Strawberry Marshmallow Shortcake Kabobs

Yield: Several Kabobs

Ingredients

  • yellow or vanilla boxes cake with needed ingredients
  • bag of medium sized marshmallows
  • 1 lb of strawberries
  • white chocolate bar or chips
  • many skewers or toothpicks of medium-large size

Utensils

  • baking cake pan (preferably 13×9 inch or similar)
  • microwaveable bowl
  • baking spray / oil
  • serving or storage dish

Let’s Make It!

  1. Bake the boxed cake.
  2. After cake cools completely, cut into small squares of around 1-2 inches each (about the size of your marshmallow).
  3. Slice the strawberries into semi-thick slices. If the marshmallows are very large, slice them into medium sized ones.
  4. Take a slice of strawberry, cake, and a marshmallow, and skewer them. Order does not matter. If you’re using a larger skewer, you may be able to add additional layers.
  5. Layer the kabobs onto a plate, serving dish, or container where you will be storing them.
  6. Slowly melt the white chocolate chips or bar in a microwaveable bowl. Add a small amount of liquid (water, milk, or oil) as needed to get it to a thick syrup (you may not even need to add anything).
  7. Drizzle the white chocolate onto the finished kabobs.
  8. Store at room temperature or fridge for up to a few days.
