Oreo Fluff

Updated:

Yield: Large Bowl of Fluff

Ingredients

  • 24 Oreos
  • 16 oz thawed Cool Whip
  • 4 oz softened cream cheese
  • 3 oz instant vanilla (or other flavor) pudding
  • 1½ cup whole milk

Utensils

  • Large serving bowl
  • Plastic wrap or bowl lid
  • Spatula or spoon
  • Mixing utensil like a whisk or fork

Let’s Make It!

  1. Crush and break apart oreos (~3-5 pieces per oreo).
  2. Mix together cream cheese and milk until cream cheese is dissolved.
  3. Add vanilla pudding.
  4. Add oreos.
  5. Briefly mix, you are just coating the oreos with the mix.
  6. Add cool whip and gently fold in using spatula for about a minute. Do not overdo this or it could deflate, it doesn’t have to be perfectly combined!
  7. Serve as is or cover bowl and refrigerate overnight (optional but preferred). Store in fridge for up to several days.

Notes & Alternatives

  • Using different varieties of cookies and instant pudding mixes can give you a lot of different fluffs!
  • Adding a few tablespoons of cocoa powder will make a chocolate fluff.
  • Additional mixins could be marshmallows, cookie dough, candies, etc.

History

  • I came up with this idea after visiting a buffet in Providence, Rhode Island where one of their desserts was an cookie-like fluff. It took several visits to figure out exactly what it was!
