Elf on the Shelf Christmas Cakebites

Score: 7.5 / 10

All individually wrapped, these are on the sweeter side, similar to other snack cakes. Except, these are much thicker and stiff, with the horizontal layers breaking apart on occasion. They’re still soft enough to bite through, though, it’s just something to keep in mind! Further, this texture combination is not something I’ve had before either–it’s oddly satisfying! In terms of flavor, it’s straight up vanilla, nothing more.

First released around November 2022. Found at Aldi.

Walmart Apple Cinnamon Iced Mini Donuts

Score: 6.5 / 10

The slightest taste of apple and a hint of cinnamon accompany these. Other than that, these are regular tasting donuts with a soft, semi-moist texture. None of them taste differently than the other. Overall, while I found them to be less sweet than their other mini donut counterparts and typical donuts, they’re still decent enough.

Not sure when this was released.

Walmart Bettergoods Cookie Butter Filled Milk Chocolate Bar

Score: 8 / 10

The super creamy, sweet chocolate shell houses a lightly crunchy cookie butter filling. These flavors are so darn good together, none overpowering the other. The interesting flavor concoction and the creamy, crunchy texture is wonderful. Overall, this bar tastes premium!

Not sure of an exact release date, although reviews date back to September 2024.

Walmart Bettergoods Dark Chocolate with Key Lime Pie Flavored Filling

Score: 7 / 10

A plain, slightly dark milk chocolate bar with a thin white layer of filling. The key lime inside isn’t too strong, it’s about right and pretty light. It is both creamy and has a lightly sweet and limey taste. Together, the chocolate works well with the filling. I could see most people enjoying this!

Theo Organic Lemon Milk Chocolate Bar

Score: 6 / 10

A regular, semi-sweet milk chocolate bar with a hint of lemon. Together, I don’t feel like these flavors mix well. Something about the lemon makes it taste odd. Additionally, it’s hardly sweet and could really use a little more sugar, or to heck with it, infuse a more punchy lemon!

My Motto Tiramisu Wafer

Score: 7 / 10

Wow, probably one of the most bold wafer cookies I’ve had! Immediately, I could smell and taste a coffee flavor followed by sweet dark chocolate. With the wafer, it definitely resembles a tiramisu, although it’s not exact. The wafers are lightly crunchy and airy, and work well with the soft creamy layers.

Leona Sheherezada Cappuccino Chocolate Dessert

Score: 8 / 10

A thin dry shell made of a white and chocolate coating. The inside is what makes it though: moist, thick, and moderately sweet, composed of a thick layer of light milk chocolate and biscuity-vanilla soldified ganache. I really love the texture, it’s extremely satisfying to eat!

Theo Organic Gingerbread Toffee Dark Chocolate Bar

Score: 5.5 / 10

So dark, almost bitter, overpowering the gingerbread and toffee bits embedded throughout. Personally, I’m simply not a fan despite loving both gingerbread and toffee. This would likely be better if it had a creamy filling or was more of a sweet milk chocolate bar.

Michelina’s Snacks Rolls Taco Bites

Score: 6 / 10

I microwaved these. It’s not bad, having a decent amount of traditional taco seasoning and meat flavor. However, it seems to be a bit overwhelmed by the amount of dough. Really, there needs to be more filling or less dough to make this really shine. Texture is, like the flavor, chewy and doughy.

Not sure when this released. Found at Dollar Tree.

Krispie House Caramel French Toast Rice Krispie Treat

Score: 7.5 / 10

So thick! It really feels like a premium Rice Krispie bar! The taste is a traditional homemade Rice Krispie treat with a light taste of caramel and cinnamon. It pairs well with the marshmallow taste and solid, thick texture. If anything, I wish the toppings were more abundant to add even more complexity.

Not sure when this released. Found at Walmart.
