Moser Roth Chocolate Mousse Filled: Dark Chocolate Creme and Orange, and Chocolate and White Chocolate Delice Truffle Filled
Scores:
Chocolate Creme: 6.5 / 5
Orange: 7 / 10
Chocolate Delice Truffle: 7.5 / 10
White Chocolate Delice Truffle: 7 / 10

Note: Above room temperature, these already start to get very soft, flimsy, and nearly melt, especially the Truffle ones. Really, it becomes an awful experience! Be careful! Keep them cool!
That aside, what all of these have in common is the crunchy shell that nicely breaks apart when biting into a piece. It’s really nice and complements the soft inner textures.
Chocolate Creme: The entire bar has the same flavor, more or less. It’s a decently sweet dark chocolate bar with a soft ganache inside that crunchily breaks apart once you bite in; I love this texture, personally. The shell-to-filling ratio is also awesome, as neither seems too thick nor too thin. However, despite being sweet and having an amazing mouthfeel from the texture, there is a noticeable bitter dark cocoa flavor that, in my opinion, detracts from it all. I guess it just isn’t my thing, but it may be for you if you’re into dark chocolates.
Orange: A punchy, sweet, sticky, gooey orange center is cradled by a complementary dark chocolate shell. It reminds me of other chocolate orange-based candies, except I can’t say I’ve had one explicitly with orange-flavored goo. Both of these flavors here are nice, and even though the orange is punchy, it’s almost kind of refreshing in a way, especially with the dark chocolate.
Chocolate Delice Truffle: The shell is so creamy and soft, and when you bite in, it introduces you to an even creamier, soft ganache truffle layer. It’s a fairly sweet milk chocolate, and it indeed feels like you’re eating an extremely soft milk chocolate truffle in bar form. This is my favorite of the bunch!
White Chocolate Delice Truffle: Like its chocolate counterpart, it’s extremely creamy and has a soft center; however, it doesn’t feel as sweet. This comes across as a bit above semi-sweet with a genuine white chocolate flavor. Overall, more boring than I would have liked, it’s more or less just a decent white chocolate bar. Still, don’t get me wrong, it’s not terrible; I just expected more.
While I’m not sure of an exact release date, I found these at Aldi in April 2025, and at least according to the packaging, they may have been released around that time.

Aldi Specially Selected Belgian Cookie Gift Box
Score: 7.25-7.5 / 10 (range for all)

Overall, these all feel premium. Compared to other chocolate-based biscuit cookies and snacks, these feel a tier above. For example, the biscuit in all of these doesn’t feel cheap and instead comes across as reasonably thick but with a soft enough texture that it doesn’t have an offensive mouthfeel. Additionally, interestingly, they’re surprisingly sweet given the large biscuit cookie part and the mostly thin layers of chocolate.
Overall, these all feel premium. Compared to other chocolate-based biscuit cookies and snacks, these feel a tier above. Additionally, interestingly, they’re surprisingly sweet given the large biscuit cookie part and the mostly thin layers of chocolate.
Mignardise Vanillais: Coming in with double crunchy biscuits, these come across as one of the most crunchy of the bunch, moderately sweet overall, and with a chocolate and light coffee taste. There’s a small layer of hard-ish cream in the middle that throws in some sweetness and nuance to the texture. All together, it’s a great combination—and heck, you don’t even need the coffee with your biscuit this time around because it already provides it!
Ganache Caramel: A thin, soft layer of sweet milk chocolate surrounds a moderately sweet biscuit and a tiny layer of semi-hard caramel filling. Overall, it’s pretty sweet and crunchy, and the shell is soft—great complexity of textures, and it feels premium compared to just plain biscuits dipped in chocolate.
Perle Noire: Fairly dark, sweet, premium-tasting chocolate with an inner, equally dark chocolate ganache. It’s not bitter, which I like; the sweetness keeps it in check. Also, the thin biscuit on the bottom is also very nice and provides it some balance from the ganache. If anything, I wish the ganache was thicker, as it feels on the thinner side.
Ganache Noisette: Right off the bat, there’s a clear and bold hazelnut flavor. Really, it reminds me a lot of Nutella, but it’s even better as it has a tasty and semi-crunchy biscuit too! It’s composed of a thin layer of smooth chocolate over a semi-hard, semi-crunchy biscuit. It’s pretty darn sweet overall, especially considering the shell is so thin.
Mignardise Café Noir: Double biscuit with a soft, creamy, decently sweet white chocolate taste in the center. Unfortunately, I didn’t taste much of a coffee flavor; perhaps it was overwhelmed by the white chocolate? I also did notice it’s the least sweet of the bunch, but still, at the very least, it’s sweet enough.
Perle Blanche: The cream is pretty thin, kind of like a thin, semi-hard, and soft ganache. It tastes like a sweet, creamy white chocolate with a thin, complementary biscuit at the bottom. There’s a light coffee-cocoa-like taste from the outside that complements the white chocolate, which is weird because the box doesn’t advertise this as having any coffee flavor!
I can’t find an exact release date, although reviews date back to around May 2021. There is also evidence that this comes out during certain periods; for example, it was later announced it would be back April 23, 2025. Found at Aldi, May 2025.

Choceur Burnt Caramel Sea Salt and Dark Chocolate Mixed Berry Belgian Filled Bars
Scores:
Burnt Caramel Sea Salt: 7.25 / 10
Dark Chocolate Mixed Berry: 6.75 / 10

Burnt Caramel Sea Salt: This is surprisingly accurate to what’s advertised. It genuinely tastes like you put some sweet caramel in a pan and slid it off. There’s a “burnt” taste to it, but it’s not at all bad; it simply changes the flavor to add a note of something more… “Dark?” I can’t think of the word. But anyway, it all comes across as a pretty sweet, soft chocolate bar with a unique caramel taste I haven’t had before!
Dark Chocolate Mixed Berry: This is quite pleasant, even sophisticated. The dark chocolate is pretty sweet and has a slight bitter note. This is all complemented by the thin berry inner layer, which, to me, comes across as a darker berry–is it a blueberry mix of sorts? Perhaps something like that. Either way, it complements the soft chocolate shell well by bringing out each other’s flavor profiles.
While I’m unsure of an exact release date, reviews date back to around mid-2023. Found at Aldi, April 2025.
Moser Roth Chocolate Truffle Eggs
Score: 7.75 / 10

There are a few different truffles presented here, and for the most part, they have a lot of similarities. First, the shells seem a little harder and crunchier than other truffles, Lindt, for example; still, they feel premium, and it doesn’t detract from the experience. Lastly, the inside parts are made of a soft ganache.
In rapid-fire…
The chocolate truffle is soft and tastes like a moderately sweet chocolate with a soft ganache inside; pretty ordinary. Raspberry is reasonably sweet too, although I’m not sure if it’s exactly raspberry. It’s very creamy; in fact, I’d say that overall, it’s a light raspberry, but it’s mostly cream-tasting, which comes out nicely.
The strawberry ones are, despite being creamy like the others, also the most punchy. They sport a distinct, genuine strawberry rhubarb taste where the strawberry kind of just hits you with a sour note. Lemon is light like the raspberry, mostly creamy, which is nice because lemon is normally punchy, and this time, it takes a back row seat. Finally, caramel, like the chocolate truffle flavor, is pretty normal and is simply a lightly sweet caramel flavor.
Overall, a great combination of different flavors, mostly light and creamy.
Released February 2025 for the Easter season. Found at Aldi, April 2025.
Moser Roth Spring Chocolate Truffles
Score: 7.25 / 10 (overall)

What I like most about these isn’t the variety of flavors; it’s the texture. Thick, soft-crunchy shells with a super-soft ganache provide the inner, flavorful sweet filling.
Caramel macchiato–my favorite from the bunch! They provide a fairly sweet, milk chocolate taste with a light coffee flavoring as a side. It’s a good combination and doesn’t taste too artificial or fake; in fact, it’s quite pleasant, as the coffee part isn’t too strong or bitter—notably, it falls on its sugary sweet side.
The next interesting one is the passion fruit, and, well, it just isn’t my thing. It’s reasonably sweet, and there’s a fruity, creamy passion fruit taste. It sounds good, but just something about the passion fruit in this form and sweetness isn’t my thing. Perhaps the worst of the bunch, although it’s still decent.
Dark Chocolate is very typical. It’s sweet, dark, and a little bitter despite the sugar. It feels like around 70 percent dark chocolate. The inner filling and shell taste uniform.
Strawberry is decent, definitely a sugary strawberry that isn’t too candy-like. The shell provides some creaminess to the flavor. That’s really it!
I’m unsure of a release date for these, although they likely are only around for the spring season. Found at Aldi, April 2025.
Choceur Chocolate Eggs with Spoons: Milk Creme and Cookies & Creme
Scores:
Cookies & Creme: 7.5 / 10
Milk Creme: 7.25 / 10

Cookies & Creme: I didn’t taste too much cookies and cream here, as the sweetness overwhelms much of it. The center is very sweet, with an artificial frosting and sugary cream taste, with the lightest hint of chocolate from the micro cookie pieces. It resembles Oreo Creme Eggs if you ever had those, except these are even more sweet! There’s a decent amount of this frosting on the inside, but it’s around half hollow. The filling is incredibly soft, like a soft ganache, making it easily spoonable with the included spoon. Additionally–and this is something I’ve never experienced—the milk chocolate shell is very, very soft and sweet, and it literally–and I mean literally—melts in your mouth!
Milk Creme: Just like Cookies & Creme, but the flavor is more straightforward and even sweeter! It’s straight-up sugary sweet with no real discernible flavor, as if you’re eating sugar in a cream-based form. It’s so sweet, and honestly, while I personally don’t mind it, it needs some flavor to tag along with all that sugar!
Both of these have soft enough fillings you can eat with the included spoon.
While I’m not sure of an exact release date, reviews date back to early March 2021. It likely released at similar times in later years, as I found this early April 2025 at Aldi.
Choceur Easter Bark: Carrot Cake and Blueberry Cobbler
Scores:
Carrot Cake: 8 / 10
Blueberry Cobbler:7.5 / 10

Carrot Cake: A strong scent of sweet vanilla cream cheese carrot cake. Taste-wise, it’s just that and so much more. It’s so complex! It consists mostly of a sweet, creamy vanilla cream cheese flavor with a light carrot cake background. Along with embedded raisins and soft walnuts, this adds a light complexity to the taste and texture. There is also noticeable brown powder embedded throughout that provides a touch of nutmeg and other spices. Weirdly, the texture isn’t bark! It’s so soft and smooth, like a candy bar that sat out for a few minutes in a warm room–you can bite right through it without any serious crunch.
Blueberry Cobbler: The taste is a very light candy blueberry that mostly consists of a good amount of sugary-tasting sweetness. Really, the blueberry could be stronger and a little more authentic; still, it’s still appreciable because of how light it is. The embedded cookie pieces and blueberries provide small crunchy bits to the smooth, soft bark, although not really anything in terms of flavor, as the bark’s sweetness overpowers it.
Likely released in late March 2025 for the Easter season. Found early April 2025 at Aldi.
Moser Roth St. Patrick’s Day Chocolate Truffles
Score: 8 / 10

The standout and unique truffle here is the Irish Coffee flavor. It’s definitely an Irish coffee flavoring with a very sweet and creamy taste. Really, they should make a whole box dedicated to just this one! It feels authentic and is quite enjoyable to savor. Interestingly, the center looks like chocolate but doesn’t at all taste like it!
As for the others, they’re all quite sweet, and as advertised for their flavor, I just feel like they’re kind of boring and too traditional: sweet vanilla, sweet chocolate, etc. Their sweetness levels are close to Russell Stover candies, but the big benefit is that they taste less artificial. Regardless, I especially like how thick the shells are, and with a thick, soft-solid ganache filling, it all feels premium and a cut above the rest in terms of the truffle market.
These came around February 26, 2025, although earlier year releases have been noted. Found at Aldi, March 2025.
Choceur Red Velvet Cookies & Cream Bark and Strawberries & Cream Bark
Score: 7.5 / 10 (for both)

Both of the barks aren’t super crunchy like traditional bark, in fact, they’re soft, a bit softer than a regular chocolate bar. The shape is also similar to a chocolate bar.
Red Velvet: A pleasantly sweet and creamy red velvet flavor. There are also light crunches from embedded candy pieces. There isn’t much else to say!
Strawberry: A bit sweeter than the Red Velvet, it’s especially creamy, like you’re biting into a strawberry with extra sugar and a layer of white chocolate. These really resemble Lindt strawberry-flavored truffles.
Released January 2025 for the Valentine’s season. Found at Aldi, February 2025.
Choceur Milk Chocolate S’mores Clusters
Score: 8.5 / 10

A thick, semi-chewy caramel connects the mini graham crackers, marshmallows, and chocolate. Surprisingly, it’s not as sweet as I would have thought; however, it’s still sweet enough. To me, the caramel and crunchy graham cracker steal the show in terms of flavor; still, it has a nice background of chocolate and marshmallow. The texture of these is also pretty good: a mix of thick caramel, crunchy graham cracker, and chewy marshmallow.
While I’m not sure when this was released, some reviews date back to 2023. Found at Aldi, January 2025.
Choceur Dark Chocolate Marzipan Log
Score: 8 / 10

A thick, soft, moist marzipan inside. It’s sweet, and the dark chocolate shell provides a light, appreciated crunch. It’s your typical marzipan flavor with some added sugar; that’s about it!
Not sure when this was released. Found at Aldi, December 2024.
Choceur Dark Chocolate Peppermint Marshmallow
Score: 7 / 10

The thin chocolate shell and flavor remind me of peppermint patties if they added a bunch of air and made the center puffy. The inside is a pleasant marshmallow with a noticeable but not overly bold peppermint taste. Overall, it’s tasty, and the peppermint pairs well with the dark chocolate shell.
Likely released around November 2023 for the winter season. Exclusive to Aldi. Found at Aldi, December 2024.
Choceur Raisins & Hazelnuts
Score: 7 / 10

90% a regular milk chocolate bar with crunchy hazelnuts. The rest is small, soft raisins embedded throughout, mostly adding only to the texture. I would have thought the raisins would be weird; however, in reality, they don’t really add too much at all. Overall, the bar isn’t too sweet and mostly tastes like milk chocolate with hazelnuts.
Likely released sometime around 2023 or 2024 for the fall season. Found at Aldi, September 2024.
Aldi Moser Roth Cinco De Mayo Chocolates
Score: 8 / 10

A small box of a well-decorated, diverse number of Latin-based flavored chocolates. My personal favorite is the horchata, as it nails the flavor perfectly–well, they all do! These are honestly some of the most unique chocolates I’ve tasted. I also love how thick the truffle shell is with the super soft filling.
Likely first released in late April 2023 for Cinco de Mayo. Released again around the same time in 2024. Exclusive to Aldi. Found at Aldi, August 2024.
Choceur Strawberry Creme Milk Chocolate
Score: 7.5 / 10

A surprisingly sweet strawberry taste that’s additionally super creamy. There’s a mini crunch from the embedded strawberry pieces in the thick, creamy filling. Interestingly, these come packaged as individually wrapped long chocolate pieces.
No official release date. Reviews date back to around 2020. Only at Aldi. Found at Aldi, July 2024.
Moser Roth Valentine’s Chocolate Truffles
Score: 9 / 10

It’s so much more premium tasting and less sweet than your typical run-of-the-mill Russell Stover or Whitman truffles. The shells on these are thick, semi-sweet, and contain a sweet-tasting filling. Every part of it screams premium, and each truffle has a distinct, bold flavor. Also, they’re so cutely decorated!
Not sure when this Aldi Valentine’s exclusive was released. Found February 2024 at Aldi.

Choceur White Chocolate with Spiced Cookie Pieces Bar
Score: 6.5 / 10

One of the largest, thickest candy bars I’ve had! The texture is that of a regular chocolate bar, and the taste is… different? I’m not sure. It’s a moderately sweet white chocolate (not as sweet as Hershey’s, for example), and it has a hint of something else. Is it the crunchy embedded cookie pieces giving it that flavor? Probably, though, I’m just not sure what flavor that is exactly.
Released November 2023 for the holiday season alongside a Peppermint Creme flavor. Exclusive to Aldi. Found at Aldi, December 2023.

Moser Roth Chocolate Truffles
Score: 7 / 10

From lightly sweet dark chocolate to the sweet white chocolate truffles, these all taste premium. Each one has a thick shell with a soft filling. For the price, these taste so much more premium than they let on.
Not sure when these were released, although this brand is produced by Storck for Aldi stores. Found at Aldi, November 2023.

Moser Roth Mini Chocolades Filled with Hazelnut Creme
Score: 7 / 10

Each of these is annoyingly individually wrapped and is troublesome to peel off the foil. They’re all hard-shelled milk chocolate balls that have a semi-soft hazelnut-flavored center that’s reminiscent of Nutella but not as sweet.
Not sure when these were released, although this brand is produced by Storck for Aldi stores. Found at Aldi, November 2023.
Choceur Salted Caramel Belgian Chocolate Waves
Score: 6 / 10

I really thought these would be chips covered in chocolate. Instead, they’re small chocolate shells in the shape of Pringles with bits of crunchy pieces throughout. They’re lightly sweet and have a basic milk chocolate taste.
Not sure when these were released, although this brand is produced by Storck for Aldi stores. Found at Aldi, November 2023.
Choceur European Chocolate Collection
Score: 7 / 10

Weirdly, most of these chocolates have very similar tastes and almost identical textures. That’s not to say they were bad, though; it was all pretty tasty, although they really need the flavors to differentiate themselves from other competing products. And while these were still sweet, they weren’t unbearably sweet like other candy assortments like Russell Stover. The texture of each candy was a soft shell with a soft, creamy inside.
Aldi’s brand, Choceur, has been selling identical candy collections like this for several years, designing the box differently based on the occasion. Found at Aldi, November 2023.

Aldi Choceur Cookies ‘N’ Creme
Score: 7 / 10

The cookies and cream middle is both soft and has bits of crunch from the cookies. Overall, it’s fairly sweet but not overly so, and the chocolate shell is regular milk chocolate. The quality is about average, similar to Milka Oreo chocolate bars, but it tastes slightly less quality and is cheaper. Note that each piece is long and individually wrapped.
I’m not sure when this was released, although I found it in Aldi in August 2023. This brand is produced by Storck for Aldi stores.
Aldi Peanuts & Cornflakes Choceur Bar
Score: 6 / 10

Semi-sweet, small peanut flavor with a light crunch. These bars are also very thick and have quite a bit of peanut and cornflakes embedded within them. The chocolate bar is a little less sweet than typical bars like Hershey’s. The quality tastes very average, and the texture of the chocolate is typical; it is neither too soft nor too hard.
Likely released sometime in the summer of 2023. Exclusive to Aldi, as this brand is produced by Storck for Aldi stores. Found at Aldi, August 2023.
