Gastone Lago Roll Wafer Cappuccino Flavored
Score: 7.25 / 10

Review
The wafers themselves of these are reasonably thick and crunchy, perhaps not as much so as others, but good enough. The inside is noticeably very, very soft, nearly turning to liquid above room temperature! Compared to the “American”-based filled wafers—yeah, the filling here seems to have been made without regard for heat and to last a shorter time; these are different than typical wafer rolls in this regard.
Flavor-wise, it’s absolutely as advertised. Reasonably sweet with a solid coffee-like taste. They’re good, they’re different, and they feel mostly of quality. My biggest dislike is the inner cream itself. Since it’s so darn soft, it doesn’t have the best mouth or bite feel that I’ve come to really enjoy from other rolled wafers; it’s missing that thick, solid, creamy texture that is supposed to contrast the wafer portion!

Nonni’s Bakery Cookies & Creme Biscotti
Score: 6 / 10

Review
Lightly sweet semi-dark chocolate and airy cookie with a little tinge of cream from the dipped bottom. Unfortunately, this cream is super thin and doesn’t contribute nearly enough.
The texture resembles a typical airy, crunchy cookie. For me, it’s not the best in terms of flavor or texture by itself; it’s not sweet or bold enough, and its composition just feels like it isn’t my vibe—I’d prefer something softer. Yeah, I know biscotti is supposed to be crunchy, but it’s just a personal preference of mine!
Putting aside my bias, for a biscotti, it is different and worth a go if you’re into these types of cookies. I could see it pair well with a sweet coffee to bring its flavor up.

Mike and Ike Cotton Candy Candies
Score: 4.5 / 10

Review
So, uh, where is the flavor? These are incredibly plain, even more than regular Mike and Ikes. These are just plain, lightly sugary sweet candies. Nothing more, nothing less. They’re just not sweet enough, and the flavor is, well, flavorless.
Of course, the texture is no different than standard Mike and Ikes. Soft and chewy (something I can get behind, unlike the flavor). And at least the box looks retro and cool!

Moon Pie Once in a Blue Moon Blueberry
Score: 7 / 10

Review
When I opened this, I was genuinely surprised by the sweet blueberry smell and taken aback by both the color and how it was applied. It’s got a bright blue shell, albeit it’s just thinly applied—you can see the orangey cake starting to shine through the cracks—disappointing!
The taste, like its differently flavored cousins, is moderately sweet, but this also has a very light, appreciable artificial blueberry instead. And, like the others, these are thick and chewy, and I especially love how the marshmallow comes through well too, providing a nice, sweet combination to the texture and taste.
I feel like the biggest downside to all Moon Pies is that they can come across as somewhat dry and artificial-feeling. To get through this, however, I warm them up for just a few brief seconds in the microwave!

While I can’t find an exact release date, reviews date back to around June 2023. Some online sources suggest these are limited edition. Found at Dollar Tree in August 2025.
Hilco Dark Chocolaty and Cookies n’ Cream Mini Waffle Cones
Scores
Dark Chocolaty: 7.5 / 10
Cookies n’ Cream: 7 / 10

Review
Dark Chocolaty: For the price, wow, these pack a punch! Somewhere between milk chocolate and dark, these have quite a sweet chocolaty taste—just as advertised! Then, the crunchy waffle cone complements it well by toning it down just enough and providing the inevitable crunch!
I also want to recognize how filled these cones are—right to the very top with a soft-solid ganache, providing a nice mouthfeel when you bite in after you’ve passed the crunchy waffle part. And, like I mentioned before, the crunchy shell tastes like an authentic waffle (in mini form!) and provides good contrast.
Overall, compared to other filled waffle cones that are more expensive, these might even rival or top them! Such a steal at the Dollar Tree!
Cookies n’ Cream: Same texture and sweetness as its chocolaty companion. However, of course, the flavor is different. The difference being that here, it contains an advertised cookies and cream flavor.
It’s a bit dark, though at the same time, moderately sweet without any discernible bitterness. What bothers me, though, is some artificial taste that seems to come from the chocolate. It’s not too weird, but something about the aftertaste makes me raise an eyebrow: “This shouldn’t be here.” Lastly, the inside cream is sugary and quite creamy and does complement the chocolate shell well.
Overall, these feel worth more than they are priced at. They don’t quite match the more expensive waffle-filled cones in my opinion, but they’re reasonably close. Also, while I love cookies and cream flavored treats, this was brought down by that fake-tasting chocolate.

Redondo Strawberry Creme Wafer Rolls
Score: 7 / 10

Review
So, I got these cheap at the Dollar Tree, and needless to say, they are impressive for what they offer. Don’t get me wrong though, they definitely aren’t as luxurious as other wafer rolls in most metrics either.
Compared to more expensive ones, simply put, the wafer and cream here cannot compete, except for the price maybe. The composition of these is almost entirely this thin, airy-tasting, lightly crunchy wafer—it’s actually pretty addicting because of how light they are, but it does feel cheap and not as thick as it ought to be.
Since the wafer takes up the bulk of everything, the soft cream is more subtle and doesn’t stick out much, if at all. Overall, I actually really do like this texture nonetheless—something about biting through it all is quite satisfying.
Lastly, the flavor is okay. It’s a mild, reasonably sweet, creamy strawberry. Nothing bold, punchy, or too artificial. Combining this with the wafer, it’s good enough—and you know what, despite being cheap and me bashing it so much here, these are actually a pleasant eat, and for the price, absolutely worth it.

Frankford Gummy Snack Pack: Kraft Mac & Cheese, Oscar Mayer, and Claussen
Score: 3 / 10

Review
How deceptive! I really thought—perhaps foolishly—that they’d at least resemble their advertised flavor. Instead, these are all regularly mildly sweet gummies with a tough, chewy texture; essentially, they’re typical cheap-tasting gummies in the shape of some popular foods. Nothing more, nothing less. To me, these are way too plain and hard to even be remotely enjoyable.

Hu Nut Butter Hazelnut Butter Dark Chocolate Bar
Score: 6 / 10

Review
I really thought this would have that off-tasting earthy organic taste, but not here! These are fairly dark with little sweetness and not too much bitterness. For a dark chocolate bar—and I say this as someone who doesn’t like extra dark chocolate too much—I don’t mind it. For reference, I’d perhaps say it’s around 70% dark.
What’s disappointing is the “filling.” It’s incredibly thin and as hard as the shell—which I should mention, is very thick! With this ratio, though, the supposed hazelnut butter filling is completely overtaken by the dark chocolate.
Essentially, what you get is a fairly thick dark chocolate bar that, at least for me, needs more sweetness and actual hazelnut butter to be enjoyable.

Brownie Brittle Blondies with M&M’s Minis
Score: 7 / 10

Review
When you think of bark, you likely think of a crunchy candy-based chocolate. This isn’t it. It’s a cookie. In fact, it’s nearly equivalent to a Chips Ahoy! crunchy cookie about to go stale—yeah, I know the “stale” part doesn’t sound good, but I did say almost—just something about it feels like it’s going soft like you’d find in a stale cookie.
Basically, it’s more or less a Chips Ahoy! cookie. Crunchy, airy, and with that standard recognizable chocolate cookie taste. And the M&Ms in these? We’re talking Chips Ahoy!—those also act identically like the chocolate chips—nothing is different!
So, yeah, I do firmly believe these are just disguised Chips Ahoy! cookies calling themselves a bark. Almost fooled me!

Released April 5, 2023, alongside other flavors. Found in August at Target.
