Pringles Sweet Chili Sauce
Score: 6 / 10
I guess this is sort of what sweet chili sauce tastes like? These pringles resemble the sauce but don’t exactly strike the target. There is a small spicy kick and a hint of sweetness, along with a mix of different spices I can’t quite make out. Together, I find it reasonably tasty, however, these chips are not exactly my thing.
Released June 2024 for a limited time.
7-Eleven Select Big Bite Hot Dog Flavored Potato Chips
Score: 7 / 10
So well-seasoned! You can smell and taste all the condiments that go on a hot dog, especially the relish and vinegar, without being too punchy! It’s meaty and full of flavor and perhaps one of the most seasoned and tasty chips I’ve had!
Released in late October 2024.
Lofthouse Red Velvet Cream Cheese Cookies
Score: 6.5 / 10
Bitterly sweet, literally! They used way too much sugar in these, overpowering most of the red velvet and cream cheese flavor. The frosting is pretty thick, coming in slightly stiff but melt-in-your-mouth soft. Further, the cookie itself is quite dry! Lofthouse, please tame the sugar!
Released in November 2021, these may come back every year in November as well. Found at Aldi.
Aldi Bake Shop Gingerbread Frosted Sugar Cookies
Score: 6.5 / 10
A thin layer of sugary frosting sits atop a very sweet, gingery cookie. The cookie itself is a little dry. At the very least, unlike Lofthouse cookies, you can taste the flavor despite them being so sweet.
Not sure of an exact release date, although these were spotted in December 2024. Found at Aldi.
Baker’s Treat Gingerbread Mini Muffins
Score: 5.5 / 10
Compared to Little Bites, these are a little less thick and a tad more dry. The flavor isn’t as strong either; these have a light, semi-sweet, artificial ginger-like taste. Personally, I wish they were less dry and crumbly, and the flavor really needs to lose the artificialness and be stronger.
Released December 2024. Found at Aldi.
Benton’s Wafer Assortment
Score: 7.5 / 10
These remind me of those cheap wafers you find at most stores, except these are more premium, thick, and less airy. The ones with chocolate add a nice, subtle dark chocolate flavor to the already semi-sweet wafers. More or less, the flavor and texture of most of these are extremely similar, yet all enjoyable in their own way.
I am not sure when this was first released, although it started to appear around November 2024. Found at Aldi.
Red Velvet Flavored Melt’ems
Score: 5.5 / 10
Lightly sweet with a light red velvet taste. They’re also very creamy. However, I don’t feel like this would be good on much as the taste and sweetness are fairly light.
May have been first released around April 2024. Found at Walmart.
Queen Anne Dark Chocolate With Coconut Cordial Cherries
Score: 7 / 10
An actual gooey, soft candy cherry surrounded by creamy, thick white filling. It’s very sweet and has mostly a sugary taste with a moderate coconut flavor. Together, the flavors complement each other, and not to mention, the texture is so good! I love biting into the semi-hard dark chocolate shell into a super thick center!
Not sure of an exact release date. Found at Walmart.
Reese’s Fast Break
Score: 9 / 10
Better than regular Reese’s! There’s a little less peanut butter flavor, replaced by a semi-sweet chocolate nougat, which pairs well with the light peanut butter taste. Overall, it’s less sweet, but the texture is so much better! It’s super soft and feels like a ganache, and the different layers of texture make for a great eating experience!
Released in 2001.
Favorite Day Gingerbread Pals Decorating Cookie Kit
Score: 5 / 10
Two small, thin tubes of red and green frosting and a few pieces of hard candy. The frostings are very runny and taste like unsweetened dye. The gingerbread men themselves have a hard white frosting already applied; they’re hard and have a light gingerbread flavor. Overall, these are not good and feel cheap.
Not sure of a release date, although around November 2024 seems reasonable. Found at Target.
