Thinking aloud about future names for my fantasy bakery, a colleague blurted out, “Victors Biscuits!”
My love for food has grown with me. From eating frosting out of the can as a sweet-toothed kid to now wanting to try cuisine from cultures I’ve yet to experience (the frosting eating has not changed, however). Often, I find myself attempting to replicate these dishes at home, to my disappointment, although the journey of learning about the process and understanding a dish’s history is so worth it. In doing this, I feel a little more part of our diverse community, which is something I’ve been engaged in since I was younger.
My other hobbies include writing, being a tasteless food critic, and community advocacy. From trying the newest snack or restaurant to writing reviews and supporting our local communities, I feel it’s all connected.
