Ranking & Reviewing Hormbles Chormbles Protein Candy Bars

Reviewing and ranking the flavors of all of the Hormbles Chormbles Protein Candy Bars I’ve tried to find the best and worst tasting ones!

Overall Review & Verdict

Protein candy bar? Well, they definitely look and feel like one. They’re thin and in the exact shape of a snappy, crunchy, regular candy bar, except these have protein!

Each one has little crunchy rice embedded pieces, which help aid in a contrast when you bite into it. Other than that, they do taste like generic candy bars. Not too sweet, nothing artificial or protein-like–just more or less generic thin candy bars.

Honestly, I find them too thin and overall generically plain, even as a candy bar; give me a more fulfilling protein bar!

Flavor Ranking

1. Salted Fudge

The better older brother of the Milk Chocolate flavor. This bar is darker and has a hint of bitterness, while also providing more depth to the chocolate itself. Interestingly, while still at about the same level of sweetness as Milk Chocolate, it’s still able to provide a darker, flavorful, fudgey experience.

2. Peanut Butter

This bar has a light orange color with white and dark specs throughout it. It’s lightly crunchy and creamy, and biting in, yields an authentic, semi-sweet peanut taste. In terms of flavor and sugar levels, it’s comparable in sweetness to regular jarred sugary peanut butters, and it effectively captures the flavor profile—while also providing some rice-like crunch. I would have liked to see some additional flavor paired with the peanut, though.

3. Milk Chocolate

A regular, thin-looking chocolate bar with a few Rice Krispies-like pieces spread throughout. It’s moderately sweet, with a milk chocolate flavor and a lightly crunchy texture; however, it honestly tastes pretty generic and boring.
