Easter Peep Cars

Yield: Several peep cars

Ingredients

  • box of Twinkies
  • 6-12 Peeps
  • small package of mini Oreos
  • small package of pretzels (any kind)
  • round decorating candies (M&Ms, buttons, etc.)
  • white frosting
  • edible glue (optional; I used Wilton Dab-N-Hold)

Utensils

  • parchment paper
  • container or plate to put finished products

Let’s Make It!

  1. Cut a 1-inch square hole through the middle of each Twinkie. Place Twinkies onto parchment paper.
  2. Using a little bit of frosting, ice the hole, making sure to put a thin layer of frosting on the front, center, and back.
  3. Separate Oreos from their creme centers. Remove cremes. Dab edible glue or frosting onto the back of each.
  4. Place 4 Oreo cookie halves onto the front and back of each Twinkie to make the wheels.
  5. Cut a small portion of the bottom of each Peep.
  6. Place each Peep inside the car with the pretzel as the steering wheel.
  7. Using edible glue or frosting, dab the backs of the round decorating candies and place them to form lights or decorations.
  8. Done!
