Whole Foods 365 Yuzu Vanilla Sandwich Cremes

Score: 7.5 / 10

So first off, I love how thick these are; they resemble a double- or even triple-stuffed Oreo! I also really like how sweet and creamy it is, not to mention the refreshingly unique taste. While I don’t know if it’s yuzu—whatever it is, either way, it’s both refreshing and sweet at the same time. Lastly, the cookie part itself is lightly sweet and crunchy, all the while also letting the cream filling shine through!

Overall, a great summer and unique addition to the Whole Foods cookie lineup. I think most people will end up enjoying these!

Likely released in June 2025.

Mounds Coconut Creme Pie

Score: 8.25 / 10

This is like an ice cream Mounds cake. A dry chocolate crust encases this ultra creamy, thick, almost ice cream-like coconut mixture as well as a layer of sweet dark chocolate that sits right on top of that. Then, for the final topmost layer, soft whipped cream and chocolate and coconut pieces. It genuinely feels like a Mounds in pie form, albeit a bit less sweet overall.

It all comes across as pretty sweet but not overly so and not quite as much as the candy bar form itself. It feels much richer and smoother. For me, though, what stands out the most is the composition. There are so many interesting textures layered on top of one another, making this a wonderful eating experience and a great dessert pie!

My biggest complaint is the sweetness, more specifically, the coconut part. While it’s extraordinarily creamy, it feels like it sacrificed a lot of its sweetness and thus lost some of its strongly associated coconut flavor that you get in its candy form.

Released around October 2024 alongside other Hershey candy-based pies. Found at Stop & Shop.

Flipz State Fair Fried Chocolatey Sandwich Cookie Flavored Covered Pretzels

Score: 6.75 / 10

Surprisingly accurate to its advertised flavors: A very light chocolate accompanies a noticeable fried dough taste. With the salty pretzel, it all kind of works well together, although in my opinion, the chocolate is a bit too mild for my liking. Compared to other covered pretzels, I would say the creamy, moderately sweet fried chocolate sandwich cookie flavor is stronger than the pretzel inside.

Speaking of this cream covering, there’s a decent amount of it; regardless, you’ll still get mostly the crunchy pretzel side when it comes to chowing down on them. It at least does present some creaminess and smoothness, which is nice.

Overall, the texture is your typical covered pretzel; however, the unique taste is a standout.

Released April 2025. Found at Stop & Shop.

Mother’s Mighty Dynamite Dinosaurs Frosted Chocolatey Cookies (Jurassic World)

Score: 7 / 10

*You can find my review of the vanilla-based ones here.

They don’t feel cheap, but they don’t feel premium either. A thin, softish, and smooth cream surrounds a thin, airy, and lightly crunchy semi-dark chocolate cookie. The overall composition of these cookies mimics that of a Keebler cookie if you’ve ever had those.

The taste isn’t bad. It’s not strong or crazy; it’s simply a moderately sweet cookie with dark chocolate undertones.

Overall, it’s pleasant and inoffensive, yet those who love super sweet things may be more than happy chomping away at these. For some reason, these are just satisfying and addicting to eat. Is it because of how light they feel and how the flavor isn’t overpowering? Maybe.

Released January 8, 2025. Found at Target.

Skippy P.B. Bites Girl Scouts: Coconut Caramel, Chocolate Peanut Butter, and Adventurefuls

Scores
Chocolate Peanut Butter: 6.75 / 10
Coconut Caramel: 7.25 / 10
Adventurefuls: 7.5 / 10

*You can find a previous review of Coconut Caramel here.

Chocolate Peanut Butter: Nothing stands out too much about this. Essentially, a moderately sweet-tasting Skippy peanut butter ball paired with a sweet milk chocolate. Together they form a lightly crunchy treat. Does it resemble a Girl Scout cookie? In a way, probably, although I honestly haven’t tried their peanut cookie, but I still imagine it’s pretty close.

And yeah, that’s it. It’s a good, solid, and crunchy peanutty snack, but nothing really to write home about. If anything, I’d prefer a soft texture over the crunchy one here, as I feel it brings down the experience—I say this as a peanut lover too!

Coconut Caramel: There is an equal mix of flavors: caramel, peanut, and coconut. They’re all equally light, and at the same time, the snack as a whole is moderately sweet. And as someone who has had their caramel coconut cookies, I do feel like this is a lot like them, except with the addition of some peanut butter. It’s lightly crunchy and more or less accurate to the flavors and sweetness of its cookie counterpart—and with a touch of tasty Skippy peanut butter!

Adventurefuls: My favorite of the three! It rocks a noticeable peanut taste with a backdrop of caramel and a tasty brownie-like chocolate flavor. It feels like the Chocolate Peanut Butter and Coconut Caramel had a kid! But, unlike the Peanut Butter Chocolate, the chocolate and peanut here are much stronger and more pronounced, and at the same time, it takes the light caramel from the Coconut Caramel Bites and lovingly throws it in. Basically, the best of both worlds combined!

Released September 2023. Found at Target.

Muddy Buddy Bites Girl Scouts Coconut Caramel Waffle Cone Snacks

Score: 6.75 / 10

This filling is mildly sweet with a mild coconut and caramel flavor. You can really taste both flavors despite them both being on the milder side. I wouldn’t say these are nearly as sweet or strongly flavored as their Girl Scout cookie counterparts, however, although the texture is somewhat similar: a light crunch with a softer part, the soft-solid inside.

My biggest issue with these is the amount of filling. Honestly, these are hardly filled, with several being hardly a third full! What you end up getting is mostly the plain-tasting wafer—yeah, even the wafer doesn’t seem to have a waffle taste. So overall, these not only need more filling but also more sweetness to boost up that flavor; then, they’d be much, much better!

Initially released at Whole Foods in May 2025.

CakeBites M&M’s Minis Vanilla Cakes

Score: 8.25 / 10

Thick, fairly sweet cake surrounded by equally sweet milk chocolate. Then on top of this shell, embedded, lightly crunchy tiny M&Ms. The flavor doesn’t feel too fake or artificial. Overall, it’s tasty, sweet, and moderately chocolatey.

Then, here comes the texture. It’s especially thick, soft, and has a good mouthfeel. It doesn’t feel like many of the thin cakes you find in store-bought treats or packaged baked goods. It’s like they pressed a whole piece of cake together! With the soft chocolate shell and M&Ms, it’s a great experience and genuinely feels a tier above.

While I’m unsure of an exact release date, reviews date back to around March 2024. Found at Five Below.

Sour Patch Kids Redberry Sour Coated Marshmallows

Score: 5.75 / 10

Peeps? Not exactly, but nearly identical, albeit maybe just a tad less thick. They’re soft, large, and chewy, and most of all, have a fairly sweet artificial fruity taste. Like Peeps, I like the sugary coating on the outside of these marshmallows, which gives them a contrasting gritty texture to the inner marshmallow. Lastly, I’m not sure if it’s Sour Patch Kids precisely, but I do know it’s not sour—it’s definitely on the sweeter side.

Likely released around February 2019 alongside other flavors. Found at Five Below.
