
Homemade Customizable Uncrustables Copycats
Skip the store-bought version and enjoy making your own homemade Uncrustables right in your kitchen. These easy sealed sandwiches can be filled with whatever you like, from the classic peanut butter and jelly to Nutella, cream cheese, fruit, or even savory fillings. They can be eaten right away, lightly crisped in the air fryer, or stored in the freezer for a quick snack or lunchbox favorite.
Equipment
- uncrustables maker or sandwich crust cutter
- air fryer optional
- oil spray or butter (optional, if using air fryer)
Ingredients
- loaf of white bread keto / low carb and other breads also work
- filling Nutella, PB&J, candies, etc
- dustings optional: sugar, cinnamon, etc
Instructions
- Top the center part of a slice of bread with your filling. Add another slice of bread on top. Repeat several times.
- Using the sandwich crust cutter, cut through and crimple the bread. Make sure they’re sealed.
- Enjoy, or if you’re using an air fryer, lightly spray the Uncrustables with oil and place in the air fryer at 400°F for 3-5 minutes.
- If you’ve air fried them, eat immediately, otherwise, they can be stored in an air tight container or frozen.
Notes
- I had to make this recipe after really enjoying Uncrustables but being frustrated with the price!
- These sandwiches are completely customizable. You can use classic peanut butter and jelly, Nutella, cream cheese and fruit, or even savory options like ham and cheese. They can be eaten right away, warmed in the air fryer, or frozen for up to 2 months for a quick snack or lunchbox meal.
