Yield: Many cake balls
Ingredients
- jar of Nutella
- box of strawberry cake mix (and its needed ingredients)
- 1-2 cups strawberry or vanilla frosting
- 1-2 cups strawberry or vanilla candy melts (for dipping)
- 1 cup sweetened coconut flakes
- other decorations (optional)
Utensils
- mixing bowl
- cake bake pan
- bowl for candy melts
- parchment paper
Let’s Make It!
- Bake the cake according to the directions.
- When done baking, let cool.
- Crumble and combine cake and 1 cup of frosting together in mixing bowl. If the consistency is crumbly, add more frosting.
- Scoop many 1-2 tsps of Nutella onto a parchment lined dish. Place in freezer for 20-30 minutes.
- Take Nutella out of freezer. Shape cake around each piece and round them into balls using your hand and palm. Place onto a parchment lined dish.
- Place cake balls in fridge or freezer for 30 minutes (optional but preferred).
- Put sweetened coconut into a bowl.
- Place the candy melts in a bowl and microwave for a few seconds, stir, repeat until melted.
- Take the cake balls and dunk into the melted candy melts. Use a fork to take out, tap against the inside side of the bowl to get off excess.
- Roll each cookie ball into the bowl of coconut.
- Place the balls onto a parchment lined dish.
- Enjoy! Place in the microwave for 20-30 seconds for a warm cake ball!
- Store in fridge for up to 4-5 days.
