Clancy’s Cinnamon & Brown Sugar Sweet Potato Chips
Score: 6 / 10
Lightly crunchy and almost “moist” feeling as it’s a sweet potato chip. The flavor is sweet potato with a touch of cinnamon and decent amount of sugar. Overall, not bad, just not as great as I thought it’d be.
May have been released sometime in fall 2024. Found at Aldi.
Dunkin’ Donuts Brown Sugar Cookie Oat Iced Chai Latte
Score: 6.5 / 10
Too much going on. Yes, you can taste all the flavors, but it’s too much together. It’s not necessarily a bad combo, I’d just go with one or two less ingredients as it feels oppressive. Overall, moderately sweet with a complicated concoction of flavors.
Released early November 2024 for a limited time.
Walgreens nice! Peelable and Center Filled Gummy Candy: Pineapple, Green Apple, Mango, Lychee, & Orange
Scores
Pineapple: 5 / 10
Orange, Apple: 6 / 10
Lychee: 6.25 / 10
Mango: 6.5 / 10
Pineapple: Plain, hardish gummy with no burst in the center. Instead, the center has the smallest amount of thin goo imaginable, contributing nothing to the candy. The overall taste of it all is pretty plain with a hint of lightly sweet pineapple. Texture, unfortunately, is kind of chewy and hard… just give me a regular gummy.
Gummy Orange and Apple: About your typical, regular soft gummy with orange and apple tastes. Tastes aren’t too sweet and the flavor is just right–enjoyable and pleasant to eat. Not much else to say about it!
Lychee: This sports a semi-hard, chewy thin shell with a soft gummy inside that houses most of the flavor. You can peel away this shell or eat the entire thing. Either way, the inside gummy is… weird? It looks pale, the texture is stickier and softer than a regular gummy, and essentially, it’s where all the flavor is. The flavor is a lightly sweet lychee, and frankly, it could have used a bit more sweetness to bring it out.
Mango: Similar to lychee, this gummy has a soft, thin shell with a soft-sticky inside. Due to the stickyness and shape, if you decide to peel it, the thick orange inside gets warped and stuck to the shell. It’s a very light mango flavor, nothing too artificial, and like lychee, I wish it was a tad sweeter. Best out of the bunch in terms of flavor and uniqueness, though!
Released in the fall of 2023.
Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey Cake
Score: 5.5 / 10
The smell and taste is that of artificial alcohol. For some, this can come across as off-tasting, almost perfume-like. However, I thought it was just okay and bearable. The chocolate was moderately sweet and on the darker side, and the texture was a semi-dense, slightly moist cake. It’s not a bad cake texture-wise, it just needs less fake alcohol flavor to be more welcoming.
Not sure when this was released. Found at Ocean State Job Lot.
Jennies Very Vanilla Coconut Bites
Score: 8 / 10
So extraordinarily creamy, wow; It’s so milky! It comes across as moderately sweet with a creamy vanilla taste. It’s definitely made of coconut too, being very moist and a little chewy–such a great texture! If anything, I can’t really taste any marshmallow as advertised… It’s really just a sweet, creamy, vanilla coconut.
Released October 2021. Found at Ocean State Job Lot.
Cow Tales Honey Bun
Score: 7.5 / 10
A pleasantly soft and chewy thick little rope of sweetness. There is an inner cream that is very similar in texture to the already soft chewy shell. Overall, the texture is extremely enjoyable! The flavor of it all is an artificial cinnamon and sugar, but interestingly, it tastes very good. Not too sweet, and the flavor itself isn’t at all off-putting or weird. It’s just different, in a good way!
Released April 5, 2024. Found at Dollar Tree.
Swiss Miss Chocolate Mini House Kit
Score: 6 / 10
Crunchy, and more thin and airy than other candy house kits. The cookie is similar to a cocoa powder-like flavor but a little less dark. The kit is very small, has a regular tasting frosting, super dry tiny marshmallows, and cheap colorful hard candy. Overall, I’m disappointed in the amount and the quality of it all. Definitely get a different candy house!
Not sure when this was released. Found at Walmart.
Choceur Dark Chocolate Peppermint Marshmallow
Score: 7 / 10
The thin chocolate shell and flavor reminds me of peppermint patties if they added a bunch of air and made the center puffy. The inside is a pleasant marshmallow with a noticable but not overly bold peppermint taste. Overall, it’s tasty, and the peppermint pairs well with the dark chocolate shell.
Likely released around November 2023 for the winter season. Exclusive to Aldi.
Cyrus O’Leary’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Pie
Score: 7 / 10
The inside comprises a soft, almost gooey filling that resembles a very soft cookie dough. Coupled with the pie crust, the texture is pretty good. The large amount of chocolate chips also add a tasty twist. In terms of taste, it’s decent. It absolutely has the flavor of a traditional chocolate chip cookie, but something about it makes it ever so slightly bitter. Warnming it up doesn’t change much. Other than that, I feel like I could make something better.
Released November 2024. Found at Walmart.
Queen Anne Cordial Blueberries
Score: 7.5 / 10
So darn sweet! The chocolate shell quickly breaks and leaves you with an extremely sweet, gooey white center. I didn’t see any blueberry explicitly but there is a faint taste of it. Compared to the cherry version, this has less of a fruit taste and moreso focuses exclusively on being sugary sweet.
May have been discontinued at some point, but I was able to find these in November 2024 at Walmart.
