Cannoli Dips

Score: 8.25 / 10

You can find my review of their various Cannoli Dips here!

Aldi Specially Selected Belgian Cookie Gift Box

Score: 7.25-7.5 / 10 (range for all)

Overall, these all feel premium. Compared to other chocolate-based biscuit cookies and snacks, these feel a tier above. For example, the biscuit in all of these doesn’t feel cheap and instead comes across as reasonably thick but with a soft enough texture that it doesn’t have an offensive mouthfeel. Additionally, interestingly, they’re surprisingly sweet given the large biscuit cookie part and the mostly thin layers of chocolate.

Mignardise Vanillais: Coming in with double crunchy biscuits, these come across as one of the most crunchy of the bunch, moderately sweet overall, and with a chocolate and light coffee taste. There’s a small layer of hard-ish cream in the middle that throws in some sweetness and nuance to the texture. All together, it’s a great combination—and heck, you don’t even need the coffee with your biscuit this time around because it already provides it!

Ganache Caramel: A thin, soft layer of sweet milk chocolate surrounds a moderately sweet biscuit and a tiny layer of semi-hard caramel filling. Overall, it’s pretty sweet and crunchy, and the shell is soft—great complexity of textures, and it feels premium compared to just plain biscuits dipped in chocolate.

Perle Noire: Fairly dark, sweet, premium-tasting chocolate with an inner, equally dark chocolate ganache. It’s not bitter, which I like; the sweetness keeps it in check. Also, the thin biscuit on the bottom is also very nice and provides it some balance from the ganache. If anything, I wish the ganache was thicker, as it feels on the thinner side.

Ganache Noisette: Right off the bat, there’s a clear and bold hazelnut flavor. Really, it reminds me a lot of Nutella, but it’s even better as it has a tasty and semi-crunchy biscuit too! It’s composed of a thin layer of smooth chocolate over a semi-hard, semi-crunchy biscuit. It’s pretty darn sweet overall, especially considering the shell is so thin.

Mignardise Café Noir: Double biscuit with a soft, creamy, decently sweet white chocolate taste in the center. Unfortunately, I didn’t taste much of a coffee flavor; perhaps it was overwhelmed by the white chocolate? I also did notice it’s the least sweet of the bunch, but still, at the very least, it’s sweet enough.

Perle Blanche: The cream is pretty thin, kind of like a thin, semi-hard, and soft ganache. It tastes like a sweet, creamy white chocolate with a thin, complementary biscuit at the bottom. There’s a light coffee-cocoa-like taste from the outside that complements the white chocolate, which is weird because the box doesn’t advertise this as having any coffee flavor!

I can’t find an exact release date, although reviews date back to around May 2021. There is also evidence that this comes out during certain periods; for example, it was later announced it would be back April 23, 2025. Found at Aldi, May 2025.

Bake House Creations Cookie Dough Core Fudge

Score: 8.25 / 10

When you open the cup, a giant dough ball awaits you. It’s very smooth and soft when spooning in, revealing a dark, fudgy inner core. Both the taste and texture are perfect cookie dough; you can taste the sweetness and chocolate chips, feel the sugar crystals, and appreciate the nuances that make up a good dough. The inside core is small, albeit it’s pretty darn tasty. It’s essentially a thick, dark ganache with an equally sweet dark chocolate flavor. None of it gives artificial or fake vibes. All in all, these remind me of a cookie dough version of Ben & Jerry’s Core Pints!

While I’m not sure of an exact release date, reviews and mentions date to around April 2025. There is also a caramel version. Found at Aldi May 2025.

Southern Grove Springtime and Honey Bunny Limited Edition Easter Trail Mix

Scores:
Honey Bunny: 6 / 10
Springtime: 6.25 / 10

Honey Bunny: I’m not sure why it’s called Honey Bunny; it should instead be called creamy or white chocolate bunny. Most of the texture and flavor comes from the semi-sweet white chocolate bits and white chocolate-covered raisins, with crunch coming from the tiny plain graham crackers. Interestingly, the few peanut bits, I feel, do detract from the experience–something about plain crunchy peanuts doesn’t mix with these. At times, it can overpower the more pleasurable white chocolate, and I say that as a peanut lover!

Springtime: Instead of a creamy white chocolate vibe, these sport a more creamy and soft peanut butter instead of a crunchier one from all the soft peanut butter candies. Granted, there are still some crunchy bits, and the few pieces of cereal bites add a light wafer crunch occasionally. This bag is also a little sweeter than its counterpart. Overall, I like these better, purely because the peanut is softer and the entire bag is a tad sweeter.

Both were released on April 2, 2025, for the Easter and spring season. Found at Aldi May 2025

SuckerPunch Three Pepper Spears

Score: 5.75 / 10

Surprisingly seasoned! It has a mix of peppers that gives it a pleasantly spicy and well-seasoned kick, and it has notes of garlic and other seasonings in the background. There’s also a smidge of sweetness that brings down any traditional pickle punchiness. They’re probably the best pickles I’ve had, and frankly, if you’re a pickle person, you’ll definitely love these! However, if you really can’t handle any level of spiciness, you may want to think twice.

I’m unsure of an exact release date. Found at Aldi April 2025.

Baker’s Corner Snickerdoodle Blondie Mix

Score: 6.5 / 10

Instead of butter, I used applesauce, which made it fluffy. If you use butter, it will be a denser, bar-like cake. The baking time is about accurate.

The flour smells sweet and cinnamony. After baking and biting in, it’s soft, thick, chewy, and reasonably tasty. It absolutely reminds me of a coffee cake, albeit the flavors don’t seem as nuanced here. Simply put, this is a dense cinnamon and sugar cake with moderate sweetness. It pairs well with vanilla and frostings that have cinnamon, like Cinnamon Toast Crunch. Notably, if you use butter, I have no doubt it’ll be extra thick and more bar-like.

While I’m unsure of an exact release date, reviews date back to around April 2025. Found at Aldi April 2025.

Simply Nature Jalapeno Cranberry Kettle Chips

Score: 6.25 / 10

Opening these up, there’s a unique, sweet kick of light jalapeño. The taste is just that, too: a light, fruity cranberry taste alongside the smallest jalapeño spice. Together, it’s surprisingly pleasant and, notably, not at all offensive, especially if you’re not into spicy chips. The fruity side is also very good and doesn’t come across as weird or out of place. These are perhaps one of the more unique chips I’ve ever had, and I’m glad I tried them!

While I can’t find an exact release date, reviews and mentions of this product date back to around February 2025. Found at Aldi March 2025.

Friendly Farms Irish Creme Whipped Cream

Score: 6 / 10

The first thing I notice is that this comes across as sweeter than your plain ol’ whipped cream. Of course, as advertised, it has an appreciable Irish creme flavor as well. This flavoring is light, not at all bitter, and very pleasant in its super creamy whipped cream form. Unfortunately, it’s a unique flavor, so I don’t see it being used with many commonly baked goods or ice creams.

Found at Aldi March 2025.

Aldi Journey to Greece Rosemary & Feta and Tzatziki Chips

Scores
Rosemary: 6.5 / 10
Tzatziki: 7 / 10

Rosemary: First off, these are super crunchy and solid; they genuinely feel premium and put other kettle chips to shame. The flavor is very creamy, with a very light rosemary and feta flavor that seems to stick around and build up in your mouth over time (not a bad thing; the flavor just gets a little stronger!). Honestly, I did expect more seasoning and flavor out of these overall, but they’re still pretty good.

Tzatziki: Like the Rosemary chips, these are equally thick and crunchy. However, the flavor is more pronounced with these. It’s definitely tzatziki, and all the seasonings accompanying it shine right through. It’s not overly strong; it’s simply noticeable and definitely appreciable, and also very tasty, especially if you’re into Greek seasoning!

Both of these have been around, on and off, for a few years now. Exclusive to Aldi. Found March 2025.

Cafe Valley Classic Red Velvet Bites

Score: 8 / 10

Moist, thick, and it has a bold red velvet flavor. Despite being moist, they can be somewhat crumbly. There are sugar crystals that add a light crunch. The few embedded chocolate chips complement the soft texture of the cake and also add a hint of chocolate. There needs to be improvement with the cream cheese: it’s stiff and flavorless, although at least it adds some creaminess.

Released in 2017. Found at Aldi January 2025.

Cafe Valley Cinnamon Cream Cheese Coffeecake

Score: 6.5 / 10

These are your regular ol’ coffee cakes, albeit more tamed down. They’re semi-moist, a bit crumbly, and have a decently sweet taste. If anything, it needs a bit more cinnamon and sugar to fully match a good coffee cake. Also, unfortunately, the small dollop of thick, stiff cream cheese is completely flavorless, though it adds a touch of creaminess.

I’m unsure of an exact release date, although reviews date back to as early as 2017. Found at Aldi January 2025.

Baker’s Treat Gingerbread Mini Muffins

Score: 5.5 / 10

Compared to Little Bites, these are a little less thick and a tad more dry. The flavor isn’t as strong either; these have a light, semi-sweet, artificial ginger-like taste. Personally, I wish they were less dry and crumbly, and the flavor really needs to lose the artificialness and be stronger.

Released December 2024. Found at Aldi December 2024.

Appetitos Cranberry & Feta Mini Puff Pastry

Score: 6 / 10

Half of these had zero jam, and you couldn’t even taste any jam from the ones that did have some. The feta cheese completely overwhelms everything! And this feta cheese—it’s very fluffy and soft, and the flavor is just right; however, it is just too much—I personally had to take some off! Other than that, the dough is soft, and overall, these aren’t terrible; they just need some minor improvements.

Not sure when this was released, although they seem to come around every year in November. Found at Aldi December 2024.

Friendly Farms Red Velvet Whipped Cream

Score: 7 / 10

Decently sweet with a creamy, red velvety taste. Nothing is overpowering; it’s creamy and enjoyable. Honestly, this whipped cream would work for almost anything, as it’s unoffending and quite tasty! Exactly as advertised!

Not sure when this was released. Found October 2024.

Deutsche Kuche Hazelnut Biscuits

Score: 7.5 / 10

It seems like a copycat of Nutella Biscuits, but unfortunately, it is not as good. The cookie part of these is more hard and thick, and the hazelnut is a lot less sweet. Still, they’re pretty good on their own. The hazelnut isn’t too sweet, and the plain biscuit is decent enough, adding a crunchy texture to complement the soft hazelnut middle.

Likely released sometime around 2023 or 2024 for the fall season. Found at Aldi October 2024.

Aldi Chocolate Chip Frosted Cookie Dough Cookies

Score: 8 / 10

Slightly thinner than your average boxed sugar cookies from companies like Lofthouse. They’re also slightly less sweet, less dry, and softer. That may be because of the supposed cookie dough flavor (and texture?) they’re aiming for. Indeed, it’s a mix of chocolate chip cookie flavor and cookie dough. Combined with the sweet frosting, they’re pretty sweet overall but not overly so.

Not sure when these were released. Found at Aldi August 2024.

Schogetten Crunchy Peanut Butter

Score: 7.5 / 10

So light and creamy! Compared to Reese’s, for example, it’s nowhere near as sweet or artificial. Neither is it nearly as strong as a plain jar of peanut butter. It’s simply a milk chocolate bar with a creamy, light peanut butter-tasting filling.

While there doesn’t seem to be an official release date, reviews suggest it may have been released some time in 2023. Found at Aldi July 2024.

Winternacht Soft Gingerbread Wafer Cookies

Score: 7 / 10

Package of Winternacht Soft Gingerbread Wafer Cookies.

Such an interesting texture! It’s like a soft, almost crumbly, chewy cake cookie-like thing with a super thin, lightly crunchy chocolate and sugar shell. It kind of has everything in terms of texture. Overall, the cookies have a moderately sweet gingerbread flavor.

I’m unsure of a release date. Found November 2023.

Package of Winternacht Soft Gingerbread Wafer Cookies.

Winternacht Marzipan Stollen Bites

Score: 7 / 10

Front package of Winternacht Marzipan Stollen Bites.

It is dry on the outside and has a slightly moist center with embedded raisins throughout. It’s a little sweeter than semi-sweet and tastes kind of like a soft, powdery soft biscuit with a moist, raisiny inside. There does seem to be another flavor there. Is it marzipan? I’m not sure, but it seems close enough.

I’m unsure of a release date. Found November 2023.

Winternacht Chocolate Dominos

Score: 8 / 10

Front package of Winternacht Chocolate Dominos; Gingerbread Cookies with filling.

These are so soft, and the flavor is such an interesting combination! There are three different layers as advertised, and they all come together nicely. You can taste the persipan, jelly, and ginger all equally. Overall, it’s a decently sweet, gingery, fruity candy with a smooth persipan flavor.

I’m unsure of a release date. Found November 2023.

Winternacht Edelmarzipan Baumstamm Milk Chocolate Marzipan Nougat Log

Score: 8 / 10

Front package of Winternacht Edelmarzipan Baumstamm Milk Chocolate Marzipan Nougat Log.

A thin chocolate shell wraps a fairly sweet, soft-solid marzipan filling. The whole candy bar is almost a little too sweet, especially compared to other marzipan, but this is still very tasty.

I’m unsure of a release date. Found November 2023.

Schogetten Alpine Milk Chocolate Bar

Score: 6.5 / 10

Front package of Schogetten Alpine Milk Chocolate bar.

A bit like Hershey’s Symphony but with a slightly different flavor. Slightly sweeter than semi-sweet, it’s also semi-creamy. There is nothing too unique or different about this chocolate bar; it is pretty standard.

The company has been around since 1962. Not sure when this bar was released, although it’s likely been around for a while. Found at Ocean State Job Lot and Aldi September 2023.
