Ranking & Reviewing Dubai Chocolate Bars, Treats, Candies, Sweets, & More

Updated:

My reviews and ranking of Dubai-flavored sweets, treats, candies, and more. What’s the best one? The worst? Here, we’ll find out!

General Review

Needless to say, the Dubai chocolate craze has taken over 2024 and beyond, with social media influencers, companies, and big chain stores making their own versions or spin-offs of it.

For the most part, so far, my experience has been mixed. Many of the treats I’ve tried are good, though, not great, and even more so, expensive! You’ll likely find a lot of my reviews of these products are similar, because, well, they are! In fact, I’d go so far as to suggest that they’re all–yes, Dubai products–are perhaps overhyped, usually only adding some light crunch and at best, mildly nutty and earthy-like flavors, often overshadowed by other represented tastes.

Unfortunately, the wealth of my experience chowing down on all these treats and candies has found that the difference between most is minimal, as the Dubai-based fillings and flavors are generally very mild and subtle at their strongest.

Lindt Dubai Style Milk Chocolate Stick

Score: 6.75 / 10

Review

I had reviewed their regular chocolate Dubai-based bar here. The big question is, is this version any different? It definitely looks different from the outside; instead of a uniform flat chocolate bar, these have breakable parts that appear thicker, and hopefully, have more filling… or even a better flavor!

Definitely thicker filling than the regular Lindt chocolate Dubai bars, though, less chocolately. One more comparison: the chocolate shell is about identical in texture and size to its counterpart–soft-ish chocolate, and a snap when you break apart a piece. Again, what differs is the larger amount of filling.

And perhaps most importantly, the most nutty Dubai bar I’ve had!

I don’t think it’s exactly pistachio, it’s more like a generic nuttiness with a combination of other earthy, very mild seasonings that make it taste like a differently flavored Dubai bar, as well as figuring out what type of nut this is made from. What you end up getting is a light chocolate bar with a mild crunch from the phyllo (very light crunches, especially compared to other Dubai bars I’ve had) from the center as well as a nutty, Dubai-ish flavor.

This Dubai flavor is notably different from most of the other Dubai flavors I’ve had, as again, it’s the most nutty one I’ve had to date. It’s overall still a good candy bar, but something about it leaning too much on the nutty side while neglecting all the other flavors makes it more subpar than it should be. Maybe just me–I just prefer other Dubai-flavored treats.

Lastly, it doesn’t taste as creamy as regular Lindt bars nor Lindt’s other Dubai bar, and comes across as less sweet, which again, makes the nuttiness even more pronounced.

Interesting trade-off, and in the overall scheme of Dubai bars, expect nuttiness and a different take on Dubai flavor.

Release Date

This appears to be a newer product compared to their regular Dubai chocolate bar. Reviews on their product page date back to around October 2025. Found mid-December 2025 online at Target.

Russell Stover Dubai Style Chocolate

Score: 8 / 10

Review

Russell Stover is known for their ultra-sweet candies, and long story short, while this is one of the sweeter Dubai-based bars I’ve had, it’s very tame compared to the rest of the Russell Stover candies. This comes across as a more authetic chocolate and somewhere between mildly and moderately sweet–it’s about perfect in my opinion, especially for what it’s trying to put forward.

First, these are all individually wrapped. A semi-dark, thin-ish shell that has pretty green twirls on it is wrapped in a generous amount of dark green, ganache-looking filling.

Biting into it, it’s thick, chunky, and smooth at the same time, and most importantly, premium feeling. There is a generous amount of light crunches that resembles a roasted coconut-like mouthfeel, and with how thick and soft the filling is, combined with the soft shell, it’s a great eating experience.

Most importantly, these are surprisingly flavorful and creamy, especially compared to other Dubai bars. Perhaps it’s the sweetness or the amount of filling, I’m not sure, but the filling, while mild, has a subtle taste of the traditional Dubai flavor, where you can taste the slight nuttiness and earthy-ish Dubai flavors. It works well with the chocolate portion of the treat, too.

These are a tier above most Dubai products I’ve had until now. They’re fulfilling, the filling is substantial, and the flavors and sweetness are just right. Russell Stover nailed this!

First debuted in August 2025 with a wider rollout later in October. Found early December 2025 at Stop & Shop.

Leonessa Chocolatier Dubai Chocolate Cones

Score: 7.25 / 10

Review

These cones are some of the largest filled cones I’ve ever had! The cone itself has a soft crunch, resembling a light waffle cone with an equally mild graham-like cone taste.

This cone wraps around a good amount of filling. The top layer has crunchy bits on top of a thin, solid milk chocolate portion that’s lightly sweet, followed by a more substantial portion of a light green, softer filling that is supposed to give you the Dubai flavor it advertises. While the mouthfeel is good enough (as are most filled waffle cones) and how amazing these look and how they’re designed, unfortunately, overall, the flavors fall short.

First, it doesn’t help that the cone itself and the chocolate aren’t as flavorful as they should be. More importantly, the Dubai filling, like its pale color, has a pale flavor. Not only is it not as crunchy as most other Dubai products I’ve had, but the flavor also is more plain, and its texture is a smidge more solid instead of creamy like most others. The taste is, at best, an essence of Dubai. Honestly, I really tried looking for the supposed Dubai flavor, and I don’t think I got much of any. You could have blindfolded me, and I would have guessed this was just a lightly sweet chocolate-filled cone that needed more sweetness.

I’m unsure of a release date, although mentions and reviews date back to around mid-2025. Found early December 2025 at Stop & Shop.

Miskets Dubai Milk Chocolate Bar

Score: 7.5 / 10

Review

These bars have a good amount of filling inside, all wrapped with an exceptionally soft milk chocolate shell. This shell has a similar, creamy flavor and sweetness to a regular, average chocolate bar. It’s not over the top, and the texture is definitely a standout!

There is a good amount of filling in this, and mouthfeel-wise, it throws you a good amount of crunchy bits as well as a pleasantly thick and soft feeling when you bite through. I also taste a hint of pistachio and other Dubai-like flavors present, but like other bars, they could be stronger and more pronounced in my opinion.

An overall good bar, primarily due to its authentic, chocolate flavor, complemented by the generous amount of crunchy, tasty filling.

Walmart Marketside Dubai-Style Chocolate Cake

Score: 7.75 / 10

Review

This cake is surprisingly small for its price ($13), especially given that you can get a same-sized Walmart cake for almost half! Really, it looks like it’s a cake for only a single person!

Upon inspection, the filling in the middle looks uneven, both in terms of how it’s presented and the filling-to-cake-ratio. For example, it’s oozing out on one side, but on the other, you can barely see it! Additionally, the cake portion, for better or worse, seems much, much larger in comparison. At the very least, it is well-decorated with twirly bits on top as well as a chocolate oval tag decoration with a gold design.

The cake itself looks like your standard boxed cake mix and the same type of cake you buy at the Walmart bakery. And biting in, well, it’s more or less similar to just that, although there are differences.

The cake layer itself tastes like Walmart’s typical moist, light, semi-dark, and sweet chocolate cake. It’s unoffending and will please most people. Truth be told, though, that’s what this cake mostly is.

First, and maybe it’s because it’s fresh from the fridge, the cream on top is stiffer than the usual Walmart cake frostings. It feels like it’s trying to be something more premium; unfortunately, however, it’s mostly flavorless, only providing some additional mouthfeel when you bite into the cake itself. The top twirly bits are the same story–not at all crunchy, as soft as the frosting and cake itself. Lastly, and surprisingly, the oval chip on top was a sweet and tasty dark chocolate with a snappy crunch (probably my favorite part about this cake, honestly).

So, that filling. It’sโ€ฆ actually quite good for what you’re given. Sure, it’s uneven, but even the thinner parts provide a satisfying enough crunch–it feels like I’m chewing through a thick ganache full of roasted, crunchy coconut bits.

In terms of flavor, it provides a small something. I can’t tell what it is–it doesn’t feel like it’s a strong and explicit pistachio, more like a mix of, well, just a little something between some type of nuttiness, a slight amount of sugar, and a smidge of earthiness. However, unfortunately, the cake layers do overwhelm to some degree, though, don’t get me wrong, for such a thin filling, it does pack a noticeable addition to the mouthfeel and a hint of an additional flavor that does complement the cake as a whole. Perhaps if I tried hard enough, I could imagine a more explicit pistachio with other flavors.

Overall, the price of this cake is too much. On the other hand, for such a thinner filling, it punches above its weight, adding a pleasantly soft and thick texture to the cake as a whole, as well as some nuance to the flavor besides just straight-up chocolate.

Worth a buy? If you have the money or are really, really curious.

Released in early November 2025. Found late November 2025 at Walmart.

Patislove Pistachio Dark Chocolate Dubai Style Chocolate Bar

Score: 7.5 / 10

Review

This sports a good amount of inner pistachio ganache compared to many other bars I’ve had. The dark chocolate shell is also fairly thick, though very soft, and doesn’t have the usual crunch of typical chocolate bars. However, there are noticeable little crunches from the soft, creamy inner pistachio filling, which help nicely by providing an additional cushioned mouthfeel and crunchy bits.

For the most part, it’s a fairly mild, sweet dark chocolate bar that’s creamy, not at all artificial, and not bitter. The inner part, while not strong or any bold Dubai or explicitly pistachio flavored, boasts a huge amount of very creamy mouthfeel and is thick enough to provide a nice contrast.

The overall taste and the bite feel premium and thick, though I wish it were still more nutty. I love the amount of filling and crunchy bits. It’s essentially a really good, creamy dark chocolate bar with an essence of something added in–I can’t tell what it is, it’s not explicitly nutty, but something is there–like a vibe of traditional Dubai-based filling, which, honestly, is a lot compared to other bars on this list.

Lastly, the packaging is nice: a cute box and thick inner plastic.

Released in May 2025. Found late November 2025 at Trader Joe’s.

Chocoyoco Habibi Dubai Chocolate

Score: 7 / 10

Review

I can absolutely see this as no more than a regular, semi-crunchy, and filled Hershey chocolate bar. The flavor profile and sweetness are nearly identical, and unfortunately, that layer of soft, crunchy ganache-ish filling doesn’t contribute anything truly meaningful aside from some contrast to the soft-shelled chocolate bar. Again, think thinly filled Hershey chocolate bar–no pistachio or any other flavor here–likely overwhelmed by the sweeter chocolate.

A good chocolate bar–but Dubai, nuttiness, any real nuance? Nope.

Release Date

I’m unsure of an exact release date. Found mid-November 2025 at Ocean State Job Lot.

Just the Fun Part Dubai Cones

Score: 7.25 / 10

Review

Largest filled waffle cones I’ve ever seen! Seriously, the cones are large, and sport something a little softer (yet still crunchy and thick) shell — it’s very graham-cracker and cookie-like! Flavor-wise, there is a light buttery cone taste.

The filling has a semi-sweet milk chocolate top with the bottom half being an even softer green ganache-like substance. The milk chocolate is your typical, smooth and creamy tasting chocolate, but unfortunately, aside from texture, the pistachio bottom doesn’t do much for me. It provides additional pillowy softness; however, flavor-wise, it’s fairly plain.

Overall, these do taste and have a mouthfeel of a premium-filled waffle cone. Just expect something that leans towards a regular tasting buttery chocolate graham waffle instead of traditional nutty Dubai vibes.

Release Date

One of the first mentions of this dates to April 2025. Found mid-November at Aldi.

Syruvia Dubai Flavored Sugar Free Coffee Syrup

Score: 7 / 10

Review

I’ve had plenty of sugar-free syrups from all different brands, and truth be told, Syruvia and its Dubai flavor are a first for me. I didn’t know what to expect, especially since many Dubai-based snacks and treats have been letdowns.

Trying this by itself using a little spoon, I notice the chocolate tastes cheap and dull, and there seems to be some equally light nut flavor alongside it. I didn’t like it… until I threw some into my coffee.

The taste was definitely better. You could taste the chocolate as well as a pistachio-like flavor. Both are about equally represented and don’t come across as more artificial or fake than any other brand with chocolate or nutty-based syrup offerings. Basically, in a way, it’s pretty average and tasty enough to enjoy, especially if you want something with flavor notes of regular chocolate and pistachio.

Release Date

While I can’t find an exact release date, mentions of this date date back to mid-2025. Found early October 2025 on Amazon.

Rolling Pin Dubai Style Chocolate

Score: 7.25 / 10

Review

The primary flavor here is a semi-dark, moderately sweet, non-bitter dark chocolate. It’s a very pleasant, smooth, and milky chocolate, and if I had to compare its sweetness, it’s a little less than Hershey’s, but only by a smidge. Aside from that, there’s a very, very light, vague nuttiness, no explicit pistachio or anything else really. Essentially, a good piece of quality chocolate, not really a crazy Dubai treat or a strongly flavored snack per se.

The composition is deceptive. The supposed large amount of filling seems chunky, but what you mostly get is a thick, semi-crunchy shell and bits of tiny, soft-crunchy pieces in the center in a ganache-like form that feel like coconut shreds. The shell and crunchy shreds are nice, though nothing to write home about.

Release Date

The earliest mention I can find of this dates back to early June 2025. Found at Target in early October 2025.

Mieszko S.A. Amoretta Dubai Style Chocolate Truffle Balls

Score: 7.25 / 10

Review

I immediately noticed that the filling is a soft, thick, uniform, and smooth pale green ganache paste. The truffle is stuffed with it, as the shell is pretty thin, sporting a snappy crunch. Overall, it’s creamy and easy to bite through, and with the crunchy thin shell, it’s a nice combo.

The taste, interestingly, is mostly a very light, cheap-tasting milk chocolate. I’ve had similar-tasting chocolate at dollar stores, such as Palmer, though this isn’t quite as sweet. It essentially has this chalky-like taste alongside its chocolate–not bad, but it’s clearly not a premium or even average quality chocolate by any means.

Also, the filing is lightly sugary and mostly unflavorful. There doesn’t seem to be a discernible flavor to it, so what you get with the entire truffle–despite the filling being generous and thick– is a mildly sweet chocolate taste. In fact, if you blindfolded me, I would have guessed this is a cheaper tasting milk chocolate-based truffle with some sort of lightly sugary, plain creamy center.

Overall, these come across as cheap; however, they aren’t bad by any means. It’s basically just a decent chocolately treat with a good mouthfeel from the shell and filling.

I’m unsure of a release date. Found at Ocean State Job Lot in early October 2025.
