A review and flavor tier list of various Kit Kat (or KitKat) flavors, including new and limited-edition flavors.
Truth be told, I haven’t had a really bad Kit Kat, which is why this ranking doesn’t have the F rating.

Gingerbread Cookie

Review
So good! I love the sweet, non-bitter, creamy ginger flavor! It definitely reminds me of a gingerbread cookie with a lot of icing.
Release Date
Released in fall 2021 for Christmas. Limited edition. These can sometimes be found around the Christmas holidays in future years as well.
Witch’s Brew

Review
I always look forward to these KitKats every holiday! They’re sweeter than the regular Kit Kat, and instead of being wrapped in chocolate, they have a green-vanilla marshmallow cream coating. This marshmallow doesn’t taste exactly like marshmallow, but it’s close enough. Combined with the wafer center, these almost have s’mores vibes.
Release Date
Released in fall 2020 for the Halloween season alongside Franken-Cups and Vampire Kisses. These have come back every year since.
Orange Colored Halloween

Review
These are supposed to be vanilla Kit Kats, but we all know the orange coloring makes it taste so much better and sweeter; at least, that’s what I remember tasting.
Release Date
Released around 2012. Discontinued in 2021 and replaced by Breaking Bones in 2022.
A Tier
Chocolate (Original)

Review
A classic for a reason. They’re fairly sweet, and sport a milky chocolate combined with a perfect wafer crunch. Everything about it appears balanced, from the taste to the texture.
Release Date
Originally released in 1935.
Breaking Bones

Review
A dressed-up vanilla Kit Kat package. They’re notably creamy, reasonably sweet, vanilla-boasting KitKats. They’re roughly the same sweetness level as their chocolate cousins, but with a smooth, creamy, non-artificial sugary vanilla flavor. Combined with the light wafer crunchiness, it makes for a good and pleasant combination.
Release Date
Released in 2022, replacing the orange-colored Halloween KitKats. Found in early October 2026 at Walmart.
Vanilla

Review
They don’t feel quite as sweet as regular chocolate KitKats, but it’s very close. Flavor-wise, it’s a crispy, creamy traditional white chocolate. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s almost kind of boring. Still, it’s not terrible; I just expected more for some reason.
Release Date
Released September 2024. Found at Walmart.

Fruity Cereal

Review
Fruity Pebbles in a crunchy KitKat form… and that’s the review!
Release Date
Released in June 2021 for a limited time.
Pink Lemonade

Review
This is definitely not pink lemonade; it’s not even close! It’s not punchy or lemony in any sense; instead, it’s even better! What I got was mostly strawberry, with a touch of another berry flavor. Overall, it’s fairly sweet.
Release Date
Released May 2024 for a limited time. Found at Walmart.
Key Lime Pie

Review
A reasonably sweet, limey KitKat. Unlike lime, though, these don’t pack quite a punch and are a lot more mouth-friendly.
Release Date
Released in April 2021 for a limited time.
Duos Mint and Dark Chocolate

Review
That is a really strong mint smell! If you compare this to a York, it’s similar but has just a tiny bit less minty taste. Basically, it’s still a punchy mint and would definitely be appreciated by mint chocolate lovers. The sweet dark chocolate KitKat flavor pairs nicely with it.
Release Date
Released in December 2019, it is one of the first Duos flavors released.
Ghost Toast

Review
The overall taste is much like their vanilla Kit Kats, except that some of the raw vanilla is replaced with an equal part of cinnamon. What you get is their white chocolate KitKat, but with a little less vanilla, traded for some smooth and creamy cinnamon.
Overall, the Kit Kat is creamy, and the cinnamon is pleasant, though, in my opinion, some added sweetness and cinnamon could have made it even better than it already is. Overall, it’s about the same sweetness as its vanilla and chocolate brothers.
Release Date
Released in late August 2024 for the Halloween season. Found at Walmart.
Blueberry Muffin

Review
The taste resembles Japanese KitKats: lightly sweet, not too artificial, and a very pleasant eating experience. The blueberry wasn’t overpowering, and it tasted great with the crunchy specks throughout it!
Release Date
Released early in April 2022, limited edition. Found at Walmart.
Raspberry Creme

Review
Without being too sweet or overwhelming, there’s a nice, creamy, pretty sweet wafer raspberry flavor. I especially love how it isn’t too artificial or has any weird aftertastes.
Release Date
Released for Valentine’s season 2020.
Limited Edition Churro

Review
Tasty, lightly sweet, nice combo of cinnamon and sugar. The sweetness and flavors are not overpowering, and overall, they are quite similar to a crunchy churro.
Release Date
Officially released June 6th, 2023, although I found these on June 3 and noticed reviews dating to the first day or two of June. Found at Walmart.

Peppermint Stick

Review
These are indeed shaped and taste like peppermint sticks! They sport a creamy white shell with little colorfully embedded pieces that seem to add a tiny bit of additional crunchiness to the already crunchy KitKat bar.
The KitKat as a whole tastes like a reasonably strong white chocolate-based or even vanilla peppermint. It’s fairly sweet and notably doesn’t punch you too hard with the peppermint. However, I would advise that if you are sensitive to these flavors, this might not be for you either.
Overall, a tasty, creamy take on peppermint that normally comes in chocolate — I approve!
Release Date
Released October/November 2025. Found at Walmart in early November 2025.
Chocolate Frosted Donut

Review
Milk chocolate and… something. I’m not sure if it’s a glaze or doughy taste, but it is sweet and makes the KitKat taste a smidge sweeter and less chocolatey than the original. These aren’t bad, but I’m going to stick with the OGs for now.
Release Date
Released November 2023. Found at Walmart.
D Tier
Pumpkin Pie

Review
First KitKat flavor I don’t really like! 99% pumpkin spice, 1% sugar. Bitter as heck, to say the least!
Release Date
Released in 2017 around fall for a limited time. These occasionally get discontinued and rereleased.
