Pringles Miller Lite Beer Can Chicken, Beer-Braised Steak, and Beer Brat

Scores
Beer Can Chicken: 5.75 / 10
Beer-Braised Steak: 6 / 10
Beer Brat: 5.75 / 10

Beer Can Chicken: So… uh… where is the advertised flavor? Chicken? Nope. Any alcohol or beer flavor? Nay. These are 90% regular Pringles with maybe, just maybe, if I think hard enough, the slightest bitter-like flavor and some random seasoning in the background. Unfortunately, these aren’t worth the hype and not even close to how they’re advertised—then again, the can does say ‘lite’ on it. Overall, it’s still a tasty Pringle, just very underwhelming.

Beer-Braised Steak: I’ve had a lot of meaty chips, and these simply aren’t it. Sure, there is a discernible smoky grilled steak flavor, but holy moly, it is way too mild. It’s there, but in a similar vein, it’s really not. The only good thing I can think about these chips would be as a way to introduce someone to meat-flavored chips as a starter before giving them the real deal. In my opinion, these are the best of the three, albeit since the flavor is so dimmed down, it’s not by much!

Beer Brat: Okay, there’s some super light grilled-like flavor and… sweetness? Is that what I taste? Yeah, it’s almost like they added a touch of sugar to these instead of the advertised sausage. The combination of the two flavors isn’t bad, but it suffers like the rest of the chips in this small lineup: too mild and not precisely as advertised.

Released early May 2025 for a limited time. To note, the Beer-Braised Steak flavor is a Walmart exclusive.

Little Debbie Nutty Buddy Cakes

Score: 7.75 / 10

It reminds me of what it would be like if Nutty Buddy and Twinkies had a kid. The traditional Nutty Buddy peanut flavor is there, and the whole cake comes across as reasonably sweet—about the same sweetness as a Nutty Buddy. It’s also reasonably moist, lightly dense, and has a small creamy peanut cream center—like a Twinkie, albeit a Twinkie has a white cream center. Essentially, it’s a pretty good peanutty cake.

Notably, when refrigerated, the cake gets denser, and the chocolate shell almost provides a light, pleasant crunch. It really starts to feel like a real cake—I love it this way! Even more so, when in the freezer, they still remain reasonably soft and get even denser! They almost, almost get hard, but they don’t—still remaining reasonably easy to bite through.

Released in April 2025. Found on the Walmart website.

Lucky Charms Just Magical Marshmallows with Jumbo Rainbows

Score: 7 / 10

Yup, it’s those cereal marshmallows—and lots of them, including tons of big jumbo rainbows too!

I’ve never had this many before; it really lets me sample what Lucky Charms marshmallows are all about. First, it reminds me of cotton candy and, well, marshmallows, as they have that pure, fairly sweet, sugar-exclusive taste. Really, it feels like sugar is just melting in my mouth. Texture-wise, they feel cheap and almost freeze-dried. They resemble this artificial, soft concoction with a slight crunch that nowhere near mimics an actual soft and chewy marshmallow.

Overall, these are great by themselves, as well as on or in anything! In brutal honesty, I was going to rank them lower, then I realized I nearly finished the full bag—they’re addicting!

Released early March 2025 alongside a Jumbo Rainbow cereal and Birthday Cake flavored variants. Limited edition. Found on Amazon.

Moon Pie Minis: Vanilla Cookie Birthday Party Pies

Score: 7.25 / 10

I like these a lot better than regular Moon Pies! Instead of that unpleasant, spongy “shell” that houses the marshmallow, this one is instead represented by two soft, semi-crunchy, moderately sweet, airy vanilla cookies that start to break apart when biting in. It’s moderately sweet and has a clear, vanilla cookie taste—just as advertised! These two cookies surround a cheap, soft, solid-like marshmallow blob that’s equally easy to bite through. It all feels on the cheaper side, but they’re still a tasty enough snack!

When microwaved, the inside marshmallow filling puffs up a lot, and the outside cookie shell nearly disintegrates into the marshmallow. Basically, it becomes a stringy, gooey mess.

Released in around early May, 2025. Found at Walmart.

Doritos Golden Sriracha

Score: 5.75 / 10

More or less, this is pretty much like your regular Doritos with a decent amount of seasoning and a small kick. The seasoning and overall flavor do resemble Sriracha, which is nice, although it’s largely overtaken by the traditional Doritos corn taste—something I personally don’t particularly enjoy much. Alongside these flavors, there is some faint sweetness hiding in the background that complements it all.

Released in early January 2025. Found at Walmart.

Goya Dulce de Leche and Mango Wafers

Scores
Dulce de Leche: 5.25 / 10
Mango: 5.75 / 10

Dulce de Leche: Is this even dulce de leche? It’s incredibly faint, like, you really need to think that you’re tasting it. It’s not at all sweet and consists mostly of a plain sugar wafer flavor with, again, if you really think about it, a dulce de leche or caramel-like flavor. Texture-wise, it feels cheap, almost stale, as it’s very soft and airy. Please add more sweetness!

Mango: An extremely light, almost faint mango smell and taste. At the very least, it’s a tad sweeter than its dulce de leche counterpart. Needless to say, the flavor is incredibly mild and only comes across as semi-sweet at most. There isn’t much cream either, and the wafer is extraordinarily airy and soft—it all feels cheap. Overall, they need to make a more premium-tasting wafer and throw in a lot more sweetness.

I’m unsure of a release date for either of these, although they seem to have been around for a few years at least. Found at Stop & Shop.

Bergen Obsession White Chocolate Red Velvet Cookies

Score: 7.5 / 10

A semi-soft, very smooth, and creamy white chocolate shell overlaps a reasonably crunchy, almost thin-like, red velvet-tasting cookie. Additionally, there is a small, thin layer of soft white frosting that brings the textures together. It’s interesting because the crunchy part, since it’s so airy, feels on the cheaper side, although the shell and frosting part save it. All together, it’s a pleasant combination of varying textures.

Flavors are accurate. The white chocolate shell and frosting provide a light, moderately sweet white chocolate flavor that’s inoffensive and doesn’t come across as too “candy-like.” The crunchy cookie does indeed have a red velvet flavor, although there is a hint of artificialness, but for the most part, it’s largely ignorable. Lastly, the filling simply adds to the white chocolate flavor. Overall, if you enjoy red velvet, you’ll enjoy these.

I’m unsure of a release date. Found at Ocean State Job Lot.

Maestro Massimo Wafer Cubetti with Espresso Cream

Score: 7.5 / 10

Compared to other wafers, these feel much more premium. The inside chocolate is dark chocolate flavored with a hint of espresso—really, they could have absolutely bumped up that coffee flavor. It doesn’t come across at all bitter or artificial; it’s quite pleasant, actually. The wafer surrounds these thick, moist layers of chocolate, presenting an airy, lightly crunchy, semi-sweet, complementary, wafer-tasting shell. Overall, it’s not all that sweet and lacks a distinct espresso flavor, but it’s premium enough that you can still appreciate both the texture and flavor.

Barton’s Peanut Butter & Jelly Cups

Score: 7.25 / 10

First, the shell of these is pretty thick, and the filling, consisting of soft-solid peanut butter and an equally soft-solid jelly substance, is small—like, really small. It’s nothing like on the packaging and instead feels like they skimped out. Still, it’s all pretty smooth and soft-feeling; the mouthfeel is nice, and it’s easy to bite through.

In terms of flavor, it’s all equally lightly sweet, and the flavors are inoffensive. In fact, you could argue it could use more sugar and bolder flavors. Anyway… The milk chocolate shell is probably the sweetest part, and even then, it’s not super-duper sweet like some other chocolates. It doesn’t give any artificial or off-tasting vibes either. Next comes the peanut butter, which is semi-sweet and also light-tasting. Finally, the jelly portion, which is hardly sweet and on the darker side, doesn’t provide too much to the overall flavor, nor can I tell what flavor it represents—perhaps a darker berry or grape? It almost feels flavorless in a way.

I’m unsure of a release date, although the earliest report I can find is from August 2024. Found at Ocean State Job Lot.
