Walmart Marketside Strawberry Shortcake Brownies
Score: 7.5 / 10

The texture of these is phenomenal and complex! It’s soft, fairly dense, and so easy to bite through. The graham cracker crust and shortcake are crumbly, especially the strawberry top, but then you have a complementary, contrary, thick caramel goo center that holds both together–it’s great! This caramel is moderately sweet, not as sweet as a candy-based caramel; it’s much more tame and doesn’t taste artificial or feel fake. The strawberry top is also lightly sweet and provides an authentic strawberry taste. Overall, these so-called brownies are moderately sweet, have a shortcake and light caramel flavor, and the texture is so, so darn interestingly wonderful!
While I’m unsure of an exact release date, reviews date back to early 2025.

Aldi Bake Shop Carrot Cake Sandwich Cookies
Score: 7.25 / 10

Incredibly soft, too much, even. The inside cream is like an airy and thin pillow, which, while nice, does feel a bit cheap as it lacks density. It’s also not too sweet or flavorful; it kind of just has a slight creamy cream cheese hint. Most of the flavor comes from the moderately sweet carrot cake cookie itself, which tastes authentic and homemade; however, they are on the crumbly side and fall apart. What I find most interesting is that you can absolutely taste the carrot, and the texture feels homemade!
Released March 2024 for the Easter and spring season.
Clancy’s Mexican Style Street Corn Flavored Kettle Chips
Score: 6.25 / 10

This is weird; they actually mimic street corn really well—too much, one may argue. It actually tastes like you’re eating corn in chip form, and you can absolutely taste the creamy sauce that often gets thrown on it. Additionally, there’s a noticeable kick to it that will please most people, but if you’re weak to spiciness, stay away. Overall, it’s well seasoned and tastes like the real deal!
Released around September 2023. Found at Aldi.
Southern Grove Springtime and Honey Bunny Limited Edition Easter Trail Mix
Scores:
Honey Bunny: 6 / 10
Springtime: 6.25 / 10

Honey Bunny: I’m not sure why it’s called Honey Bunny; it should instead be called creamy or white chocolate bunny. Most of the texture and flavor comes from the semi-sweet white chocolate bits and white chocolate-covered raisins, with crunch coming from the tiny plain graham crackers. Interestingly, the few peanut bits, I feel, do detract from the experience–something about plain crunchy peanuts doesn’t mix with these. At times, it can overpower the more pleasurable white chocolate, and I say that as a peanut lover!
Springtime: Instead of a creamy white chocolate vibe, these sport a more creamy and soft peanut butter instead of a crunchier one from all the soft peanut butter candies. Granted, there are still some crunchy bits, and the few pieces of cereal bites add a light wafer crunch occasionally. This bag is also a little sweeter than its counterpart. Overall, I like these better, purely because the peanut is softer and the entire bag is a tad sweeter.
Both were released on April 2, 2025, for the Easter and spring season. Found at Aldi.
Hostess Donettes Fritter Rings
Score: 7.5 / 10

These remind me of glazed donuts! A sugary glaze coats the outside of a fairly dense and moist donut-like textured cake. It’s soft, and the flavor is a very light apple-like taste, but for the most part, it’s just sugary tasting. It sort of resembles a light-tasting fritter, except, unfortunately, fritters usually have a lot more apple and cinnamon flavors with more pronounced flavors. Instead, this falls into a plain glazed donut with a background of apple cinnamon. Still, these aren’t bad and feel like the child of a glazed donut and fritter.
Released March 3, 2025. Found at Walmart.
Lotus Biscoff Milk Chocolate and Vanilla Flavored Sandwich Cookies
Scores
Vanilla: 6 / 10
Chocolate: 6.5 / 10

Vanilla: A very faintly sweet, soft-stiff vanilla cream fills the center between two Biscoff-flavored, crunchy cookies. The cream almost resembles Oreo, but it’s not as thick, sweet, soft, or even creamy; it feels like a cheaper, tamer version. Honestly, this cream needs to be bolder and sweeter. Nonetheless, it’s a decent addition to the Biscoff cookies.
Chocolate: Unlike vanilla, the chocolate center is a smidge sweeter, bringing out its milk chocolate flavor in combination with the Biscoff cookie. Interestingly, this chocolate tastes different than your typical chocolate—I’m not sure how to put it; it’s just a different type of chocolate I haven’t sampled before that’s neither good nor bad. Perhaps milky chocolate with a hint of malt? Who knows? Anyway, overall, in my opinion, these are more flavorful than the vanilla, but not by too much; still, it’s enough for me to rank it higher.
I’m unsure of the exact release date of these. Found at Walmart.
Clancy’s Cinnamon Churros
Score: 5.5 / 10

What a funky taste. It has cinnamon and sugar, but it also has a clearly noted funky background. Is it plastic? Pure, bitter cinnamon? I don’t know, but either way, something about it is off-putting. They’re reasonably sweet, at least, and the texture is airy and crunchy, a lot like the Taco Bell version, but simply put, not as tasty overall. They’re okay, I guess.
I’m not sure of an exact release date, although reviews date back to as early as 2015. Found at Aldi.
Bake House Creations Cookie Dough Core Fudge
Score: 8.25 / 10

When you open the cup, a giant dough ball awaits you. It’s very smooth and soft when spooning in, revealing a dark, fudgy inner core. Both the taste and texture are perfect cookie dough; you can taste the sweetness and chocolate chips, feel the sugar crystals, and appreciate the nuances that make up a good dough. The inside core is small, albeit it’s pretty darn tasty. It’s essentially a thick, dark ganache with an equally sweet dark chocolate flavor. None of it gives artificial or fake vibes. All in all, these remind me of a cookie dough version of Ben & Jerry’s Core Pints!
While I’m not sure of an exact release date, reviews and mentions date to around April 2025. There is also a caramel version. Found at Aldi.
