Bake Shop Apple Pie Bites
Score: 6 / 10

Review
This is mostly a more mildly sweet apple pie in square form—yup, it’s exactly as advertised: gooey, with very soft crumbles on top and an equally soft crust bottom. One thing to note is the sweetness; it’s less than your typical apple pie. Aside from the sweetness level being on the lower side, the biggest difference between this and a regular pie is the crust. Instead, this has a thicker, put-together, graham-like bottom that is much softer and easier to bite through than your typical crunchy crust. It’s like a dessert bar but more airy, and further, is very bland.
What’s missing most about this is, well, the sweetness, as I’ve mentioned. It tastes authentic—you can sort of make out most of the nuanced apple pie flavors, but unfortunately, it’s just not sweet enough for them to all stand out.
More or less, these are squared-off apple pie slices with a different crust and are on the more mild side.

Bake Shop Peanut Butter & Grape Filled Crepes To Go!
Score: 6.5 / 10

Review
I love peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, and this almost hits the mark… almost. The important detail is that these are crepes. So with that, we have a much lighter coating of peanut butter and jelly here—and that’s mostly what it is, a coating of both rolled up. Still, you get both flavors; it’s lightly sweet grape jelly and peanut butter, and it is quite pleasant both in terms of its overall flavors and mouthfeel.
Speaking of mouthfeel, the crepe itself is soft, semi-moist, and does have an earthy/grainy composition. It doesn’t have too much flavor aside from whatever they made it with, and frankly, it does its job just fine by letting the peanut butter and jelly shine!
My take overall is that these are enjoyable and feel very light, especially compared to a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. These definitely make for a good snack! However, personally, I just prefer the stronger, bolder flavors of a regular sandwich with globs of oozing jelly and peanut butter.

While I can’t find an exact release date, the earliest mention I can find dates back to March 2025. Found early August 2025.
Bake Shop Dulce De Leche Sandwich Cookies
Score: 8.25 / 10

Review
I’ve had dulce de leche—a lot of it—and these are absolutely, positively, spot on. Clearly, it’s not caramel; it’s very much authentic dulce de leche riddled throughout this entire cookie, from the cookie itself to the inner frosting. I also love how sweet these are—they’re quite sugary, to say the least, so those sick of sweets may want to think twice!
In terms of texture, the cookie is a little dry and slightly crumbly but soft enough to mostly keep together. It’s tasty, but what drives this cookie is the sandwiched frosting. This frosting is reasonably thick and soft and has a creamy mouthfeel. Its composition is fairly standard, though the flavor isn’t, as it has a super sweet, authentic dulce de leche taste, giving most of the cookie its flavor.
The take-home here is definitely get these if you want dulce de leche cookies. Sure, the cookie’s texture isn’t the best in my opinion, but the overall flavor is so darn delicious and authentic—unless you hate ultra-sweet cookies, then you may want to avoid these!
Release Date
First released September 4, 2024, I noticed they made a return August 6, 2025, as part of Aldi Finds week.
Bake Shop Carrot Cake Sandwich Cookies
Score: 7.25 / 10

Review
Incredibly soft—too much, even. The inside cream is like an airy and thin pillow, which, while nice, does feel a bit cheap as it lacks density. It’s also not too sweet or flavorful; it kind of just has a slight creamy cream cheese hint that makes you ask if it needs more sugar. Most of the flavor comes from the moderately sweet carrot cake cookie itself, which tastes authentic and actually homemade; however, they are on the crumbly side and fall apart.
What I find most interesting is that you can absolutely taste how authentic and real the carrot is, and the overall texture, despite the cookie being on the crumblier side and the frosting feeling too thin, gives me homemade vibes. After all, homemade frosting is usually not overly sweet, and things tend to either fall apart or be perfect—seriously, there never seems to be an in-between!
Release Date
Released March 2024 for the Easter and spring season. Found May 2025.
Bake Shop Lemon Streusel Cake
Score: 8 / 10

Review
Holy moly, this might be the moistest cake I’ve ever had! Compared to Aldi’s other cakes, like the chocolate one, this is even more moist! From the outside to the inside, it almost feels wet, but in a good way! It’s so, so soft and has a sugary sweet, light lemony taste without any punchiness. The sugary glaze and yellow frosting on top add an immediate addition to the sweetness, although it’s only surface level as it’s quite thin. Speaking of only surface level, the streusel doesn’t really add much–perhaps a few super light, crunchy bits? Eh. Anyway, overall, if you want a sweet, extremely moist, light-lemony cake, this is it!
Release Date
Released around late March 2025. Found April 2025.

Bake Shop Triple Chocolate Creme Cake
Score: 7 / 10

Review
There’s a lot of hype for this cheap Aldi cake; is it worth it? I guess. You can almost certainly find similar miniature cakes at most other stores with around the same quality.
To me, it’s too much cake and too little drizzle. The cake is pretty darn moist and spongy but also dense enough not to feel cheap. The top layer of goo and soft chocolate chips doesn’t add much aside from a soft-crunchier texture (specifically from the little chocolate chips). It all comes across as semi-dark and pleasantly sweet. Overall, frankly, if you blindfolded me and put this and a perfectly made dark chocolate boxed chocolate cake mix in front of me, I probably couldn’t tell much of a difference.
This cake pairs well with whipped cream or ice cream. Also, as a side note, it feels and tastes slightly better chilled. Weirdly, it seems to become more dense, almost resembling a super moist brownie.

I’m unsure of an exact release date, although reviews date back several years. Found March 2025.
Bake Shop Kitchen Sink Cookies
Score: 7.25 / 10

Review
First taste: Yup, that’s peanut butter. It’s light but noticeable. They are perfectly sweet, about right, not too much or too little: unoffending. There’s a variety of toppings embedded that add bits of crunch, soft bits, and other textural compositions. In terms of flavor, aside from some peanut butter, I taste some dark chocolate bits, but that’s really about it. The cookie itself is reasonably soft but solid, on the slightly chewier and dry side. Still, it’s tasty, and the texture is good enough.
Release Date
While I’m not sure when this was released, some reviews date back to 2018. Found at Aldi January 2025.
Bake Shop Gingerbread Frosted Sugar Cookies
Score: 6.5 / 10

Review
A thin layer of sugary frosting sits atop a very sweet, gingery cookie. The cookie itself is a little dry. At the very least, unlike Lofthouse cookies, you can taste the flavor despite them being so sweet.
Release Date
Not sure of an exact release date, although these were spotted in December 2024. Found at Aldi December 2025.
Bake Shop Cinnamon Danish
Score: 5.5 / 10

Review
It looks amazing, but the toppings are too thin. It’s mostly a plain, soft, doughy Danish that’s lightly glazed with cinnamon and sugar. It feels cheap, plain, and simply not worth it.
Release Date
Released in early October 2024. Found November 2024.
Bake Shop Pumpkin Pecan Cookies
Score: 7.5 / 10

Review
It’s quite pleasant for a bakery-style cookie. It’s mildly sweet and sports a noticeable, but not overly strong, pumpkin taste, all the while combined with bits of pecans. Together, it’s a nice, unoffending combination that reminds you of fall. I do believe that adding some cream cheese frosting might really elevate these. Texture-wise, they’re soft and slightly chewy, my favorite!
Release Date
Likely released sometime around 2023 or 2024 for the fall season. Found at Aldi October 2024.
Bake Shop Cream Cheese Frosted Pumpkin Sugar Cookies
Score: 7.5 / 10

Review
Light, fluffy, a little dry, and a bit crumbly. This texture almost reminds me of Lofthouse cookies. The cookie itself has a traditional pumpkin pastry taste that comes across as semi-sweet. However, the frosting is sugary sweet with a pumpkiny taste, elevating the entire experience Overall, it’s sweet due to the frosting and has a solid pumpkin flavor.
Likely first released around September/October 2023 for the fall season. These also came back in September 2024. Found October 2024.
Bake Shop Cotton Candy Frosted Cookies
Score: 7.5 / 10

Review
Similar to Lofthouse cookies, but holy moly, these cookies are substantially softer. However, they aren’t as thick feeling. Unfortunately, these aren’t at all cotton candy tasting; instead, the frosting has a super sweet, sugary flavor. Then again, isn’t that what cotton candy is? Also, weirdly, the bottom of these cookies peel.
Release Date
Not sure of the exact release date. Found early July 2024.
Bake Shop Pumpkin Snickerdoodle Cookies
Score: 8 / 10

Review
Wow, these are so thick, chewy, and moist. These cookies, from outside to in, remind me almost of a homemade pumpkin roll; you literally get that pumpkiny texture. I just love it! In terms of sweetness, it’s decently sweet, and there’s also a bold, authentic pumpkin taste. If anything, these need cream cheese frosting!
Release Date
This is an Aldi exclusive product. Likely released for the fall season. Found November 2023.
