Korean Bugak Sticky Rice and Seaweed Crisps

Score: 6.5 / 10

Trader Joe's Korean Bugak Sticky Rice and Seaweed Crisps.

Review

There is quite a lot of flavor for a seaweed snack here, I was surprised. They are reasonably salty and well seasoned, without being too punchy, and light and pleasant to eat, unlike other seaweed-based snacks, which can taste kind of funky or fishy, especially if you’re not used to them. I also appreciate the touch of sweetness, too.

The texture is also good; they’re fairly crunchy, not too dry, and have a great mouthfeel.

Release Date

Released February 2026. Found mid-March 2026.

Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips Ranch Flavored

Score: 6 / 10

Trader Joe's Rolled Corn Tortilla Chips Ranch Flavored.

Review

These have everything I want: rolled, crunchy tortilla with ranch seasoning. Unfortunately, not quite what I got!

These remind me of a thick taki. They’re coated with seasoning that stains your hands, and they have a fairly hard, dry mouthfeel and crunch.

Taste-wise, they’re milder than you might expect, especially with how much seasoning appears to be on them. There’s a fried tortilla-like flavor alongside a milder, very tame ranch; neither flavor is very strong in these. I feel like most of the enjoyment comes from the texture — assuming you like that type of harder, thicker crunch — otherwise, they’re simply not packing as much flavor as I thought they would.

Release Date

Released early March 2026. Found mid-March 2026.

Organic White Truffle Potato Chips

Score: 5.75 / 10

Review

Unfortunately, these are only mildly seasoned, with a truffle-like, creamy flavor. There’s also an equal, if not more, amount of salt. Texture-wise, they’re fairly thin and not as crunchy as I’d like, reminding me of something like Lays quality.

Overall, these need more seasoning and crunchiness because, as they are now, they’re on the cheaper, plainer-tasting and feeling end.

Release Date

They’ve been around since at least 2018. Found mid-December 2025.

Cashel Blue Cheese Irish Potato Chips

Score: 6 / 10

Review

Pretty much regular, moderately crunchy, ridged chips. They don’t feel explicitly premium or cheap, just fairly generic.

The flavor is well-seasoned, semi-creamy, and moderate in blue cheese. To me, however, the combination of different seasonings takes the forefront, while the cheesy blue cheese part is next in line. So what you’re hit with initially is a bunch of different seasonings, and then finally, what’s actually advertised. It feels a bit too punchy and needs some additional blue cheese flavor and creaminess to tone it down.

Overall, they’re good chips, very well seasoned, perhaps too much. I wouldn’t mind more actual bold blue cheese flavor, though, to counteract the flavors presented here and to make it more enjoyable overall.

Release Date

Likely first released around the fall of 2024. Found late November 2025.

Thanksgiving Stuffing Seasoned Kettle Chips

Score: 6 / 10

Review

To me, these taste like an off-brand stuffing. Just something about the stuffing seasoning makes me go “this does taste like stuff, but it’s a brand I haven’t tried before.” I also noticed they have a smidge of bread-like-buttery flavor, which was nice; however, don’t be fooled —this is stuffing — the Turkey, and thus any meat flavor, is missing! Lastly, it had the right amount of saltiness — tame, yet enhanced the flavor just enough!

I also liked the texture, which, to me, didn’t seem like a full crunchy kettle chip; they were a bit softer, and not in a bad way either.

Release Date

Although I couldn’t find an exact release date, the earliest mention I found dates back to October 2022. Found early November 2025.

Jerk-Style Plantain Chips

Score: 4.5 / 10

Review

A few chips in, I think to myself, “a bit salty, a soft crunch, and some very light seasoning.” Then the spiciness hits, and it lingers for some time, overpowering the other flavors. Even as someone who appreciates spiciness, I wish these chips had a more balanced seasoning and less heat. I’m also not sure if it’s even necessarily jerk-seasoned; I just know it has a little bit of… something.

As much as I like spicy chips, here it kind of ruins it.

Release Date

While I can’t find an exact release date, reviews date back to around 2019. Found June 2025.

Synergistically Seasoned Popcorn

Score: 6 / 10

Review

This has… everything? Like, I can taste it all. A bit of sweetness, BBQ, spiciness, and saltiness. And, for whatever reason, it works. However, the spicy kick takes up more of the front row, with the others right behind it. Texture-wise, it’s like regular popcorn—soft, slightly crunchy, and it feels decently premium.

This is probably one of the most unique-tasting popcorns I’ve had, and really, I can’t express this enough: how do all these flavors just work so well together? You have to try it to experience it; that’s all that really is there to it. The only reason I rated it sort of low is that I’m more of a fan of sweet, sugary popcorn.

Release Date

These have been discontinued and have returned several times throughout the last few years. Found June 2025.

Chocolatey Drizzled Strawberry Kettle Popcorn

Score: 6.25 / 10

Review

Surprisingly authentic. What stood out to me was the strawberry. Well, not really a standout—the flavor is too light, in my opinion—but what it represented was perfect. The little bit of strawberry you could taste felt like the real thing. Along with the overshadowing chocolate, it’s reminiscent of a chocolate-dipped strawberry.

As I alluded to, however, the strawberry flavor isn’t as strong as it should be. This feels like a moderately sweet, chocolate-drizzled popcorn with notes of strawberry. It’s nice, but it could be so much better. You can also physically see it—the chocolate drizzle is generous, while the strawberry is denoted as small specks scattered around loosely.

Texture-wise, it’s mostly traditional popcorn with a slightly crunchier composition. At the same time, with all the drizzle, it does feel “loaded” in a sense. So, if you’re really into sweeter popcorns, give this a try!

Release Date

Released February 2024. Found June 2025.

Cinnamon Bun Inspired Kettle Popcorn

Score: 6 / 10

Front package of Trader Joe's Cinnamon Bun Inspired Kettle Popcorn.

Review

It’s not quite a cinnamon roll, but it’s sort of close. This has a more “dark,” cinnamony, moderately sweet taste. The texture is similar to crunchy caramelized popcorn, but feels more premium and less cheap.

Release Date

Released November 2022. Found December 2023.

Back package including nutrition label of Trader Joe's Cinnamon Bun Inspired Kettle Popcorn.

Everything But The Bagel Kettle Cooked Chips

Score: 6.5 / 10

Front package of Trader Joe's Everything But The Bagel Kettle Cooked Chips.

Review

This has everything and an extra onion. The taste has a noticeably strong onion aftertaste, which isn’t bad if you like onions, but it definitely isn’t reminiscent of an everything-style bagel. The chips were great, though: crunchy, thick, and premium.

Release Date

Released January 2021. Found December 2023.

Back package including nutrition label of Trader Joe's Everything But The Bagel Kettle Cooked Chips.
