Freshness Guaranteed Mystery Flavor Frosted Sugar Cookies

Score: 7 / 10

Review

A fairly sweet, crisp apple taste, coupled with the composition of a Lofthouse cookie. The cookie part itself is on the drier side, a bit crumbly, and slightly buttery, which helps tone down the sweetness of the frosting; this frosted topping is where all of the flavor and sweetness come from. Unfortunately, the frosting itself does feel on the cheaper side, as it’s a bit stiff and thin.

I’m surprised they nailed the flavor so well. It doesn’t taste artificial, weird, or anything like that; it feels like a clear and pronounced sugary sweet apple crisp flavor. I did try biting into the icing directly, and I did notice some bitterness, though, again, the buttery cookie helps balance it out–you won’t even notice!

Mystery solved!

Release Date

Freshness Guaranteed Pumpkin Cake Bites

Score: 5.5 / 10

Review

Very mild tasting to say the least. There’s some sweetness accompanied by a minute flavor of creamy pumpkin. Nothing really stands out, and it more or less tastes like a piece of cake that needed more sugar.

Texture-wise, it leaves more to be desired. It’s thick, though, a little dry for my tastes, which is surprising because many of their cake bites are usually more moist than this. The piece of cream cheese adds a hint of creaminess to the flavor, but doesn’t contrast enough with the already soft cake to make much of a difference. Not to mention the dollop of cream cheese is simply too little.

These feel cheap overall. More flavor, sugary, and moistness are needed!

Freshness Guaranteed Apple Cider Cake Bites

Score: 7.25 / 10

Review

Surprisingly, it was quite moist, as if it were almost underbaked, in a good way, though. It’s reasonably dense for a cake bite. There are also crumbly, soft, moist pieces on top, which add to the experience.

The flavor is pleasant; however, it feels lacking as it’s very mild tasting. It’s essentially a super-light apple cider taste, with no signs of bitterness and a small amount of sweetness. Not enough cinnamon or any of the nuanced flavor that apple cider often offers.

To me, this is a very inoffensive treat that most will enjoy but likely not fall in love with. The flavors are there, though somewhat muted; the sweetness is okay, and the moist texture of these is a standout.

Walmart Freshness Guaranteed Pumpkin Sandwich Cookies

Score: 7.25 / 10

Review

These are such an inoffensive cookie. Really, I expected something so much sweeter, but instead was met with a more mildly sweet (but sweet enough) cookie. The flavor is an authentic pumpkin, not too strong or bold, and the cream adds a touch more sweetness, pumpkin flavor, and a good amount of creaminess.

Everything about this is soft, lightly chewy, and thick. It’s so easy to bite through—the cookie is almost too soft, though. However, I appreciate that it has a homemade, organic pumpkin feel to it. Lastly, I do think the inner cream is, in fact, too airy and could be a lot thicker.

Freshness Guaranteed Mini Apple Pie

Score: 5.5 / 10

Review

This thing is packed with an apple-like thick goo. So much so that the bottom of the crust is super wet and soft while the outside edges remain dry and crunchy. There are also chunks of extremely soft apple throughout it! Basically, the mouthfeel is good; however, the flavor… not so much.

It’s an extremely mild, artificial-like, not very sweet apple. It tastes super processed, and simply put, isn’t sweet or authentic enough to mimic a real apple pie. It’s also missing a lot of the scents, like cinnamon and other spices.

Overall, it tastes as cheap as its price. At the very least, it has a good, soft, and chunky mouthfeel when you bite

Freshness Guaranteed Mini Pumpkin Pie

Score: 5.25 / 10

Review

This pie, to me, is bland, lightly sweet, and somewhat bitter all at the same time. It just feels off for a pumpkin pin; perhaps it’s the artificialness? The flavor isn’t right—it feels fake and held back. Where are the traditional pumpkin pie seasonings and sweetness? Anyway, while I’m not sure either way, the flavor isn’t all that great, even for a store-bought pie.

The texture definitely feels artificial—it’s soft and a little thick, but it feels too uniform and fake, like it was a sludge they quickly put into a pie crust—it kind of reminds me of cat food. Not to mention, the entire thing feels dry, especially the super-duper extra dry crumbly crust that breaks apart when you cut into it.

Unfortunately, the flavor and composition of this pie feel too cheap and fake to me. Whipped cream helps, but not much.

Freshness Guaranteed Mystery Flavor Cake Donuts

Score: 7 / 10

Review

The first thing I notice is the composition. It’s a mix between a thin cake and a donut, becoming what is essentially a semi-moist, lightly chewy, although kind of airy donut-cake thing. If you’ve ever had a mochi donut, it’s similar to that, but these feel cheaper. In my opinion, it could definitely be more dense—they feel small and too easy to bite right through. Then again, these aren’t being sold as some glamorous premium product either—as I said, it’s on the airy, cheaper-feeling side.

The taste, to me, is mostly sugar with a backdrop of a pleasantly sweet lemon. It’s not at all punchy, though; I think most would guess it’s something around a lemon-like flavor. Perhaps a mild lemon cake loaf flavor? Either way, it’s pleasant and not sharp like other lemons. Mystery solved?

Freshness Guaranteed Birthday Cake Iced Mini Donuts

Score: 7 / 10

Review

Can we stop advertising vanilla as birthday cake, just for once? Ugh.

This is nearly identical to any regular vanilla frosted donut, albeit in a smaller size. With that comes more sweetness, as not only is the icing reasonably thick here, but also the ratio of icing to dough is skewed towards the icing, making it have a sugary kick. It’s bold and clearly vanilla, not birthday cake.

Flavor aside, it feels a smidge more dense than most other regular-sized donuts. The doughnut itself doesn’t have a lot of flavor, and that’s perhaps because the icing comes out so strong with the sweetness—I didn’t notice any flavor from the doughnut, at least.

Release Date

While I can’t find a release date, the earliest mention I found dates back to August 2023. Found mid-August 2025.

Freshness Guaranteed Chocolate Eclair Pie

Score: 7 / 10

Review

The flavor of this pie reminds me of a Boston cream from Dunkin’. The crust is very flaky, crumbly, and thick, while the inside is a mildly sweet and extra creamy traditional yellow éclair cream.

Basically, these are a lot like eclairs but more flaky due to a crust instead of a doughy bread. I do wish the chocolate were a little more impactful because those swirls don’t do as much as they should.

Release Date

Spicy Pineapple, S’mores, and Chocolate Eclair pies were all released around July 2025. Found late July 2025.

Freshness Guaranteed Spicy Pineapple Pie

Score: 5.75 / 10

Review

This is mostly crust, and I actually really like this crust! It’s pretty thick and soft, though a bit dry and crumbly. However, the inside is super gooey and moist, and it works well with it. Basically, what I’m saying is the composition is really chunky, and I love it!

The taste is a very mild pineapple with an equally mild spicy kick. To be honest, it’s not very flavorful, and to me, the texture is what carries it. Something about the chunky crust and gooey sticky texture is so good!

But yeah, they need to work on that flavor…

Freshness Guaranteed S’mores Pie

Score: 7.25 / 10

Review

What an interesting filling in more ways than one. First, it’s supposed to be a white marshmallow cream, and it more or less accomplishes its mission. The biggest letdown is that it isn’t as sweet as a marshmallow, let alone other marshmallow-tasting treats. The flavor is there; the sweetness isn’t.

The texture of this pie is dry and crumbly, and the filling is kind of on the thinner side. I still like the filling, though, because it feels like a mix of frosting and thick cream. Its mouthfeel is good. Notably, it’s not at all sticky like a marshmallow.

This is my favorite of the three pies. It somewhat resembles a lightly sweet s’more that needs more chocolate, but still gets the job done.

Freshness Guaranteed 7UP Cream Cheese Mini Cake Bites

Score: 7.5 / 10

Review

Unlike the other soda-themed cake bites Walmart released, these have cream cheese—and it’s especially noticeable. This is because the flavors and sweetness are already light, so what you get is an equally balanced, lightly sweet, lemony-cheesecake-tasting cake piece. It’s not a 7UP flavor, nor does it have any soda vibes, and interestingly, it seems to be missing the hint of lime that the other 7UP treats have. Don’t get me wrong, either; none of this is bad—these are pretty darn good and would likely have been worse if they were fully in line with 7UP flavors.

Lastly, each piece is reasonably thick and moist and has a good mouthfeel, especially since it has a layer of soft cream cheese. These do seem better than the other cake bites, texture-wise.

Release Date

Released in early July 2025 as part of Walmart’s Freshness Guaranteed bakery lineup. The launch features four soda-flavored treats: Dr Pepper, Hawaiian Punch, Orange Crush, and 7 Up. These are available as mini cake bites, bundt cakes, and cupcakes. It also includes PB&J-inspired items such as PB&J bars, grape jelly cupcakes, and PB&J bites. Finally, the lineup offers s’mores-flavored goodies, including mini donuts, muffins, frosted cookies, and cupcakes. See sources here and here). Found July 2025.

Freshness Guaranteed Girl Scout S’mores Cupcakes

Score: 7.75 / 10

Review

So, this has your boring, cheaply-feeling vanilla cupcake base where all of the flavor comes from the frosting. And, well, this frosting is delicious! It’s very sugary sweet with a marshmallow-like taste and feel. I say “feel” as a sort of caveat because while it’s thin, it does seem like they used their typical cheap frosting and mixed in a few marshmallows to make it slightly “stretchy” and marshmallow-like.

In addition, there are chocolate bits and pieces of graham cracker, which mostly add a tiny crunch and nuance to the composition. For the most part, though, any flavor they contribute is completely overwhelmed by the sweet frosting.

In summary, are these s’mores? It’s missing a distinct graham cracker taste and a bold chocolate. Perhaps if they made the cupcake taste like a graham cracker and added larger chocolate chunks, then we could consider it as such. Until then, this is simply a sweet, marshmallow-tasting cupcake.

Freshness Guaranteed Hawaiian Punch Fruit Juicy Red Cake Bites

Score: 7 / 10

Review

These have to be sweet, right? It’s Hawaiian Punch, after all! But, nope! They fall more on the mild side and have an equally light and enjoyable fruity-like taste. Compared to its advertised flavor, it just doesn’t compare. It’s nowhere near as artificial or sweet as the drink itself. Instead, these should have been rebranded as fruity cake bites!

The texture is pretty standard: reasonably thick, moist, and soft. Nothing really to write home about.

Freshness Guaranteed Grape Jelly Cupcakes

Score: 6 / 10

Review

A plain, cheap vanilla cupcake with very sweet, artificial candy jelly frosting. I’m not sure if I dig the frosting too much—something about it just tastes odd to me—and that’s coming from someone who loves jelly! It’s like they combined a load of sugar with an artificial grape jelly flavoring. Unfortunately, that pretty much sums up this cupcake, as all the flavor comes from that frosting.

The texture is your typical store-bought cupcake: fairly thin overall and cheap-feeling.

Freshness Guaranteed S’mores Mix

Score: 7.5 / 10

Review

Pretty much like regular s’mores, but in a convenient, smaller form. A smooth chocolate shell encompasses mini marshmallows and graham crackers. The chocolate and marshmallows provide the sweetness, coming across as moderately sweet—about the same as a normal s’more. They’re soft, while the graham cracker, while small, provides some light complementary crunches.

So yeah, you can make your own s’mores or buy these. The taste, sweetness, and texture are nearly identical (except one is smaller, obviously). I also wouldn’t mind throwing these in ice cream or even baked goods because of how convenient they could be as toppings or mix-ins!

Freshness Guaranteed Crush Orange Flavored Cupcakes

Score: 7.5 / 10

Review

Wow, these are orangey sweet! They remind me a lot of those Orange Hostess Cupcakes if you’ve ever had them. Basically, a lot of sugar and a lot of artificial (but not too off-putting or weird) orange flavoring. Both the cupcake itself (which is also orange) and the frosting have this orange flavor; granted, the frosting is exceedingly sweet and more sugary.

This sort of resembles the Crush Orange flavor, granted, just the sweet orange part, not the soda or carbonated side. In a way, these are simply just an orangey sugar bomb. That aside, the composition of these feels cheap and thin, although I do appreciate the bits of sugar crystals on top!

Freshness Guaranteed Hawaiian Punch Fruit Juicy Red Flavored Cupcakes

Score: 7.5 / 10

Review

The cupcake itself is so pleasant! A very mild sweetness coupled with an equally light fruity-like taste… but then hits the frosting.

This frosting has that fruit-like taste, too, and then also mixes in a whole bunch of sugar on top of it. What you get is a very sugary-tasting, sweet cupcake with an essence of fruit. Hawaiian Punch? Not really. Its flavor feels different here and is more akin to a sweet fruit-tasting treat instead of an artificial drink.

Like many other store-bought cupcakes, these feel cheap and on the thinner side overall.

Freshness Guaranteed Dr Pepper Mini Bundt Cakes

Score: 7.25 / 10

Review

There’s a clear Dr Pepper flavor, but this time it seems like there’s a cherry mixed in with it—so, yeah, basically a cherry Dr Pepper. You can also taste the soda-y vibes, too, although they don’t come across as unpleasant, just different.

These Bundt cakes are also sweet, reasonably thick, and especially moist—wet, even. I appreciate this texture, and with the taste, it’s not a bad sweet treat and is pretty unique overall.

Freshness Guaranteed 7UP Mini Bundt Cakes

Score: 7.5 / 10

Review

An extremely moist (pretty much wet) sweet mini bundt cake. Its flavor resembles a refreshing lemon with perhaps just an essence of lime—basically, a lot like a 7Up but without any of the weird soda or carbonated flavor and a lesser lime flavor. And going back to the wettish texture—it’s, of course, very soft and easy to bite through, making it a pleasant treat to eat.

Overall, it’s pretty much a sweet lemony cake. If you gave me this blindfolded, I wouldn’t have guessed it was 7Up whatsoever!

Freshness Guaranteed Dr Pepper Cake Bites

Score: 5.75 / 10

Review

Out of all the Dr Pepper-themed treats here, this is the most Dr Pepper-like. It has a near-identical taste and sweetness level—you can even taste the carbonated soda “flavor.” Really, it’s like they put Dr Pepper into cake form—kind of weird, honestly. The flavor is good, although quite unique and perhaps not something I’d buy again (even though I love Dr Pepper!). It’s just kind of… odd.

Taste aside, the texture is your standard soft and moist cake piece. Nothing too standoutish here.

Freshness Guaranteed Crush Orange Mini Bundt Cakes

Score: 7.75 / 10

Review

Crush Orange soda? No way! These are very sugary sweet with an essence of orange flavor—nothing here resembles a soda flavor, let alone the strong and punchy Crush drink. Basically, if you want a sugar rush—and I mean it, this has a strong sugary taste—and like candy orange flavors, this is absolutely for you.

Flavors aside, the bundt cakes are very moist, soft, and reasonably thick.

Freshness Guaranteed Smores Mini Iced Brownie Party Platter

Score: 8.5 / 10

Review

The texture and taste of these are amazing! Like, the brownie is perfect! Thick, moist, soft, slightly chewy, and dense, it makes for such a darn good eating experience. Then, you have a thick, premium-feeling dollop of frosting on top, which elevates it even further. I really can’t get over how good the texture is here; it genuinely feels homemade!

Equally so, the flavor is spot on. Like the texture, it actually kind of tastes homemade using premium brownie mix. It’s between mild and moderately sweet, and the taste is an authentic, semi-dark chocolate. And like I mentioned before, the frosting boosts it up—it’s the same here. It’s pretty sweet, not artificial, and has a high-tier-tasting vanilla-marshmallow taste.

The only thing missing from these is the graham cracker. And you know what, I’ll be frank here—I think it would bring it down. Already, the texture and flavor of these are immaculate—and now that I look closer, there are a few specks of cracker on top, so screw it, these are s’mores—I’ll let it slide!

Freshness Guaranteed 7UP Flavored Cupcakes

Score: 7.25 / 10

Review

These cupcakes are a lot like store-bought regular vanilla cupcakes with a nice twist of 7Up—a mix of lemon and lime. It’s not super powerful or anything like that; most of the flavor is vanilla with a soothing, complementary background of a creamy lemon-lime. Interestingly, the cake itself is a light vanilla 7Up flavor, while the frosting is a sweeter version of just that!

Overall, they’re your typical store-bought cupcakes, sort of cheap-feeling and thin, but still decently moist and soft. It all comes across as moderately sweet, with the frosting giving it most of the sugary kick. It’s good, in fact, surprisingly so, especially since it doesn’t have any odd or weird soda-like flavors.

Walmart Freshness Guaranteed Hawaiian Punch Fruit Juicy Red Bundt Cakes

Score: 7.75 / 10

Review

Incredibly soft, moist (wet, even), and red—as if they added too much red dye. However, no dye flavor comes through! Instead, a pleasantly sweet sugary fruit taste shines. To be clear, it’s mostly sugary tasting with a twist of fruit—nothing too fruity or bold here.

Interestingly, I really found it refreshing. It’s not weird or artificial; it somehow all works well. And if I’m being extra frank, I don’t even think this really tastes like Hawaiian Punch necessarily, as that drink is too artificial and punchy! Perhaps the cake tones it down a few notches? Either way, this toned-down (but still sweet) taste would appear to a lot of people.

Just as notably, the texture and mouthfeel are great! These bundt cakes are super soft, practically wet and extraordinarily moist, and an overall pleasant eat, both in terms of the experience and flavor.

Freshness Guaranteed Crush Orange Cake Bites

Score: 7.5 / 10

Review

I expected some overpowering sweetness and synthetic orange flavor; however, this comes off as reasonably refreshing. It has a sweetness level between mild and moderate, with a creamy, mild orangey taste. For me, it definitely reminds me of a refreshing creamsicle.

Also, honestly, if you asked me what these tasted like, I wouldn’t have ever guessed a soda—it doesn’t have any of that carbonated flavor or unauthentic, punchy sweet fruit flavor. So, don’t worry—just don’t look at the label!

The texture is great too: moist, dense, and having some noticeable crumbly pieces at the top, which add to the experience.

These mini cakes, in my opinion, would be a crowd pleaser. They’re inoffensive, thick, and feel semi-premium. A definite summer flavor!

Freshness Guaranteed PB&J Nuggets

Score: 7 / 10

Review

These have such an interesting texture, and what they give you needs some explanation.

Okay, so when you bite in, you’re hit with several layers of combinations of semi-crunchy and airy graham cracker with semi-soft, solid peanut filling intertwined in it. Both the jelly (purple) and peanut (orange) pieces have this, which makes the peanut pieces extra peanutty and the jelly ones more balanced. In particular, the jelly pieces’ fruit flavor is much lighter compared to the peanut flavor represented throughout all of these.

So: it’s a lot of graham cracker, a moderately sweet peanut, and an essence of any jelly or fruit flavor. I can’t even tell what kind of jelly they’re trying to represent. Maybe it’s a watered-down grape? I’m not sure.

Either way, they’re pretty good and do somewhat resemble PB&J, though the jelly sort is simply too light.

Freshness Guaranteed S’mores Frosted Sugar Cookies

Score: 7.5 / 10

Review

Reminds me of a knockoff Loft House cookie. However, it’s not as sweet or flavorful, and the texture feels just a smidge more grainy and less soft. Still, it’s pretty sweet, and the cookie’s texture is mostly your typical artificial store-bought sugar cookie: breaks apart easily, somewhat dry, and decently dense.

The taste of the cookie itself is a semi-sweet artificial graham flavor, with the cream on top providing a lot of the sweetness. This frosting doesn’t really taste like marshmallow; more so, it’s like an artificially sweet vanilla.

In total, you have an artificially flavored, soft, vanilla graham cracker cookie with an equally artificial and noticeably sweet frosting. The big thing that’s missing is obviously any chocolate flavor, as well as marshmallow.

Freshness Guaranteed Dr Pepper Flavored Cupcakes

Score: 7.5 / 10

Review

After biting in, I could immediately taste a soda-like taste that resembled a sweet Dr Pepper. Surprisingly, it works well, and I specifically like that it doesn’t have an annoying carbonated or weird bitter or soda taste.

It’s hard to explain, but basically, the cupcake itself does have that “soda” flavor, not coming across too strong or awkward, having a light and pleasant Dr Pepper taste—likely because the cupcake dough itself dilutes it.

Much of the sweetness comes from the super-sugary, soft, overpowering frosting, which goes very well with the Dr Pepper flavor of the cake itself. It too (the frosting) seems to have a little bit of its own similar soda flavor, but for the most part, it seems to be there just to add a bunch of extra sugar.

Despite sounding like a weird flavor, these cupcakes just work. Much of the flavor and sweetness comes from the frosting, and overall, these cupcakes are sweet, so if you’re into sweet and sugary treats and occasionally drink soda, I think you’ll enjoy these!

The biggest downside is that these cupcakes feel like your regular, cheap store-brand line. Not terrible quality, but absolutely not great either. They’re kind of thin and soft, the frosting feels artificial and equally thin, and well, it all just feels cheap-ish.

Freshness Guaranteed S’mores Mini Bundt Cakes

Score: 8.25 / 10

Review

An interesting combination of textures, to say the least. The cake itself feels thick and moist, especially the bottom for some reason, as if it were sitting on a sugary syrup. It’s mildly sweet with a clear graham taste, with much of the sweetness coming from everything else. Overall, it feels more on the premium end for store-bought bundt cakes.

Then you have these stiff streaks of sweet dark chocolate and white cream along the sides that break apart as you bite in, providing an interesting contrasting texture. Aside from their composition, they also give you a background of chocolate and additional sweetness, working well with the graham cracker-tasting cake itself. Lastly, a dollop of sweet, sugary, artificial marshmallow-like tasting, stretchy frosting sits directly in the center, which is great to dig into after you’ve sampled everything else this cake offers!

These Bundt cakes are good and have a nice vibe of s’mores—just a vibe though; if they wanted to go full s’more, additional chocolate and more authentic marshmallow frosting would be appreciated.

Freshness Guaranteed Unicorn Cotton Candy Cake

Score: 8.25 / 10

Review

Wow, this has a good chunk of frosting—I love it! Really, the layer of frosting on the top and sides is thicker than what’s let on. It comes across as reasonably thick and soft, although it’s clearly artificial, but still pleasant to bite through. The flavor is mostly sugary sweet with a hint of cotton candy and a non-distracting dye-like taste. In terms of sweetness, interestingly, it’s not as sweet as some store-bought frostings, but it’s still on the sweeter side overall. Further, the large amount of sprinkles adds further soft-crunchy complexity to the texture.

Notably, the frosting brings most of the flavor, as it takes up the bulk of the cake, and the cake itself is, well, on the plainer side.

Speaking of the cake, it’s a regular-tasting, boxed cake mix-feeling yellow cake. It’s good enough: moist, semi-dense, and just right. Sandwiched between the two layers of yellow cake is a decent amount of blue frosting running through the center, which adds even more to the already frosting-generous treat.

Overall, it’s a good cake, especially for the price. I absolutely enjoy how much frosting there is; however, my only complaint is that the taste runs on the regular sugar-tasting side instead of actual cotton candy.

While I can’t find an exact release date, reviews date back to around May 2024. Found June 2025.

Freshness Guaranteed Watermelon Frosted Sugar Cookies

Score: 6.75 / 10

Review

This is so unexpectedly refreshing! Looking at these, I expected a Lofthouse welcome—you know, those sugar cookies in similar packaging that are blazingly sweet and artificial. But these aren’t even close! The sweetness falls between semi-sweet and moderate and is more or less unoffending yet satisfying enough at the same time. It kind of is, well, like a watermelon in terms of sweetness.

The flavor is also reasonably accurate, and combined with the sugar level, it’s likely the best you can get to watermelon-flavored cookies. Interestingly, the cookie itself and the frosting have the same flavor and sweetness.

In terms of texture, it’s all easy to bite through and dense, and while the cookie and frosting textures do feel artificial-ish, it’s really not distracting. If anything, I did find the cookie part a bit odd—for example, it feels moist, but at the same time, dry. What’s going on here? Bah, I’m really nit-picking, but more or less, it does feel like an artificial sugar cookie—not in a bad way either. Lastly, the frosting is on the stiffer side, dense, and soft—it could be better, but again, like the cookie portion, it definitely feels and behaves like an artificial frosting.

Release Date

Released around mid-May 2025. Found at Walmart in June 2025.

Freshness Guaranteed Apple Cinnamon Iced Mini Donuts

Score: 6.5 / 10

Review

The slightest taste of apple and a hint of cinnamon accompany these. Other than that, these are regular-tasting donuts with a soft, semi-moist texture. None of them tastes different from the other. Overall, while I found them to be less sweet than their other mini donut counterparts and typical donuts, they’re still decent enough.

Release Date

Not sure when this was released. Found December 2024.

Freshness Guaranteed Strawberry Iced Mini Donuts

Score: 7 / 10

Review

Regular, soft donuts with a thin layer of soft strawberry frosting. It’s very normal tasting, nothing out of the ordinary or different than your traditional-tasting donuts. All the flavor comes from the sweet, artificial-tasting strawberry frosting. If you’re into these types of cheap-tasting, sweet donuts, grab them!

Release Date

Likely released around mid-2024, according to reviews. Found August 2024.

Freshness Guaranteed Pumpkin Cake Roll

Score: 8 / 10

Review

This smells strongly of sweet pumpkin. Biting in, the roll itself is a little drier to my liking, though I like its pumpkiny taste. The overly soft inner frosting is very sweet and artificial, and resembles sugary cream cheese. All together, it feels light and almost airy; tasty enough to recommend, however, those sensitive to sweetness might want to steer clear.

Release Date

Released around 2013. Comes around every late summer/fall season. Found August 2024.

Freshness Guaranteed Hershey Chocolate Cake Bites

Score: 7 / 10

Review

Compared to a Hershey chocolate bar, these are slightly darker and less sweet. Overall, it’s more or less just a semi-dark cake. In my opinion, however, it needs some more oomph, perhaps more sugar, to really bring out the chocolate flavor. These pair super well with ice cream or whipped cream!

Release Date

Freshness Guaranteed Caramel Iced Mini Donuts

Score: 8 / 10

Review

Tastes just like a frosted donut you’d find at your typical donut shop. Sweet frosting coupled with a soft-textured donut—it’s so good! The layer of frosting, as advertised, has a tasty salted caramel taste and really makes the donut, well, a salted caramel donut!

Release Date

Released around March 2024. Found June 2024.

Freshness Guaranteed Mini Frosted Donuts

Score: 6 / 10

Review

The taste is decent, nothing crazy or overwhelming. The frosting is fairly thin. The doughnut itself is OK; it could have been a tad sweeter and, well, better.

Release Date

Exclusive to Walmart, not sure when they came out. Found February 2024.

Freshness Guaranteed White Candy Macadamia Nut Cookies

Score: 5.5 / 10

Review

Walmart bakery foods are usually pretty decent; what happened here? Despite looking good and their name sounding amazing, these were bland! The texture was on the drier side but not crumbly, and the bits of nuts and “candy” were flavorless but added a small addition to the composition, at least. Overall, it was semi-sweet with no real discernible flavor. Why have “candy” in your name if it isn’t at all sweet?

Release Date

Not sure when the Walmart Bakery started producing these. Found October 2023.

Freshness Guaranteed Triple Chocolate Tres Leches Cake

Score: 6 / 10

Review

This is not tres leches; this is offensive! It really does seem like they used only whole milk to drown the cake, making it a completely soggy, soupy mess. The top layer is fairly sweet milk chocolate mousse with little, slightly crunchy bits of chocolate. The bottom half is dark chocolate cake, completely overbathed in plain-tasting milk. It’s way too soggy and bland, and it’s nothing like a real tres leches that has different milks and flavors.

Release Date

I’m not sure when this was released, although the latest reviews date back to some time in 2022. Found October 2023.
