Reviewing Dr. Choq, Habaneras & Adobada Pringles, Krem Bananas, and More

Updated:

This snack review has a variety of Pringles including Las Meras Meras Habaneras and Enchilada Adobaba, a Kinder Milk Chocolate Bar, Niagara Chocolates Red Velvet Cheesecake Dark Chocolate Cups, Dr. Choq Milk Chocolate with Brownie Fudge Bar, and Evropa Kreme Banana Minis. The most odd were the Niagara Chocolates because, well, I didn’t actually get the Cheesecake flavor! My favorite though was the Dr. Choq bar for how premium it tasted!

Pringles: Las Meras Meras Habaneras and Enchilada Adobaba

Score: 6 / 10

Two cans of Pringles next to each other: Las Meras Meras Habaneras and Enchilada Adobaba.

The Habaneras taste is a more extreme version of the Adobada. It’s fairly spicy although it doesn’t linger in your mouth long, and the lime is punchy. On top of that, there’s clearly some seasoning as it isn’t just a salty spicy lime chip, although I’m not exactly sure what the flavor is. The Adobada is very similar but toned down a notch and the flavor (seasoning) itself is just slightly different.

Both of these flavors were released in March 2023. Not sure if limited edition.

Kinder Milk Chocolate Bar

Score: 7 / 10

Front package of Kinder Milk Chocolate bar.

The milk chocolate is fairly creamy and reminds me of Hershey’s Symphony. Each piece is small but has a good amount of soft white filling. This filling is a bit sweet and makes the overall bar fairly sweet but not overpowering, as well adding to the creamy-like flavor.

Released to the US after being out in other countries in August 2023.

Evropa Krem Banana Minis

Score: 6 / 10

Box of Evropa Krem Banana Minis.

The texture is interesting, it’s easy to bite through as it’s soft, however, the inside isn’t creamy, it’s almost kind of a stiff-soft texture. The taste is semi-sweet chocolate with a equally sweet, slightly artificial banana taste.

The company has been around since the late 1800s although I’m not sure when this was released.

Dr. Choq Milk Chocolate with Brownie Fudge Bar

Score: 8 / 10

Dr. Choq Milk Chocolate with Brownie Fudge Bar.

The taste is near identical to Ghirardelli Caramel Chocolate squares except it doesn’t have the gooey caramel filling. Instead, these have semi-hard brownie and caramel bits in the chocolate but the taste is about the same. It’s a premium tasting, fun and interesting artwork wrapped, fairly sweet chocolate bar where each bite is a creamy caramel chocolate taste. Also, while the bar is square, the individual pieces are shaped like lightning!

There isn’t much about the company online or social medias. Found at Ocean State Job Lot, I haven’t seen them in any mainstream stores.

Niagara Chocolates Red Velvet Cheesecake Dark Chocolate Cups

Score: 5 / 10

I’m not sure what happened but these are clearly milk chocolate caramel cups! I emailed the the company and unfortunately, it looks they are closing up shop. The representative did say it was maybe the dye that was different but to me, the taste was a fairly cheap semi-sweet chocolate with sweet gooey caramel filling.

Niagara Chocolates has been around since the 1950s but recently has had to close its doors mid 2023 (see above). Not sure when this flavor was released.
