This snack review has Compte D’Chocolate Dark Chocolate Strawberry 50% Cocoa Bar, Bugles Cinnadust Cinnamon Toast Crunch, Wilde Chicken & Waffles Protein Chips, Seven 7 Select Day of the Dead Hatch Chile Dark Chocolate Bar, and Walgreens Nice! S’mores Candy Corn.
One of the first times where almost all the snacks scored the same in my book. None stood out, all were mediocre. Out of all of them however, I was especially most disappointed by the Cinnadust Bugles. How can you label something with the Cinnamon Toast Crunch label and not have it really taste like the thing? Aside from that, I really thought most of these would be so much better and would be as tasty as they were advertised.
Compte D’Chocolate Fine Belgian Dark Chocolate Strawberry 50% Cocoa Bar

This is the most odd tasting dark chocolate bar I’ve ever had. It’s a bit dark, semi-sweet, but the flavor is just… weird? It’s not that off-putting, it’s just clearly not strawberry or full blown dark chocolate either. Also, there are little bits of crunchy things inside throughout the bar that appear reddish white.
Not sure when these were released. Found at Ocean State Job Lot.
Bugles Cinnamon Toast Crunch with Cinnadust

I love Cinnamon Toast Crunch so this must be just as good, right?! Despite the near identical smell to Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal, the taste is a muchly watered down version. It simply isn’t nearly as strong but it’s still decently sweet and retains some of the flavor. They’re messy to eat due to the thick Cinnadust coating on the hollow crunchy Bugles.

Wilde Chicken & Waffles Protein Chips
Score: 5.5 / 10
The chips and pretty thick but super soft and not that crunchy. The flavor is not really chicken and waffles? I can’t really say for sure, it kind of is, sort of? It’s super light.
While I’m not sure when these were released, reviews date back to around 2021.
Seven Eleven (7 / 11) Select Day of the Dead Hatch Chile Dark Chocolate Bar
Score: 5.5 / 10
Regular dark chocolate tasting bar with a light background of a spicy Chile. Though, this isn’t at all spicy, it’s as if you smelled the pepper without eating any – very interesting! It’s clearly there but you don’t really “taste” it. The bar is small but quite thick for a chocolate bar.
I haven’t seen any press release or other reviews on this at the time of writing but an employee did notify me that these are new and were released around early fall 2023.
Walgreens Nice! S’mores Candy Corn
Score: 6 / 10
Despite candy corn in the name, it tastes nothing alike. These are moderately sweet and have a sort of s’mores-ish artificial taste. To be fair, s’mores would be hard to get in this type of candy so I feel it’s good enough.
I’m not sure when these were released but personally and from looking at the few reviews, it may have released around the early fall 2023 season.
