S’mores Dip

Updated:

Yield: Tray of S’mores Dip

Ingredients

  • Any flavor meltable chocolate candy (chocolate bars or chips, Reese’s, KitKats, etc.)
  • Graham crackers
  • Bag of any size marshmallows

Utensils

  • Any size bakeable dish, pan, or skillet (I used 9×9 in. baking pan)
  • Baking spray or oil

Let’s Make It!

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F.
Empty pan next to sealed Honey Maid Graham Crackers, Hershey's and Reese's Chocolate, and PAM baking spray.
Some things I used. Who said you couldn’t make Reese’s smores?! Feel free to use whatever meltable chocolate you have!
  1. If using skillet, preheat in oven for 5 minutes then continue. In your choice of baking dish, coat the bottom with oil or spray.
  2. (optional) Apply a thin layer of crushed graham cracker to the bottom of the pan.
  3. Line the bottom of the dish evenly with the chocolate candies, around the thickness of two-four chocolate bars will suffice, then top evenly with the marshmallows.
  1. Place in oven for 5-7 minutes or until marshmallows are a golden brown.
  1. Feel free to dig in while they’re hot, just be careful!
  2. Store leftovers on countertop or fridge. Rebake around 300°F for a few minutes or microwave before serving.

Notes & Alternatives

  • Layering the bottom with crushed graham crackers helps prevent the chocolate from burning but is optional.
  • Be careful not to use too many layers of chocolate or else not all of it may melt fully!
  • Instead of layering the bottom of the pan graham cracker crumbles, you can instead use the full graham crackers and turn this dip into an already premade nacho smores dish!
  • Any meltable chocolate will work! Feel free to experiment with various flavors and different kinds of candies.
  • No campfire needed!

History

  • S’mores was popularized by the scouts in the 1920s.
