This snack review has a comparison of Tim Tam Original Vs. Classic Dark, and a review of: Milka Oreo Bar, Crown Toasted Coconut Macaroons, McDonald’s Peanut Butter Crunch McFlurry, and Dunkin’s Chocolate Frosted Coffee Roll. Out of all of these, the most disappointing was the McDonald’s McFlurry as it didn’t really taste as advertised. However, despite not tasting like coffee, the Dunkin’ Frosted Coffee Roll was so sweet, I had to give it a high score.

A pretty sweet, but not overly so, chocolate biscuit bar. A think milk chocolate coating surrounds a soft and crunchy biscuit where between that, another small layer of soft chocolate mousse filling is centered there. This filling isn’t too noticable but it does add a small complimentary texture. Overall, a pretty chocolatey biscuit.
Classic Dark
A bit less sweet than the Original, these also have more of a semi-dark taste coming from the outside chocolate all the way to the insides. Textures are the same. If you aren’t into sweet things, you will likely prefer this one instead.

Milka Oreo Chocolate Bar

A very soft, fairly sweet milk chocolate bar with a good amount of sort of sweet, soft cream on the inside. This cream has a good amount of Oreo bits which add a light crunch here and there. The overall quality is a little higher than your average chocolate bar and makes for a pretty solid cookies n’ cream type candy.
Crown Toasted Coconut Macaroons
Score: 6.5 / 10
Like a typical store bought macaroon. It isn’t premium by any means. Instead, it’s a standard, fairly sweet macaroon with a light, not too artificial coconut taste. Texture is soft, thick, and a little chewy. If anything, I wish the coconut flavor was a bit stronger.
These may have been around for almost 100 years as one of Crown Candy’s first products. Found at Dollar Tree.
Mcdonald’s Peanut Butter Crunch McFlurry

What makes a McFlurry are the contents, and for this, it just doesn’t do it justice. The fairly crunchy “peanut butter” bits taste more like plain crackers if anything. They’re hardly sweet and there’s only a hint of peanut butter. This is just a semi-sweet plain vanilla ice cream with some bland crunchy bits. If you love Reese’s or peanut butter snacks like me, this will be a big disappointment for you.
Dunkin’s Donuts Chocolate Frosted Coffee Roll

I’ve never thought Dunkin’s Coffee Rolls really tasted of any strong coffee, this one included. For this roll specifically, most of the coffee flavor is overshadowed by the sweetness of both the sugary glaze on the roll and the semi-thick super soft chocolatey frosting on top of that. This chocolatey frosting melts quickly even at fairly cool temperatures which can either makes a gooey treat or an annoying mess. Interestingly, this is even sweeter than most of the donuts they have, making it a must try for sweets lovers.
I’m not sure when their Coffee Rolls were released but I do know they are occasionally frosted with chocolate or even other flavors at times depending on location. While some ask if they’ve been discontinued, I’ve noticed that it all depends on location.
