Reviewing Dave’s Killer Bread Trail Mix, Hebert Brownie Batter, E. Wedel Tiramisu & More

This snack review has Dave’s Killer Bread Trail Mix Crumble Snack Bars, IOS Natural Hazel Chocolate Filled Coconut Coated Fig Balls, Back to Nature Chocolate with Lemon & Ginger Flavored Bar, Hebert Brownie Batter Chocolate Bar, and E. Wedel Dark Chocolate Bar with Tiramisu Flavour Filling. Out of this large bunch, I didn’t really have any standout favorites. On the other hand, the most odd was, well, while I appreciated the flavor of the Ginger & Lemon flavored chocolate bar, it’s not something I’d buy again.

Dave’s Killer Bread Trail Mix Crumble Organic Snack Bars

Score: 5.5 / 10

Front box of Dave's Killer Bread Trail Mix Crumble Organic Snack Bars.

Soft, fairly thick, and just slightly crumbly and easy to pull apart, these have more of a premium texture and more refined taste than your standard trail mix type bars. The taste is mostly typical but has more of a “organic” and “natural” taste where you can taste what it’s made of including a bit of the dates and hints of chocolate. Overall, it’s semi-sweet and a good quality bar if you’re into trail mix or organic tasting snacks.

Soft rollout some time in 2022 with a full release around April 2023. There’s two other flavors alongside this one, including Cocoa Brownie Blitz and Oat-Rageous Honey Almond. Found at Stop & Shop.

IOS Natural Hazel Chocolate Filled Coconut Coated Fig Balls

Score: 6 / 10

The texture is soft, thick, moist and chewy, and easy to bite through. It’s a fairly sweet (but not overly so) fig taste with just a hint of hazelnut from the inside filling. The outside coconut doesn’t contribute much other than giving it a super light crunch and some texture. Great if you like figs and their texture.

While I’m not sure when this product was released, this company still appears fairly new with a date of 2021 listed on their website. Found at Ocean State Job Lot.

Back to Nature Vegan Natural Chocolate with Lemon & Ginger Flavored Bar

Score: 5 / 10

Front package of Back to Nature Vegan Natural Chocolate with lemon and ginger flavored bar.

Reminds me of a light lemon and ginger tea but without the tea taste. Instead, it’s a light, semi-sweet milk chocolate where the lemon and ginger are there equally and nothing overpowers each other. It all comes together to form an interesting and pleasant combination, though, it’s not something for me personally.

The company has been around since 1960 according to their Facebook. but I’m not sure when they released this product. The only review I could find was one from May 2023. Found at Ocean State Job Lot.

Hebert Brownie Batter Chocolate Bar

Score: 6 / 10

Front package of Hebert Brownie Batter chocolate bar.

The taste isn’t exactly brownie and instead it’s more like a standard quality, semi-dark, fairly sweet chocolate bar. There is a thin, dark, slightly gooey filling in each piece that mostly tastes the same as the chocolate shell so it doesn’t really add much to the experience.

Hebert dates back to 1912 although I’m not sure when they released this chocolate bar. Found at Ocean State Job Lot.

E. Wedel Dark Chocolate with Tiramisu Flavour Filling Chocolate Bar

Score: 6.5 / 10

Front package of E. Wedel Dark Chocolate with Tiramisu Filling Flavour chocolate bar.

Despite having a semi-dark chocolate, the bar overall is fairly sweet. This is due to the good amount of soft, creamy filling that doesn’t really taste like tiramisu. It’s mostly just a pretty sweet, interesting flavor, though, I can’t pinpoint what the flavor is exactly.

E. Wedel has been around since 1851. While I’m not sure when this product was released, some reviews date back to 2016. Found at Ocean State Job Lot.
