Aldi Bake Shop Kitchen Sink Cookies
Score: 7 / 10

First taste: yup, that’s peanut butter. It’s light but noticeable. There’s perfectly sweet, about right, not too much or too little: unoffending. There’s a variety of toppings embedded that add bits of crunch, soft bits, and other texture compositions. In terms of flavor, aside from some peanut butter, I taste some dark chocolate bits, but that’s really about it. The cookie itself is reasonably soft but solid, on the slightly chewier and dry side. Still, it’s tasty, and the texture is good enough.
While I’m not sure when this was released, some reviews date back to 2018. Found at Aldi.
Choceur Milk Chocolate S’mores Clusters
Score: 8.5 / 10

A thick, semi-chewy caramel connects the mini graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate. Surprisingly, it’s not as sweet as I would have thought; however, it’s still sweet enough. To me, the caramel and crunchy graham cracker steal the show in terms of flavor; still, it has a nice background of chocolate and marshmallow. The texture of these is also pretty good: a mix of thick caramel, crunchy graham cracker, and chewy marshmallow.
While I’m not sure when this was released, some reviews date back to 2023. Found at Aldi.
Aldi Park Street Limited Edition Chocolate Chip Cannoli Dip
Score: 7.5 / 10

Unlike the Snickerdoodle flavor, these are the opposite. Instead of being super sweet, these are moderately sweet, with unnoticeable mini chocolate chips. Flavor-wise, it’s a regular ol’ creamy cannoli. So, basically, this just tastes like regular cannoli cream you’d find in the pastry.
Released in December 2023 for a limited time, along with other flavors (another review from October 2024, here). These have come back in 2024 as well.
Chips Ahoy! Baked Bites
Score: 6.5 / 10

There are several wrapped packages in this box. The texture of these little blocks feels artificial and very similar to their chewy cookie versions. Taste-wise, they’re not as chocolatey as their cookie-counterparts. They’re still semi-chocolate and have a decent amount of sweetness, but there also seems to be a hint of vanilla. Other than that, there are a few chocolate chips that add a bit of texture.
Released early January, 2025. Found at Walmart.
Goldfish Cinnamon Roll Grahams
Score: 7 / 10

These have a soft, fulfilling crunch, much different than traditional crunchy goldfish. They’re soft enough to melt in your mouth like a soft, thick biscuit. These also come with a moderately sweet, cinnamon-sugar taste. This pairs nicely with the graham cracker taste of the fish itself. Nothing comes across as artificial or bad; in fact, it kind of reminds me of Cinnamon Toast Crunch!
Released in late December 2024, along with Vanilla Cupcake and Strawberry Shortcake flavors. Found at Stop & Shop.
Manischewitz Chanukah House Cookie Decorating Kit
Score: 8 / 10

The cookie house itself has a very light, buttery vanilla taste; it’s a really fairly pleasant eat. The white frosting it comes with is standard, sweet, sugary, and easy to decorate with. The colored frostings are similar but have a bitter aftertaste from the dye.
Overall, this kit provides an overabundance of different colored frosting, which is substantially more than enough to decorate with (unlike most other house kits). I also love the addition of the mini-pack of fondant and hard candies and sprinkles.
While I’m not sure when this was released, reviews date back several years. Found at Stop & Shop.
Peeps Breyers Cookies & Cream
Score: 6.5 / 10

Coming in a smidge less sweet than regular peeps, these instead have a creamy vanilla taste. The cookie part, however, isn’t at all noticeable; instead, there are just little dark specks that seem to be just for decoration.
Released January 2025. Found at Walmart.
Cafe Valley Classic Red Velvet Bites
Score: 8 / 10

Moist, thick, and it has a bold red velvet flavor. Despite being moist, they can be somewhat crumbly. There are sugar crystals that add a light crunch. The few embedded chocolate chips resemble the soft texture of the cake and also add a hint of chocolate. There needs to be improvement with the cream cheese: it’s stiff and flavorless, although at least it adds some creaminess.
Released in 2017. Found at Aldi.
Cafe Valley Cinnamon Cream Cheese Coffeecake
Score: 6.5 / 10

These are your regular ol’ coffee cakes, albeit more tamed down. They’re semi-moist, a bit crumbly, and have a decently sweet taste. If anything, it needs a bit more cinnamon and sugar to fully match a good coffee cake. Also, unfortunately, the small dollop of thick, stiff cream cheese is completely flavorless, though it adds a touch of creaminess.
I’m unsure of an exact release date, although reviews date back to as early as 2017. Found at Aldi.
Golden Oreo Cakesters
Score: 7.5 / 10

Vanilla is the only thing I can think of. The soft-hard, almost stiff cookie part has your classic Golden Oreo taste, and the creme in the middle is exactly like an Oreo. Essentially, it’s a puffed-up Golden Oreo. My criticism is that I wish the cookie part was a little less stiff and, instead, more moist and chewy. Other than that, the flavor and texture is good enough.
Rereleased after a decade of being absent in early January 2025. Found at Walmart.
