle cone with an equally mild graham-like cone taste.
This cone wraps around a good amount of filling. The top layer has crunchy bits on top of a thin, solid milk chocolate portion that’s lightly sweet, followed by a more substantial portion of a light green, softer filling that is supposed to give you the Dubai flavor it advertises. While the mouthfeel is good enough (as are most filled waffle cones) and how amazing these look and how they’re designed, unfortunately, overall, the flavors fall short.
First, it doesn’t help that the cone itself and the chocolate aren’t as flavorful as they should be. More importantly, the Dubai filling, like its pale color, has a pale flavor. Not only is it not as crunchy as most other Dubai products I’ve had, but the flavor also is more plain, and its texture is a smidge more solid instead of creamy like most others. The taste is, at best, an essence of Dubai. Honestly, I really tried looking for the supposed Dubai flavor, and I don’t think I got much of any. You could have blindfolded me, and I would have guessed this was just a lightly sweet chocolate-filled cone that needed more sweetness.

Miskets Dubai Milk Chocolate Bar
Score: 7.5 / 10

Review
These bars have a good amount of filling inside, all wrapped with an exceptionally soft milk chocolate shell. This shell has a similar, creamy flavor and sweetness to a regular, average chocolate bar. It’s not over the top, and the texture is definitely a standout!
There is a good amount of filling in this, and mouthfeel-wise, it throws you a good amount of crunchy bits as well as a pleasantly thick and soft feeling when you bite through. I also taste a hint of pistachio and other Dubai-like flavors present, but like other bars, they could be stronger and more pronounced in my opinion.
An overall good bar, primarily due to its authentic, chocolate flavor, complemented by the generous amount of crunchy, tasty filling.

Walmart Marketside Dubai-Style Chocolate Cake
Score: 7.75 / 10

Review
This cake is surprisingly small for its price ($13), especially given that you can get a same-sized Walmart cake for almost half! Really, it looks like it’s a cake for only a single person!
Upon inspection, the filling in the middle looks uneven, both in terms of how it’s presented and the filling-to-cake-ratio. For example, it’s oozing out on one side, but on the other, you can barely see it! Additionally, the cake portion, for better or worse, seems much, much larger in comparison. At the very least, it is well-decorated with twirly bits on top as well as a chocolate oval tag decoration with a gold design.
The cake itself looks like your standard boxed cake mix and the same type of cake you buy at the Walmart bakery. And biting in, well, it’s more or less similar to just that, although there are differences.
The cake layer itself tastes like Walmart’s typical moist, light, semi-dark, and sweet chocolate cake. It’s unoffending and will please most people. Truth be told, though, that’s what this cake mostly is.
First, and maybe it’s because it’s fresh from the fridge, the cream on top is stiffer than the usual Walmart cake frostings. It feels like it’s trying to be something more premium; unfortunately, however, it’s mostly flavorless, only providing some additional mouthfeel when you bite into the cake itself. The top twirly bits are the same story–not at all crunchy, as soft as the frosting and cake itself. Lastly, and surprisingly, the oval chip on top was a sweet and tasty dark chocolate with a snappy crunch (probably my favorite part about this cake, honestly).
So, that filling. It’sโฆ actually quite good for what you’re given. Sure, it’s uneven, but even the thinner parts provide a satisfying enough crunch–it feels like I’m chewing through a thick ganache full of roasted, crunchy coconut bits.
In terms of flavor, it provides a small something. I can’t tell what it is–it doesn’t feel like it’s a strong and explicit pistachio, more like a mix of, well, just a little something between some type of nuttiness, a slight amount of sugar, and a smidge of earthiness. However, unfortunately, the cake layers do overwhelm to some degree, though, don’t get me wrong, for such a thin filling, it does pack a noticeable addition to the mouthfeel and a hint of an additional flavor that does complement the cake as a whole. Perhaps if I tried hard enough, I could imagine a more explicit pistachio with other flavors.
Overall, the price of this cake is too much. On the other hand, for such a thinner filling, it punches above its weight, adding a pleasantly soft and thick texture to the cake as a whole, as well as some nuance to the flavor besides just straight-up chocolate.
Worth a buy? If you have the money or are really, really curious.

Patislove Pistachio Dark Chocolate Dubai Style Chocolate Bar
Score: 7.5 / 10

Review
This sports a good amount of inner pistachio ganache compared to many other bars I’ve had. The dark chocolate shell is also fairly thick, though very soft, and doesn’t have the usual crunch of typical chocolate bars. However, there are noticeable little crunches from the soft, creamy inner pistachio filling, which help nicely by providing an additional cushioned mouthfeel and crunchy bits.
For the most part, it’s a fairly mild, sweet dark chocolate bar that’s creamy, not at all artificial, and not bitter. The inner part, while not strong or any bold Dubai or explicitly pistachio flavored, boasts a huge amount of very creamy mouthfeel and is thick enough to provide a nice contrast.
The overall taste and the bite feel premium and thick, though I wish it were still more nutty. I love the amount of filling and crunchy bits. It’s essentially a really good, creamy dark chocolate bar with an essence of something added in–I can’t tell what it is, it’s not explicitly nutty, but something is there–like a vibe of traditional Dubai-based filling, which, honestly, is a lot compared to other bars on this list.
Lastly, the packaging is nice: a cute box and thick inner plastic.

Review
I can absolutely see this as no more than a regular, semi-crunchy, and filled Hershey chocolate bar. The flavor profile and sweetness are nearly identical, and unfortunately, that layer of soft, crunchy ganache-ish filling doesn’t contribute anything truly meaningful aside from some contrast to the soft-shelled chocolate bar. Again, think thinly filled Hershey chocolate bar–no pistachio or any other flavor here–likely overwhelmed by the sweeter chocolate.
A good chocolate bar–but Dubai, nuttiness, any real nuance? Nope.

Just the Fun Part Dubai Cones
Score: 7.25 / 10

Review
Largest filled waffle cones I’ve ever seen! Seriously, the cones are large, and sport something a little softer (yet still crunchy and thick) shell — it’s very graham-cracker and cookie-like! Flavor-wise, there is a light buttery cone taste.
The filling has a semi-sweet milk chocolate top with the bottom half being an even softer green ganache-like substance. The milk chocolate is your typical, smooth and creamy tasting chocolate, but unfortunately, aside from texture, the pistachio bottom doesn’t do much for me. It provides additional pillowy softness; however, flavor-wise, it’s fairly plain.
Overall, these do taste and have a mouthfeel of a premium-filled waffle cone. Just expect something that leans towards a regular tasting buttery chocolate graham waffle instead of traditional nutty Dubai vibes.

Syruvia Dubai Flavored Sugar Free Coffee Syrup
Score: 7 / 10

Review
I’ve had plenty of sugar-free syrups from all different brands, and truth be told, Syruvia and its Dubai flavor are a first for me. I didn’t know what to expect, especially since many Dubai-based snacks and treats have been letdowns.
Trying this by itself using a little spoon, I notice the chocolate tastes cheap and dull, and there seems to be some equally light nut flavor alongside it. I didn’t like it… until I threw some into my coffee.
The taste was definitely better. You could taste the chocolate as well as a pistachio-like flavor. Both are about equally represented and don’t come across as more artificial or fake than any other brand with chocolate or nutty-based syrup offerings. Basically, in a way, it’s pretty average and tasty enough to enjoy, especially if you want something with flavor notes of regular chocolate and pistachio.

Rolling Pin Dubai Style Chocolate
Score: 7.25 / 10

Review
The primary flavor here is a semi-dark, moderately sweet, non-bitter dark chocolate. It’s a very pleasant, smooth, and milky chocolate, and if I had to compare its sweetness, it’s a little less than Hershey’s, but only by a smidge. Aside from that, there’s a very, very light, vague nuttiness, no explicit pistachio or anything else really. Essentially, a good piece of quality chocolate, not really a crazy Dubai treat or a strongly flavored snack per se.
The composition is deceptive. The supposed large amount of filling seems chunky, but what you mostly get is a thick, semi-crunchy shell and bits of tiny, soft-crunchy pieces in the center in a ganache-like form that feel like coconut shreds. The shell and crunchy shreds are nice, though nothing to write home about.

Mieszko S.A. Amoretta Dubai Style Chocolate Truffle Balls
Score: 7.25 / 10

Review
I immediately noticed that the filling is a soft, thick, uniform, and smooth pale green ganache paste. The truffle is stuffed with it, as the shell is pretty thin, sporting a snappy crunch. Overall, it’s creamy and easy to bite through, and with the crunchy thin shell, it’s a nice combo.
The taste, interestingly, is mostly a very light, cheap-tasting milk chocolate. I’ve had similar-tasting chocolate at dollar stores, such as Palmer, though this isn’t quite as sweet. It essentially has this chalky-like taste alongside its chocolate–not bad, but it’s clearly not a premium or even average quality chocolate by any means.
Also, the filing is lightly sugary and mostly unflavorful. There doesn’t seem to be a discernible flavor to it, so what you get with the entire truffle–despite the filling being generous and thick– is a mildly sweet chocolate taste. In fact, if you blindfolded me, I would have guessed this is a cheaper tasting milk chocolate-based truffle with some sort of lightly sugary, plain creamy center.
Overall, these come across as cheap; however, they aren’t bad by any means. It’s basically just a decent chocolately treat with a good mouthfeel from the shell and filling.
