Reviewing Aldi Winternacht Snacks, Toblerone, & More

This snack review has Winternacht Soft Gingerbread Wafer Cookies, Chocolate Dominos, Edelmarzipan Baumstamm, Marzipan Stollen Bites, as well as Toblerone.

Winternacht is a brand made exclusively for Aldi. Not sure when they released these specific snacks although I found them among their Christmas snacks this year.

Winternacht Soft Gingerbread Wafer Cookies

Score: 7 / 10

Package of Winternacht Soft Gingerbread Wafer Cookies.

Such an interesting texture! It’s like a soft, almost crumbly, chewy, cake cookie-like thing with a super thin lightly crunchy chocolate and sugar shell. It kind of has everything in terms of texture. Overall, the cookies have a moderately sweet gingerbread flavor.

Package of Winternacht Soft Gingerbread Wafer Cookies.

Winternacht Chocolate Dominos

Score: 8 / 10

Front package of Winternacht Chocolate Dominos; Gingerbread Cookies with filling.

These are so soft and the flavor is such an intereeting combination! There’s three different layers as advertised and they all come together nicely. You can taste the persipan, jelly, and the ginger all equally. Overall, it’s a decently sweet gingery fruity candy with a smooth persipan flavor.

Winternacht Edelmarzipan Baumstamm Milk Chocolate Marzipan Nougat Log

Score: 8 / 10

Front package of Winternacht Edelmarzipan Baumstamm Milk Chocolate Marzipan Nougat Log.

A thin chocolate shell wraps a fairly sweet soft-solid marzipan filling. The whole candy bar is almost a little too sweet especially compared to other Marzipan but this is still very tasty.

Winternacht Marzipan Stollen Bites

Score: 7 / 10

Front package of Winternacht Marzipan Stollen Bites.

Dry on the outside and has a slightly moist center with embedded raisins throughout. It’s a little sweeter than semi-sweet and tastes kind of like a soft, powdery soft biscuit with a moist raisiny inside. There does seem to be another flavor there, is it marzipan? I’m not sure but it seems close enough.

Toblerone

Score: 6.5 / 10

Package of Toblerone chocolate.

Milk chocolate with a light crunch from the embedded pieces. It’s fairly sweet and reminds me of Hershey’s but the chocolate taste is just slightly different. Interesting little chocolate breakapart humps.

Released in 1908.
