Great Value Twist & Shout Double Filled Birthday Cake Cookies
Score: 7.5 / 10
Are these supposed to compete with Birthday Cake Oreos? Because to me, these taste better than even them! These are less artificial and fake, and there’s no bitterness either. It’s a smooth, pretty sweet, and creamy vanilla birthday taste that leans more towards its vanilla side. The cookie part itself is plain and lightly crunchy, and notably, its plainness helps keep the sweet creamy center in check.
Also, these are double stuffed, and I feel this is about the perfect ratio, as any more, it’s either going to be overpowered by the sweet cream or too plain because of the cookie. Oreo, take notes; this is how you do a birthday cake cookie!
Released around mid-April 2025 for a limited time and exclusive to Walmart. Found May 2024.
Great Value Crunchy Churro Twists
Score: 5 / 10
Puffy but still providing a moderate crunch. These come across as more plain than I’d like. The cinnamon and sugar are there, but it’s too light. Also, weirdly, there’s an odd background taste, almost like they picked up flavor from the bag itself. I’ve had substantially better, especially from Taco Bell and other companies.
While I’m not sure of an exact release date, reviews date back to around 2024. Found February 2025.
Great Value Carrot Cake Truffle Treat Kit
Score: 8 / 10
Easy to make, but they don’t give you enough ingredients. To fully coat these with the candy melts and sprinkles, you’re going to need to buy more of these yourself because they don’t give you nearly enough. Aside from that, it’s carrot cake tasting and has a nice combo with the sweet coating and sprinkles. The overall texture is wicked soft and easy to bite through!
Likely released sometime around February 2024, exclusively for the Easter holiday. Found at Walmart May 2024.
Great Value Holiday Speculoos Cookie Butter Bar Mix
Score: 8 / 10
First, these are fully cooked in 18-20 minutes, not 25 like the box states to cook them for. They’re soft and thick, and the taste reminds me of the holidays with its cinnamony, almost gingerbread Christmas spice taste. I’m not sure exactly what the taste is; it’s like a combination of traditional winter holiday flavors and comes off as reasonably sweet. They pair well with a layer of cream cheese frosting, too.
Likely first released in November 2023 for the Christmas holiday season. Found December 2023.
