Dunkin’ Donuts Churro Donut

Score: 6 / 10

Like some other reviewers, I asked myself “was this a day old?” It’s exactly like their old fashioned donut if you were to leave it out for a day and coat it in cinnamon and sugar. It is like a churro? I guess, assuming a churro is only about the cinnamon and sugar. If you’re a churro connoisseur, you’re going to be disappointed by the dry, non-crunchy texture.

Released February 21, 2024 for a limited time along with other new products such as a Churro Latte.

Brach’s Easter Brunch Jelly Beans

Score: 6 / 10

While I appreciate the variety of flavors, something is off. Each one of the advertised flavors is represented in some capacity except they come across as artificial and even off-putting, almost like the food flavorings were a few days past their expiration date. Still not terrible, but not great though. Weirdly, eating a mixed handful somehow tastes decent.

Released around late January 2024 for the Easter season. Found at Amazon and Target.

Reese’s Coffee Cake Mix

Score: 6 / 10

The directions are simply and all this needs are a few basic ingredients. However, underbake this by several minutes or else it’ll burn!

None of this feels like coffee cake. It’s substantially more dry and crumbly. The flavor is mostly plain and lightly sweet. Most of the flavor comes from the few Reese’s peanut chips throughout. As a Reese’s fanatic, I was disappointed. This needs more Reese’s and coffee cake flavor, as well as to make the texture more moist.

Released late 2022 / early 2023 alongside other Reese’s baked mixes like cookies, brownies, and pancakes. Found at Stop & Shop.

McDonald’s Shamrock McFlurry

Score: 7.5 / 10

A soothing and refreshing creamy mint soft-serve. To note, this is nowhere near as strong as your typical peppermint or mint candies, so don’t worry too much if you’re not a big minty person. I personally loved the flavor swirls of vanilla ice cream with the minty green syrup, not to mention the Oreo which brings it all together by adding crunchy chocolatey bits. At the bottom though, there was a semi-thick layer of syrup that was extremely minty, almost bitter–I guess this wasn’t mixed in fully!

The Shamrock McFlurry and Shake have been released every year around February for Saint Patrick’s Day. These are limited editions. I’m not sure of the exact initial release dates.

White & Dark Chocolate Easter Sundae M&M’s

Score: 7.5 / 10

A cut above your standard milk chocolate M&M’s. The flavor complexity is interesting, having a noticable sweet dark chocolate taste coupled with a white chocolate or vanilla. It’s almost confusing but it works so well. When I bit in, I didn’t expect the dark chocolate to be the primary taste as it’s only part of the thin layer that surrounds a large white chocolate chunk. Overall, I hope they make more dark chocolate M&M’s paired with other flavors!

Released late December 2023 / early January 2024. As noted by snackolator, “It looks like the last time that Easter Sundae M&M’s were available was in 2016 with a mix of milk and white chocolate, but this year’s version has a dark chocolate outside and white chocolate inside.”

Little Debbie Easter Marshmallow Puffs

Score: 8.5 / 10

This is an edible pillow. It has a super thick, firm, yet soft marshmallow on top of a tasty thin layer of chocolate cake. Combined with the sweet shell, the texture is a wonderful concoction. This combination made me genuinely feel like I was biting into a chunky marshmallow pillow! What’s funny is that these aren’t as sweet as most other Little Debbie snacks you might be used to, though, don’t be too letdown, these still pack a sweet punch.

Releases every year for Easter along with other Easter related Little Debbie snacks. I’ve only seen these at specific Walmarts.

Lindt Lindor Birthday Cake Truffles

Score: 7.5 / 10

Not much birthday, a whole lot of sweet, bold, creamy vanilla. There isn’t much else to say about these. They’re typical Lindt truffles with a strong vanilla taste. I’d like to see more of a birthday cake taste and to incorporate some crunchy sprinkles.

Released around July 2023.

Icee Blue Raspberry Peeps

Score: 6 / 10

As soon as I opened these, I was blown away by the blue raspberry smell. Then tasting, I immediately thought, “Wow, this is exactly like a blue raspberry Icee.” Both the smell and taste is identical to a blue raspberry Icee you’d get at a theater. Even the sweetness level is just right. Nothing off or weird either. Honestly, a perfect rendition in Peeps marshmallow form!

Released late January / early February along with several other new Peeps products for the Easter season. Target exclusive.

Peeps Chocolate Dipped Strawberry Delights

Score: 7.5 / 10

First thought: The chocolate pairs so well here! There is a light, artificial strawberry-like taste, but for the most part, it’s outweighed by the sweet, solid milk chocolate shell–and I’m not mad either, it’s super tasty together!

Released late January / early February along with several other new Peeps products for the Easter season. Exclusive to Target.

Mike & Ike Peeps Pop

Score: 6 / 10

Exactly like a Mike & Ike in Peeps form. I’m honestly surprised at how accurate the flavor and sweetness is, it really feels like they melted some of the candies and soaked some peeps in them. I also don’t think the colors tasted any different!

Released late January / early February along with several other new Peeps products for the Easter season. Found at Target.
