This snack review has Vincinni Tiramisu Sponge Cake, Dunkin’ Donuts Spider Donut, Papa John’s Oreo & Twix Bites, and IHOP Pumpkin Pancakes.
This was a good snack (and food) haul! Out of all of these, despite not being a fan of Papa John’s, their Bites were absolutely amazing. And speaking of fast food, Dunkin’ Donuts Spider Donuts are always a hit, who doesn’t love a free munchkin? Though, the standout of disappointment was the IHop Pumpkin Pancakes. Why did I even get those when the regular ones are so much better?!
Vincinni Tiramisu Sponge Cake
Score: 7 / 10
A cheap bagged cake, hmm… To start, the bright picture on front doesn’t do it justice, it definitely looks a lot more dark when you open it up. This cake has a thick layer of cocoa powder on top and several layers of sponge cake, cream, and chocolate. Perhaps due to preservation, overall, it’s very dry and stiff, heck, even the cream tastes “dry.” Nowhere near the moisture of a sponge cake or tiramisu, though, the flavor is definitely tiramisu as it does have a semi-sweet bitterish coffee and chocolate flavor with the cream and the cake. Despite being so dry, it honestly wasn’t that bad!

Dunkin’ Donuts Spider Donut
Score: 7.5 / 10
What a deal! A free munchkin? If I order a dozen donuts, I get a dozen free munchkins! Anyway, these donuts are standard: a regular tasting, sweet Dunkin’ donut with no real discernable flavor other than being sweet.
Released fall 2017 for the Halloween season. These have come back every year since. Due to popularity, various Spider Donut items have been released such as inflatables, keychains, and more.
Papa John’s Oreo Bites
Score: 8 / 10
So sweet and that’s what most of the flavor is, sweet! There’s a decent amount of Oreo bits but it could use a lot more. The glaze and dip give it most of that sugary sweet flavor. I especially love the dough and how soft it is on the inside and the light crunchy outside.

Papa John’s Twix Bites
Score: 9 / 10
Twix on doughy steroids! Each Bite is full of crumbled Twix and doused in caramel. It’s so sweet and all the flavors of Twix come out wonderfully. The dough is warm, has a soft inside, and a slight crunchier crust, it’s perfect.
Released October 16, 2023. This joins alongside their Oreo Bites.
IHOP Pumpkin Pancakes
Score: 5.5 / 10
There isn’t much of a difference between these and their regular pancakes as there’s only just a hint of pumpkin. It’s genuinely very disappointing and not worthy of being a special. Even the texture was thin and lackluster. Just get their normal pancakes or better yet, any one of their other specials.
Released around fall 2008 and has returned every year since.
