Girl Scout Do-si-Dos
Score: 7 / 10
The cookie part is more like a cookie-biscuit in terms of texture and is on the more dry and crumbly side, sort of like a thick Ritz. Flavor wise, there’s a light peanut taste from the thin inner layer. Overall, it’s not a terrible peanut cookie, but it could use less of a biscuity composition as well as a stronger peanut flavor.
One of the first cookies released in 1974.
Jell-O Oreo Cookies ‘n Creme Pudding
Score: 7.5 / 10
This would make for a good base, perhaps as a whoopie pie filling or for the inside of a pie crust. It’s creamy and has a noticable but not overly strong Oreo taste. It’s slightly less sweet than that of an Oreo. I also like the tiny bits of Oreos but I wish they were larger!
Not sure when this was released. It’s been around for several years now according to reviews. Found at Walmart.
Little Debbie Turtle Brownies
Score: 9 / 10
Despite a light caramel drizzle, the caramel flavor comes right through. It’s sweet and compliments the moist chocolate brownie perfectly. There’s even a slight nutty flavor from the toppings. All together, this is a wonderful turtle brownie! Also, these are very good heated up!
Not sure when these were released although reviews date back to several years ago. Found at Stop & Shop.
Pepperidge Farm Milano London Fog Cookies
Score: 7 / 10
I expected bitterness but what I got was a decently sweet cookie. It’s puzzling though, I can’t make out what flavor is. It’s not strong by any means, it’s mostly just a sugary tasting filling and biscuit with the slightest hint of tea.
Released for a limited time March 2024. Found at Stop & Shop.
Aldi Moser Roth Cinco De Mayo Chocolates
Score: 8 / 10
A small box of well decorated, diverse number of Latin based flavored chocolates. My personal favorite is the horchata as it nails the flavor perfectly–well, they all do! These are honestly some of the most unique chocolates I’ve tasted. I also love how thick the truffle shell is with the super soft filling.
Likely first released late April 2023 for Cinco de Mayo. Released again around the same time in 2024. Exclusive to Aldi.
Jell-O No Bake Oreo Dessert
Score: 7.5 / 10
This comes with a chocolate Oreo crust, Oreo pieces, and the flour to make the filling. It’s super easy to make, and what you get in the end is an Oreo pudding pie.
It’s pretty good, not as sweet as an Oreo, but still a decent Oreo pudding pie. The white filling isn’t as thick as I would have expected, though it does harden more in the fridge. For the crust, it’s just crumbled Oreo cookie pieces and provides a nice texture. If anything, I wish the white creme was sweeter.
Not sure when this was released although reviews date back to around 2019. Found at Walmart.
Pillsbury Cinnamon Toast Crunch Cinnamon Rolls
Score: 7.5 / 10
The only difference between this and regular cinnamon rolls is that the frosting it comes with has bits of cinnamon mixed in. After cooking and spreading the frosting though, it’s identical to your typical cinnamon rolls but with a higher price tag. The inside dough is on the dryer side, although I don’t know if that’s common amongst most cinnamon rolls.
Released around June 2021 alongside a cookie dough version. Found at Walmart.
Asher’s Milk Chocolate Peanut Butter Meltaway Egg
Score: 8 / 10
A thin layer of chocolate surrounds a thick, soft, creamy, moderately sweet peanut butter filling. It’s a solid filling, although it quite literally, melts in your mouth. It’s very similar to Lerro’s (below) but more creamy. Not worth the premium price tag.
Not sure when this was released, although these seem to only come around on Easter. Found at Boscov’s.
Lerro’s Peanut Butter Egg
Score: 8 / 10
Incredibly thick; a thin layer of milk chocolate surrounds a soft, nicely sweet peanut butter. Compared to a Reese’s, it’s more thick and less sweet, and compared to Asher’s (above), it’s slightly less creamy and doesn’t melt in your mouth. Not worth the premium price tag.
Not sure when this was released, although these seem to only come around on Easter. Found at Boscov’s.
