Reviewing Rockin’ Nut Road Snickers, French Fry & Ketchup Pringles, and More

Updated:

This snack review has Schogetten Alpine Milk Chocolate Bar, Paqui Haunted Ghost Pepper Spicy Chips, Snickers Rockin’ Nut Road Candy Bar, French Fries & Ketchup Pringles, and Patti’s Sweet Potato Thumbprint Cookies. My favorite out of the bunch was the rocky road flavored snickers due to how it tasted exactly like rocky rock. None of these snacks were bad and overall, they all tasted pretty good!

Schogetten Alpine Milk Chocolate Bar

Score: 6.5 / 10

Front package of Schogetten Alpine Milk Chocolate bar.

A bit like Hershey’s symphony but a slightly different flavor. Slightly sweeter than semi-sweet, it’s also semi-creamy. Nothing too unique or different about this chocolate bar, pretty standard.

The company has been around since 1962. Not sure when this bar was released although it’s likely been around for a while. Found at Ocean State Job Lot and Aldi.

Paqui Haunted Ghost Pepper Spicy Chips

Score: 2 / 10

Front package of Paqui Haunted Ghost Pepper Spicy Chips.

All spice, nothing else. As someone who has a decent tolerance to spicy foods, these do hit nicely but they aren’t too spicy or linger for too long either. The issue though is that it’s just spicy, there’s real flavor or seasonings. The texture is between a Pringle and Doritos, it just feels a bit odd.

The company has been around since 2008 and is known for the the “One Chip Challenge” (not this product specifically). I’m not sure when they released these although reviews date back several years.

Snickers Rockin’ Nut Road Candy Bar

Score: 7.5 / 10

Front package of Snickers Rockin' Nut Road candy bar.

Slightly softer texture compared to a regular Snickers due to layer of thick marshmallow but still nearly the same. To note, this marshmallow isn’t stretchy or gooey, it’s just a thick white layer that’s easy to bite through. It nails the rocky road flavor perfectly as the marshmallow, nuts, chocolate, and caramel come together really well without any overwhelming the other. Comes with four separate large squares in this package. If you like Snickers, you’ll likely enjoy this, although the taste experience is a bit different. Definitely get this if you like rocky road.

This was originally discontinued in 2017 with reviews dating back to 2014. Later brought back in February 2023. Found at CVS.

Patti’s Sweet Potato Thumbprint Cookies

Score: 7 / 10

Package of Patti's Sweet Potato Thumbprint Cookies.

The cookie itself has a texture that isn’t crumbly and instead is soft and easy to bite through. It has a mostly non-artificial semi-sweet sweet potato flavor. The dollop of frosting on top is slightly sweet with a creamy, light cinnamon taste. Overall, both of these flavors come together nicely, making it pleasant and tasty.

Released mid August 2023, exclusive to Walmart.

Pringles, French Fries & Ketchup Flavored

Score: 6 / 10

Front can of French Fries & Ketchup Pringles.

With the same texture as regular pringles, these have a dash of reddish coating. They have a noticable ketchup and vinegar taste that isn’t overpowering but it’s still clearly noticable. The french fry flavor isn’t there although, if you add a bit of vinegar to your french fries, that may explain the vinegar flavor.

Released some time around September / October 2022. It doesn’t say exclusive to Walmart on the package like the closely released Philly Cheesesteak Pringles but I’ve only seen it at Walmart.
