Vanilla KitKat
Score: 7 / 10
Doesn’t feel as sweet as regular chocolate KitKats. Flavor-wise, it’s a crispy, creamy traditional white chocolate. Nothing more, nothing less. It’s almost kind of boring. Still, not terrible, I just expected more for some reason.
Released September 2024. Found at Walmart.
Werther’s Original Maple Creme
Score: 6.5 / 10
A hardish, chewy shell with a soft inside. The inside isn’t liquid or anything, but it’s pretty close! All of it tastes like a creamy, artificial, sweet maple. Nothing off-putting or too weird, I’m just not personally too crazy about it.
First released October 2022, they have come back every year since. Found at Walgreens.
Walgreens nice! Cinnamon Mini Cones
Score: 6 / 10
If you’ve ever smelt those seasonal cinnamon decorations in the store, this has an identical smell… it’s just… weird. Tasting it, it’s ab extremely light cinnamon with a moderately sweet sugary taste. The cones are pretty large, and consist of a soft-solid sweet creme. Overall, the smell really throws me off, and I really expected more from the taste.
Released around September 2024 for the fall season.
Walgreens nice! Salted Caramel Mini Cones
Score: 6.5 / 10
The smell and taste resembles some off-artificial caramel. It’s not your typical salted caramel in any sense. At the very least, the texture is decent as the filling is a soft-solid and the outside cone is a crunchy cone. Basically, an artificial caramel cone.
Released around September 2024 for the fall season.
Pillsbury Funfetti The Elf on the Shelf Peppermint Vanilla Whipped Frosting
Score: 6.5 / 10
Lightly sweet compared to other frostings. It has a tasty and creamy, not overly bold peppermint taste. Nothing strong like a Peppermint Patty or similar candy. The sprinkles add a nice touch to the texture the already very fluffy frosting. I could picture using this on almost anything, especially brownies and sugar cookies. Even if you’re not into peppermint, you still may enjoy this.
Released from October to December 2024 along with several other new Elf on the Shelf baked goods and frostings. Found at Walmart.
Pillsbury Funfetti The Elf on the Shelf Hot Cocoa Whipped Frosting
Score: 7 / 10
Perhaps one of the least sweetest frostings I’ve had, granted, it’s still reasonably sweet. It’s a light chocolate flavor, definitely resembling a milk chocolate hot cocoa flavor. The texture is super fluffy and light too, making this frosting pretty good on almost anything! Not to mention, the sprinkles add a light crunch!
Released from October to December 2024 along with several other new Elf on the Shelf baked goods and frostings. Found at Walmart.
Hostess Chocolate (Scary Cakes) Cupcakes
Score: 7.5 / 10
Nostalgia! And to note, these are the Halloween Scarycakes version (same thing just a different colored topping).
Moist, fairly thick, sweet chocolate cupcakes with a small glop of super soft and creamy sweet creme filling… so good! The chocolate is on the darker side which is nice. When chilled, it gets a little stiff, but it’s still just as good, just in a different way.
These have been around since the 1900s!
Entenmann’s Pop’ems Pumpkin Donut Holes
Score: 7.5 / 10
A bit thicker than your average munchkin or donut hole. They’re a little moist and have both a slight chewiness and crunch. Basically, it’s a very good texture and mouth-feel–it all feels premium. Lastly, they break apart quite easy, so be careful!
Taste-wise, it’s not as sweet as other munchkins, but it’s just enough and has a very light pumpkin taste. However, for the most part, it’s just sugary tasting.
Not sure when this was released. Found October 2024 at Stop & Shop.
Takis Churro Charge
Score: 6 / 10
Much more plain than I expected, especially from the Takis brand. It has a noticable corn taste that overwhelms the flavors. Granted, there isn’t much other flavor, simply a light cinnamon and sugar. And churro? Hardly. Still, I gets it’s there, just nowhere as close to a normal churro as its being shadowed by the corn flavor. Overall, kind of boring.
Released late October 2024 for a limited time.
Little Debbie Cosmic Mini Muffins
Score: 7 / 10
You know what, actually, its semi-accurate to Cosmic Brownies! It’s a slightly dark milk chocolate flavored muffin, and the chocolate seems to at least resemble the flavor of a Cosmic Brownie. The few sprinkles embedded however, add absolutely nothing. Other than that, they are light, moist muffins, similar to Little Bites, just a little more dry.
Released October 2024.
